Surprisingly this place was pretty clean compared to the other fast food places we have stopped in. Wife and I stopped in on our way to to Fenwick to see my parents we ordered the ham and burger special for $5.99 and a 3 piece chicken strip. Everything was very good we would definitely return when in the area.

Every single person enjoyed their meal and I had some very picky people with me. The portions are always very large and presented very nicely on the plate. We had two chicken Cobb salads, which were excellent, probably the best salad I've had on Kent Island in a really long time; chicken quesadilla; cheesesteak; club sandwich; and a hamburger. There were many tables filled when we came in, which makes me happy. This is our new favorite place to come for lunch or even a low key dinner. I've had the clam strips and the shrimp salad wrap before and both were very good. I wish I had pictures to share, but I failed to take any. Next time I will get some photos and update my review. Our server was super friendly and provided very good service. Our food took a little while to come out but that was because my brother-in-law always has to order a well done burger and it was not an excessive wait. This is a good place to come and watch a game and chat with friends or family. It's not a fancy place, but it's your typical hometown bar but with much better food in my opinion. A few months ago I came for trivia on a Monday night and it was a fun time. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

This time, I asked (as usual) for no bacon and it looked like they scraped the bottom of the pan with completely dried out, tiny pieces of chicken and tiny burnt scraps of bacon, as if it was all that was left instead of saying they had to cook more chicken. This was horrible to say the least.

All the outdoor seating was full, and inside there was only one table available. Most of the tables are larger, so we noticed some groups sharing space, which actually worked out fine. The restaurant has a great open-air feel even indoors thanks to the large garage-style door that opens up an entire wall. For drinks, my wife ordered iced tea and I had a Peach Mule. The mule was good, but next time I'd skip the rim garnish. They also have a big beer selection, and the prices seemed very reasonable. For food, we ordered the brisket burger (single patty with cheese, topped with shaved brisket, jalapeño slaw, raw onion, pickles, and sauce). They offer a deal where you can add a side and drink for $5, so we added onion rings and also ordered the Serpent Fries as an appetizer. The fries came out first and looked great and they did not disappoint. Fresh cut with bacon, pico, scallions, and a serpent sauce (seemed like a beer cheese). Really flavorful, I did ask for ranch, which was an extra $0.50. I understand charging for extras, but not everyone uses ketchup or mustard, so that felt a little unnecessary. The burger came out shortly after, and it was excellent. We split it, and it was packed with flavor. Honestly, adding bacon would make it even better a "Triple B" (Bacon, Brisket, Burger) would be perfect. The only letdown was the onion rings. The onions inside were very thin and overcooked, leaving them dried out with little flavor. Even without the over-frying, the onions themselves just didn't have much taste. Definitely something they could improve. Overall, it's a great spot for burgers and fries, and we'll definitely be back for that. We saw other dishes come out that looked good too, so there's more to try next time.

BLUF: RAR beer and bar eats like burgers and tots with minimal parking…read more What I love about Chessie's Wharf is that it plays on the local lore of Chessie the Sea Monster. Also, the decor is great and the tap line is long. Aside from RAR beers there are a few rotating handles with beer from "guest" breweries. But no need to venture out to guest brews, RAR has great selections. If you're not a beer drinker they also have spirits and seltzers. I'm not sure about wine but I suspect they have a few options. Foood selections are comforting and simple - mostly burgers, wings, fries, tots and salads. For slightly more special options they have a brisket burger, crab dip and a few other tantalizing selections. I'll gladly work my way through the whole menu. I love that they brand Chessie into the buns. So cute! Chessie's has bar seating and lots of community tables so introverts be aware. When the weather is nice they have a great patio. To relive the memories of this great neighborhood bar, they sell merch and canned beer.

This particular morning, they were offering a breakfast burger special: smash patty with bacon, egg, cheese, onions, jalapeños, and cilantro lime sauce. Their regular menu sells two different burgers: The Classic Double (lettuce, tomato, burger sauce) and The Retro Double (pickles, onions, ketchup, mustard). I opted for the retro double. The burger was good. It had a nice crust on the outside. There was enough ketchup and mustard on the burger to taste, but not so much that it's dripping off the sides when you bite into it. The fries were good. I wish they offered a bigger cup of them since they're almost $4. Burgers are $9.79, fries are $3.95, and drinks are $2.00. They also have merchandise like t-shirts, hats, and hoodies for sale. The employee that took my order was really friendly. I hope they make a return to the Crofton Farmer's market! I would definitely get burgers from them again.

