country fried steak and egg biscuit platter
    Kevin D.

3 and a half stars but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt up to four for the great service 2 meals. this is a 24/7 365 run Hardee's franchise by loves. I first came in at the breakfast time towards the end and had a country fried steak biscuit with gravy someone for the pork chop and gravy biscuit in the bottle orange juice it was fantastic very good.. then I went to sleep woke up decided I wanted to eat some more didn't want to leave just yet cuz I didn't have time didn't want to wait to eat so I decide to come and have an early dinner came back in and I had an early dinner. once again I was greeted promptly and I thought about having a Frisco burger it's been awhile it's basically hamburger utilizing sourdough bread.. I see they still have the big roast beef around but I'm not a big fan of the taste of it for some reason and they also have happy hour every day between 2 and 5 p.m. dollar 25 sliders double cheese..they taste pretty good I've had him a couple of times you're not too bad but I didn't want a burger today I want to something sort of healthy. so I got one of my old favorites at Hardee's d charbroiled BBQ chicken sandwich..what is a grilled chicken breast with BBQ sauce and lettuce I has to add a little tomato and I did the combo with the curly fries and the Coke Zero was very good..this Arby's has come full circle over the last seven to eight months I will say I do come in here a little more often and I'm finding that they've had a staff change and it's improving quite a bit even though it's all employed and on by love they're doing a really good job on this one and I've noticed it. so keep up the good work hard part around the St Louis area like any place really is decent employees that'll stay and show up on time.

Our server Hailey was very bubbly and welcoming from the start. She made sure we took our time to figure out what we all wanted. Took my dad out for early father's day lunch. We all got sweet tea. Husband went with the all you can eat chicken option. Which they do that on Wednesdays and Sundays. You can mix/match dark or white meat. You get all the sides. Dumplings, mashed potatoes, greenbeans, corn, coleslaw, and apple sauce. He was full and definitely enjoyed the chicken. My dad did the chicken meal 2 dinner with 2 sides. I have food left over for later. I was so full. Food came out in timely manner. And for what we paid in total with 3 people wasnt too shabby. Theor parking lot is off to the side and wraps around l. They do have aome street side parking. Or some park across the way in a lot. Good ol days Is a staple in new baden. When you're burnt out on going to chains like cracker barrel. Staff immediately seat you with a menu with the usuals for Illinois farm country AND there's always a few fish items of the menu (fish fry every Friday in German Catholic communities!). I stopped I. For lunch and had an amazing Reuben on toasted rye with house chips for $8.95! Perfect size, the meat wasn't fatty, and a surfeit of chips! My companion had their pulled pork on brioche; the sauce was was the right mix of tangy and sweet, and the pork was tender and juicy! (Lots of places have dry pork dressed up with a ton of sauce.) Enough space for a small to medium office lunch with quick and attentive staff, great prices, and a slow small town vibe--this place is worth the back country drive.

And, the manager didn't seem interested in customer feedback disappearing during this proceds. The most unfortunate thing is they didn't comp the meal but only wanted to send a steak home to- go after all their mistakes and everone else had finshed their meals. I guarantee that will be the last time we visit Mascoutah Steak House. It's sad since it's one of the restaurants I look forward to when visiting the area. But, never again. Customers should leave feedback before the restaurant fails. So sad.

Neither was present when a group of six of us dined here yesterday. Let's be clear: Mascoutah Steak House is a "steakhouse" that only serves one actual cut of steak (a ribeye--and no, Salisbury steak is not a steak). We already had low expectations. The food itself was mediocre at best. The ribeyes ordered by our group came out looking grey with absolutely zero sear. I ordered the Cali salad; it looked fine, but it had a bizarre, sour flavor that was completely unidentifiable. While the food was disappointing, it isn't why I'm writing this review. The real issue was the glass of red wine I ordered. As I finished the glass, I discovered a huge fly sitting at the very bottom. I understand things happen, and I wasn't even going to make a scene. When our server took the glass back to the bar, I watched her. She looked into the glass with visible disgust. We made eye contact, and I mouthed to her, "Yeah, I drank out of that." Instead of apologizing, addressing the situation, or simply removing the drink from the tab, she avoided our table entirely. When the bill arrived, the wine was still fully charged. When I went to the bar to calmly explain the situation to another employee, I was met with total indifference. I was essentially told it wasn't their problem, though they generously offered a insulting 10% discount on the glass. This isn't about a $6 glass of wine. It's about basic human decency and food safety. I shouldn't have to argue to get a bug-infused drink taken off my bill. If you value decent food, basic hygiene, and staff that actually cares about their customers, skip this place.
