We went today ready for some good fast Mexican food. Showed up to the Sumter, SC Chipotle and the door said open at 10;45 but the doors were Locked at 11:05 with people inside and no one would come to the door. An employee was dropped off so we asked him when they would open. He ignored us and walked inside. Finally got a manager to the door he said they were opening late due to 'machines down' but could not give us a time when they would open. This was our second time stopping here from out of town only to be turned away! We won't be back. We'll go down the road to Moe's. read more

Always out of corn, rice, pico, meat, I've tried to eat there at least 6 times over the last 2 years and they're always out of something 4/5 hours before they close. Their staff is always rude, like you're an inconvenience to them, they barely look at you, mumble, sit in their own dining area with pants and undergarments they can't manage to keep in place enough to not have their bare behinds touching the seats. I already contacted corporate about it. 1 they opened 20 minutes late and then once we all got in there it took another 10 minutes for them to start serving us because the managers it a priority to get the mobile table set up first when there was 8 of us in line for inside orders?! Don't know why the fuck she did that. Then when I ordered I simply asked for my chicken on the side because I was sharing it with my 1 year old and their chicken is spicy . And she argued with me by saying she was going to charge me for a veggie bowl and then charge me for a side of chicken? Yet i ordered a chicken bowl and just requested it be on the side. So she was up charging me. I told her multiple times, no that's not what I'm ordering you are going to charge me more doing that and she told me 3 times she's not going to charge me extra that it's the same price and it was not. She charged me for the side and a veggie bowl..?!? Wtf? I then got a tortilla on the side and it was fully stale.. couldn't eat it. I also had my son with me and I'm pregnant and they took sooooo long trying to charge me my son was starting to cry and get upset cause he could tell she was a rude ass person. So then he had a panic attack all the way home. I WOULD NOT give them your money. Today I experienced the worst day here. Avoid this place at all costs!!! I was given the wrong order completely. To start it off I ordered a quesadilla and a burrito with a side of guac and only got a bowl, and to top it off it seemed like the bowl was half eaten. This picture was taken 2 minutes after my pregnant wife and I picked up our order so there is no way of us tampering with it. To sum it all up this store is poorly ran, do not bring your family here, I can not trust chipotle with my food ever again. read more

Today 7/24/2025 I went to chipotle, doors were locked at 1137 despite the hours of operation 10:45 to 11pm. There are people inside, but refused to open the door and explain they are closed. People waiting in the drive in line have been waiting for 30 min with no explanation. This is consistent with all of the other reviews. They all need to be taught some sort of customer service. Obviously Chipotle HQ doesn't care about this location as it consistently gets bad reviews. However considering the next chipotle is 40 minutes away there will be no changes made. read more

Absolutely terrible experience! Ordered online, got no sides at all and asked for sour cream. She said I couldn't get it and I asked why, just the day before she gave me a side of sour cream at the window. She said I just can't nodding her shoulders. THERE IS NO PLACE ONLINE TO ORDER IT OR ADD AS A SIDE OR ADD ON. I ordered a kids quesadilla no sides. She said only way I could get Sour cream Is if I go inside. I did. I can honestly say I know why this location has an overall rating of 1.7. Food was okay, nothing to complain about. This Chipotle location are always out of items either it's cheese, corn, sour cream and etc. BUT 9 times out of 10 they are out of VINAIGRETTE!! The past 3 times i went in the evening there was none so when there is no vinaigrette i don't even buy anything and i leave. I never seen a chipotle that is this poorly stocked. read more

This chipotle is easily the worst service you will get. Everyone who works there are the most miserable insufferable humans you will come across. All of them are rude and act like your existence is a bother to them. I dont know what it is but EVERY time I ask for a vinaigrette they act like I'm asking for a piece of their soul. One time I asked for some and the worker blatantly lied and said they didnt have any more, when I could literally look behind them and clearly see them stacked up with plenty to spare. I have been to many Chipotle locations; however, I live in the Sumter area and have eaten here fairly consistently over the past couple of years. Please hear what I am telling you; you have an issue at the store at 1286 Broad St. Sumter SC. I have seen this stores quality consistently degrade over the past year, ranging from stale chips, inconsistent and poor-quality food, and staff attitudes. Last night our online order was so bad, that I am writing you now. Hopefully that you understand how bad it was for me to spend my time this morning to relay that. To start with, my bowl was not correct by a long shot, ranging from not having the correct amount of meat and poor quality. My daughter's burrito had seriously fatty steak, a bad avocado, and what I believe to by old rice. Then there was the stale chips that had, and I am not exaggerating, a fistful of broken chips and straight salt. I could fill a whole salt shaker full with the excess salt at the bottom. If I come back to this store, I feel like I will have to be present to see the food being prepared, which might be a very long time before that happens. read more

Apparently the night shift workers don't have have sense of time because I came to the restaurant at 9:20pm and the doors were locked, while everyone on the inside just looked at me and what looked like the manager threw her hands up at me. This chipotle location closes at 11pm so there is no reason they should already have everything closed up an hour and 40 mins before closing. I feel bad for the owner of the franchise because they are losing money every-time they close early, I watched two other cars leave after realizing the doors were locked. If 11pm is too late then maybe they should work on changing store hours so that way consumers don't waste their time nor gas going there. read more

Walked in 5pm trash overflowing , tables dirty, only 3 people inside. Walked up to order there was an employee on his cell phone and after he ended his call I ordered a bowl Togo. The entire food area looked like a bomb exploded in it, nothing was wiped down. I mean I could wipe my ass with a leaf and it would be cleaner. Drive thru is mobile pickup only so line goes smoothly. Mobile pickup is about 20mins from mobile order payment. I got there and my food wasn't ready. The drive thru chick told me to park in space 2 and they would bring it out, 30 mins later I had to go back in line to get my food for her to tell me sorry, I didn't see your car (in the same space she told me which is right in front of their window). Our food was cold, half of our burrito bowls ingredients were incorrect, the tomato corn salsa was literally frozen. The chips were coated in so much salt they were in edible. Last time I went to chipotle my food tasted like it came straight out of the refrigerator, even the meat. The chips are always burnt, and they never have the Honey Vinaigrette sauce. I was told that the pick up line gets priority since they pay ahead. I have never heard of anything like that. I was also told that when they run out, they don't make more, but this store was still going to be open for another 3 hours. I would rather drive to Columbia for Chipotle than to eat at the Sumter store. read more

Hey Y'all so I ordered from the chipotle and I've never had any problems with it before when I went in person or ordered from DoorDash, but tonight it was different. I decided to order from Uber eats and I ordered a burrito bowl a large queso and a side of guac with apple juice. First I just wanna say that my large Queso was not included nor was my apple juice but I did pay for both of them. When I opened up my burrito bowl it tasted funny and different so I ended up giving it to a different family member. Me being hungry the last thing I had was my large chip and small side of guac. I start eating the guac and realize it taste a little different but I mix it up and hope for the best. I pick up the chip and put it in my mouth and feel a wet crunch. This is the first time I've ever experienced at chipotle but they did not finely cut up their onions in the picture you can see that there are large chunks of onions when it's normally finely sliced or cubed and diced. This is the first time this is ever happened to me at this chipotle or any chipotle so I'm hoping that this is just an off night. read more
