The minuses - Again, this was around five pm and there was one section with the chairs already up on the tables and closed for the night. Three years ago this was a normal activity during the pandemic, but these days it just gives the place a very unwelcoming feel for a customer. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with dirty rice and a sweet tea. Once my order should have been the next one ready, a clerk announces to me that it would be another six minutes for it to be ready, and asked if I would want to substitute a Cajun fillet sandwich, which I declined. (This is after some customers in front of me were given a 15 minute wait time for their chicken order.) Once I finally have my meal, it had good flavor. A lot of area residents go here for breakfast or lunch. I hope owners give things back in shape before they find some other place to eat.

Our waitress not only kept the half and half tea in our glasses, with plenty of ice on hand, but she was friendly and efficient, too. Some folks are just naturally great at this favor of customer service...and we routinely travel from Washington to Williamston for this very reason...they are consistent in delivering exceptional food and service. They've added some outdoor seating, which I can see enjoying in the fall. The inside could you some care and updates, but I'm not there for the ambiance, really.