The dining room was busy; no host/hostess was present, however. Decided to try the adjacent bar and perhaps get dinner there. Sat at a table, but after no attention for 15 minutes, moved to the long, white, main bar and plopped down in front of a bartender. Got service immediately. Started with cream of crab soup--subtle, flavorful. Then turned to a rockfish dish as well as a crabcake offering, with sides of coleslaw and veggies. All of it was very good, light tasting, executed with modern flair. The plating was appealing too. Nice vibe in the bar, almost hushed, as folks can enjoy a tranquil view of the Chesapeake Bay. A replica of the "Three Soldiers" statue, from the National Vietnam Memorial site in DC, is found outside, on the expansive grounds of this multifaceted establishment. It's well done and memorable.

Ladies come with your most relaxing dress or casual outfit. Single ladies, tons of single men at the below deck, if you want alone time get a table inside or on the patio on the upstairs deck. Views are gorgeous! That sunset and view is stunning! Let's get into it! Cocktails - This is a more refined restaurant so no slushie drinks here! They do have a great cocktail menu, I opted for Prosecco which they had! Not everyone does! Had to point that out! Calamari - Portion size is a bit on the smaller side for the price but it was good! Fresh! And the sweet chili sauce was delicious. Crab Dip - You know I had to try this! I personally needed more flavor so I added old bay which did the trick. Lots of fresh lump crab! Crème of Crab - Delicious! No complaints! Side salad - Delicious! No complaints! I ordered a crab cake sandwich too but had the waitress box it up to go because 2 apps, a soup and a salad were plenty. Definitely order one app, if you're going to get an entree.

Just west of the Kent Narrows bridge, we came across Dock House, off US-50, with lots of parking and some free docking to the right (east) of a large enclosed boat-storage building. Dock House a bright restaurant with a light modern nautical theme. There's window seating for around 100 with a lovely view the narrows, also visible from the 25-seat bar. There's further indoor seating for another 80, and seasonal outdoor seating with water views for at least a hundred more! The bar area is self-seating, and it was pretty quiet on a Sunday early-afternoon (Jan 2026). Their friendly efficient staff took our drink orders immediately from their creative cocktail menu. We had a $12 Pomegranate Manhattan from their Classics: Louisville Old Forrester bourbon and bitters, gently sweet from tinted pomegranate juice and lightly flavored with a mild rosemary simple syrup. This was a delight! Our designated driver liked the quiet sophistication of the $8 spirit-free Cranberry Rosemary Spritz from their Mocktail list. They offer a wide range of seafood and American fare, with mains and sandwiches from $15-$40, plus soups, salads, and a kids menu. We had a bright fresh $15 Harvest Salad, a generous patch of light tender baby kale, bright cubes of soft roasted butternut squash and fresh walnuts, sprinkled with creamy goat cheese crumbles and sweet pomegranate seeds. We got their tangy maple vinaigrette on the side. A tasty fresh refreshing salad. And we went for their $19 "new" Fried Flounder Sandwich, crispy lightly-fried sweet tender flounder on white bread which they toasted for us. It had fresh lettuce and plenty of tomato slices, and a light layer of tartar sauce. A delicious crunchy handful, which we got with a generous side of piping hot lightly crispy fries. We loved the quiet cool of the place and the delicious food, the amazing water view, the attentive staff, and the chance to catch the afternoon football games on two TVs over the enclosed bar. A perfectly pleasant Sunday afternoon. It's easier than it sounds below to get to Dock House at exit 41 off US-50, just west of Kent Narrows, just off the public boat ramp under the bridge. There's plenty of parking east of that huge boat-storage building for several shops. Dock House is in a separate building at the north end of that parking. Or you can dock your boat there for free. TLDR, well, maybe read once: If you are westbound, Exit 41 just after of the Kent Narrows bridge puts you on Piney Narrows Rd, and you keep straight until you are nearly under US-50, then turn left to the boat ramp. If you are eastbound, from Exit 41 take a left on MD18 Main St and take the next left under US50 onto Piney Narrows Rd, just west of the Kent Narrows bridge, then an immediate right to the public boat ramp. Either way, in the ramp's parking lot you turn left, away from US-50, and keep to the right around the huge boat-storage building. Really, the first time you do it, you'll find that the only trick is to see that turn off Piney Narrows Rd towards the boat ramp.

The biggest issue, though, was the order being wrong. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and even called ahead to confirm it, including requesting extra dressing. I was told everything was correct. For the price, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Not sure I'd return after this experience.
