Last time I came here they did outstanding but just now I was up there the lady wasn't listening to a word I said. My order was messed up and I repeated myself at least 5 times! That is ridiculous! For what it is, a fast food restaurant, Cook Out is the best! They have definitely raised their prices quite a bit over the past few years, but it's still a good value. I love that you can customize their milkshakes, although they're not really a milkshake, you really do need a spoon to eat them! Got BBQ plate- the French fries were limp and greasy, Cole slaw was cabbage- no sauce at all and the BBQ fries as too finely chopped with a smaller than usual portion and not as good as other shops BUT the hushpuppies were awesome! This is one of those cases where it feels like the staff lack oversight and everyone there has completely given up. That's understandable. Times are rough and working fast food sucks even more. But 5 out of 5 times I've been there. The staff is hella rude / agro for no reason. This time was the last straw, I would rather go hungry than to have lazy folks snap at me for asking a question. honestly, since cookout has opened in Williamston I've never had an issue before tonight. literally the only place in town that has ice cream after midnight. they close at 2:00am. it's 1:25 when I pull up and all I wanted was a milkshake. "We're not doing shakes I'm sorry" okay then what are you doing? Nothing, for the next 35 minutes? I literally drove off. This particular location is the perfect stop for us to fuel up when on our way to and from the beach. We hit it several times a year and the employees are always friendly. If only the staff weren't so dang rude. They get my order wrong every single time and the catch?? I don't want hot sauce on my bbq. The service was quick. But the burger and chicken sandwich had a strange texture on them. The bun of my chicken sandwich had a gray juice and black flakes in it. Their burgers are small. Even a double was small for a hungry adult. Again, the burger had the strange texture and flavor which overcomes the usual flavor of a good burger. It's was as expected. Food was fresh and hot. Staff was nice and courteous. Would recommend.

Stopping by on the way back home from the beach all was well we got our food and drinks but we ordered a chicken quesadilla with no cheese we wanted to put it on ourselves to get the amount we like well we opened the quesadilla and there was no chicken... we go to the window and the lady started yelling and slammed the window screaming "whatever". I had to go get my sisters boyfriend to get her to remake it. She also continued to throw her hands up and yell. They fixed it but when she handed it out the window she slug it out the window leaving us to catch it. Well to start with I have never been to this Cook Out but the food was good. The chicken quesadilla actually had some chicken in it and I received plenty of onion rings in my order. I asked for Cook Out sauce but did not receive it so had to eat the OR dry. The cashier needs a lesson in math because my total was $4.11, I gave her $20 and she gave me back $15.11.
