Drink service area was leaking 'buckets' of water all over the floor and one individual was taking his time to clean it up. He would start, walk away, come back and leave again. They put a hazard sign up but the drink area was unaccessable. Everything could be improved not just food service and employees. I ordered a milkshake vanilla and it had black dots in it like it came from leftover Oreos or maybe dirt the cup had a hole in the bottom I took it back inside to ask for a new milkshake they poured it into a new cup and put more whipped cream on it and handed it to me in an even dirtier cup and you can clearly see the whipped cream on the side of the cup where they poured the old milkshake into the new cup. the sign said milkshakes were $3 I was charged $4.59 and told that after taxes that's how much it would come up to from $3 but I know better than that. The young lady at the window that was handing out food her hands were very dirty and so were her nails. Yesterday, I purchased a cheesburger at the drive through . The menu price was 4.69 but I was charged 5.16 (Tax added at .47). Today I ordered a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit menu price 3.99 charged price 4.39 (Tax added was .40) That means the tax is 10%. When googled Sumter SC fast food tax it returns:"The minimum combined 2026 sales tax rate for Sumter, South Carolina is 8.0%. This is the total of state, county, and city sales tax rates. The South Carolina sales tax rate is currently 6.0%. The Sumter sales tax rate is 1.0%." That means they are charging 2% more than they should. I went to order at window and cashier took my order. I told them no onion on anything on my order. cashier got it right on receipt. This is not about her. I just want to say she did her job correctly. I get my burger and am driving I bite into it and chew, and feel something crunchy. I look in the burger its 2 big pieces of onion on the burger. I had to immediate pull over and give myself a epipen shot because i am allergic. I need people to do a better job and read the orders on the screen cause the cashier put it in correctly...the cook just didn't make it right. The service was horrible. at 10:50 I sat at the box looking up the breakfast menu on my phone because they told me they didn't serve lunch until 11 but the only thing on the menu was lunch. Maybe one minute passes and the girl at the box asked me "so are you gonna sit there until 11 or what??" and I said "I'm looking up the breakfast menu" she said "is there anybody behind you?" A few weekends I used the app to order ahead, which is the whole purpose of such a service. When I arrived 18 minutes later I walked in & had to wait in line. While in line I saw a ticket spit out & the manager grab it & read it off. When it was my turn I said that sounded like my order (from 20 min prior). She said they didn't have enough fried chicken to complete the order. The person at the register stepped around the corner & came right back, said they were dropping some right then. I said fine, I'd wait another 7-9 minutes & get it all fresh. After about 14 minutes I see some slacker with his pants sagging exposing his underpants walk up to the fryer with a tray of chicken that, chicken that I thought was about done cooking. It took another 25+ minutes to cook!!!! As I was approaching an hour since ordering, almost 45 minutes inside the store, I finally get my order with no apology, no nothing. I drive 15 minutes back home only to discover they forgot part of my order! And these people are demanding $15/hr & tips? While I wasted time I submitted an email to corporate, same info. Went thru the drive thru.. prompt service. Friendly cashier at the window. No receipt in the bag to tell me what her name was to receive proper credit for acknowledging her awesomeness! I have visited your Sumter location several times, lately I have become more and more disappointed! It has gotten to the place where if I do not see certain people working I will just leave! Let me start with the positive points you have wonderful employees that work there, five in particular which are Shirley who has been there all of my adult life, Day, Ray, Tina, and Cindy, these individuals need to be cloned so they can be there 24/7. They show prime examples of team work and leadership! I spoke with Ray when I noticed he was working in the afternoons and he said he got promoted so he was working as the mid manager this particular day! The same day Cindy and Tina were getting off and they notice that a man was upset about something they talked to him and Tina put her things down and got his order while Cindy kept apologizing for the mistakes! He thank them! It goes to show how some ppl while on the clock or not are willing to do their job. The worst part of that store is when those ppl are not there the service is awful their is no structure or good service being done! The employees are outside either walking around smoking or in their cars smoking and some of these ppl are in leadership positions!While others are sitting down in the lobby where I might add was a complete and utter mess! The crew that works up front have ear pieces in their ear I heard one said hold on while I take this order on the headset! How unprofessional is that? Whoever runs that store needs to work after 1pm because that location is horrible its gotten to the point that you are only getting good service if you only eat breakfast! She seem like we were bothering her and I felt like she had an attitude. Then she forgot to put the cookie in the bag. She got rude when my husband ask her the cookie and extra ketchup. With 25 years in the Quickserve industry I have never repeatedly gotten such poor service. With only one customer ahead of me it STILL takes 20-30 minutes to get even acknowledged. Someone is sitting comfortably on the location because if they were even 100 yard down the road... they wouldn't make it. there's a reason they can't keep a 2nd location open in this town.
