The brisket and turkey were my favorites. There are 4 BBQ sauces on the table so I sampled all, the Texas BBQ sauce was my personal favorite but all 4 are uniquely amazing. I'm not naive--I understand that restaurants may give priority to certain guests. But saying that openly in front of the customers you are bumping from a table is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. After waiting somewhere between 30-45 minutes and continuing to see others seated ahead of us, my wife finally asked the manager how much longer it would be. The manager said she didn't see us on the list and then asked for our "confirmation code," essentially making us feel as though we were lying about having checked in. The host, who had taken my wife's phone number when we arrived, made no effort to acknowledge that he had apparently made a mistake. No apology. No attempt to make the situation right. I asked the manager if we had basically been bumped while the VIP group was seated. Her response was that it wasn't "her" VIP group--it was the owner's VIP group. That response only made the situation worse. We have spent a significant amount of money at this restaurant over time, but apparently that doesn't mean much compared with being part of the owner's VIP group. Mistakes happen. If the host forgot to put us on the list, a simple acknowledgment and apology could have gone a long way. Instead, the manager handled the situation in a way that made us feel dismissed and disrespected. After all, their official slogan is "It's Bo Time" Although the Bojangles southern chicken franchise began serving food in 1977 in North Carolina, this Bojangles is located on Hardy Road in Vinton, Virginia and opened in 2012. One of the first things I noticed when I arrived at this restaurant in Vinton was the simple but fun architectural design of their building and the use of the color yellow on the awnings of the building and on their outside parking lot sign with their logo. Yellow is the most attractive of all colors, and so each time one drives by the restaurant, your eyes can't help it but to gravitate to the restaurant and read the red fonts with their name Bojangles. Also interesting to mention is that the name of Vinton is found written on the logo itself, detail that brings out that the company emphasizes giving back to the communities they serve. Once inside, the interior design was in the minimalist style with a huge open-space dining room with many large windows to bring in the light and the few walls were covered with placks giving recognition to local sports teams with their Team group picture on them. Another sign of the company's commitment to the communities for which they serve. Then what also caught my attention was the short wall labyrinth to help large number of customers line up in front of the ordering counter to wait for their turn to order. As soon as I reached the ordering counter, one of their friendly employees, wearing their red t-shirt uniform, warmly greeted me, answering all my questions about the menu, and taking my order. I ordered the #10, Bojangles' Chicken Sandwich Combo. With the Season Fries and a drink. And two Blueberry Cookies for dessert. I paid with my credit card and was given my receipt. I didn't have to wait much for my order to be served at the pick-up counter. The first thing I noticed was the bun so soft and fresh, a little thing but a sign of a good restaurant. The chicken inside was so plumpy and crunchy with just the right seasoning. The fries had just the right cut to help bring out their flavor. And the cookies tasted homemade and delicious. Even the drink from the machine was very refreshing. I ended having a refill. As I was eating I noticed other customers coming in and dining feeling like at home, many cars being served at the drive-thru, the employees showing teamwork and providing exceptional customer service, and even taking the time to dine themselves before the rush time arrived. I was so impressed with the food and service that I received, dining at a Bojangles for the first time, that I did my research and found out that Bojangles considers its people to be their number one asset. Burger King President Tom Curtis is using a direct-feedback approach by sharing his phone number with customers, leading to new in-store changes, such as the "Your Way Champion" role, the "Whopper Guarantee," and a focus on *order accuracy." Tom Curtis shared his personal phone number (305) 874-0520 for customers to call or text with direct feedback and complaints. The New Way Champion is a new visible manager-level role dedicated to greeting guests, checking order accuracy, and fixing problems on the spot. And the Whopper Guarantee, which is a promise to provide a free Whopper on a future visit if the current one is not made correctly or to expectation. Burger King used to be my favorite fast food restaurant when I was a kid because they delivered and earned my trust. But through the years many of the restaurants have been skimping on the amount of ingredients they put inside the Whopper, the freshness of their products such as their burger buns or freshly made fries, and in their lack of exceptional customer service. Today's breakfast was comfortably ordered through my Burger King app from home and I received 2x Crowns for being my Birthday month. I ordered the Breakfast Duo Combo of a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Biscuit and a Medium Vanilla Iced Coffee. I also added an order of Medium Hash Browns. All items to be delivered at my home address very efficiently by the DoorDasher Bryan and I received text messages keeping me informed of the progress of the delivery. The ordered items arrived well packaged in a bag which was placed inside a BK shopping bag with my beverage being held by a drink carrier also inside. The shopping bag was completely sealed on top. The Iced Coffee and straw arrived in perfect condition and tasted very good. The biscuit breakfast sandwich also came very well prepared and warm. But the hash browns were not hot and crispy like the last time I ordered them. They were cold and not fresh. Also, no utensils nor napkins were included with my order. So I called the President of Burger King and left him a voice mail of the incident with the address of the Burger King. Then I noticed that the app had a section to Submit Feedback. I clicked the Submit Feedback button and a text from the Burger King Digital Assistant came up guiding me to my order and what my problem was. The hash browns were not fresh nor hot and crispy. Then the BK Digital Assistant came up with a digital resolution which I accepted. It was a $5 digital discount coupon which would be downloaded to my app to use next time I ordered. If I hadn't accepted, I would have had the option of talking with a live customer service representative as well. At the end of the ordeal, I felt satisfied and though it was somewhat inconvenient, it gained my trust with this company and renewed the loyalty that I had as a kid, because I knew that at Burger King the customer rules once again, and is King.

He made it right by frying me another egg over easy and I didn't mind because of his positive attitude and very unique personality. He also asked me how I'd like my coffee and prepared it just as requested with two creams and three sugars. Every one of the three eggs were perfectly fried over easy and I sprinkled a salt and pepper mixture over them. The bread of the toast was so fresh and tasty braised in butter. It included pepperoni, seasoned pork, beef, mushrooms, green bell peppers and onions. It was set at Hand-Tossed Pizza Crust, with Classic Marinara Sauce, and Regular amount of cheese. And had it hand delivered. While I waited I noticed that they had other options of crust such as the Original Pan Pizza, the Original Stuff Crust, their Thin 'N Crispy, and their Tavern Pizza. They also had their Personal Pan Pizza. When the pizza arrived, it was delivered in a modern design box that was sealed with a sticky label up front. It arrived hot and had a lot of ingredients but lacked cheese and sauce, and I found the crust to be on the sweet side. Once at one of their now extinct Taco Bell / Pizza Hunt restaurants I had a Pepperoni Personal Pan Pizza (the only one in the menu) and I seemed to like it better than this one because the crust was not so sweet and it had more cheese and sauce and this made the spicy taste of the pepperoni stand out better.
