The only thing I eat here is biscuits and gravy. I don't think I could eat one of their fat burgers. The biscuits and gravy is great.

They handed me the bag at the window... then asked for it back, threw something in it, and handed it back to me. Really weird... I get home and wasn't surprised to see they completely butchered my order. It's like they played scrabble to throw whatever they had into the bag. I went there for the chicken enchilada and what wasn't in the bag? The chicken enchilada. In an attempt to drown my sadness I went for the grilled cheese burrito and I instantly knew something was wrong. I've eaten this before and no problem. I was having an ALLERGIC REACTION BECAUSE SOMEONE USED THE JALAPEÑO CHIPOTLE SAUCE ON IT. It's supposed to come with REGULAR Chipotle sauce. I know immediately when jalapeños are snuck into my food, dip, sauce, etc. By this point I'm livid because now I can't eat any of my food and everything is swelling up and getting puffy. I bit through my tongue because I couldn't feel it. I talked to Wyatt and he promised he'd leave coupons for me to just say my name, and they'd remake my order. He was super apologetic and said sometimes new people mess up. I went back today, Tuesday 3/5/24, a week later, and the young girl with brown hair and fake nails was just rude and had an attitude. The chicken enchilada tasted absolutely rancid. Seriously? The smell was terrible too. So I'm not surprised at the food poisoning results. I'm so done. Save yourself time, money, brain cells, and frustration by going anywhere else. I get that this is fast food and "what do you expect?" ....not to be served rancid chicken or something causing an allergic reaction.

I include beverage as it is extra cost compared to what's on the menu, which is a bit confusing. It was lunch time on a Thursday so luckily there was minimal traffic in the drive thru. There were 4-5 employees inside. I get my blizzards pretty quickly then wait for the chicken finger meal. I asked for gravy as my "sauce" included in my meal, but I like ranch for my fries - don't judge! I forgot to ask for it until he handed me my food. He said you only get 1 sauce per meal and for ranch it'd be $0.50 extra. Pretty crazy! I figured with 6 pieces of chicken AND fries (also comes with buttered toast), it'd be decently sized. Uh. Nope. A small container, smaller than my lip balm. Picture included for size comparison. My mind is boggled with the ordeal. It is already $10.29 excluding taxes for the meal. My blizzards were pretty melted by the time I got to my destination, which was ~5 minutes away. I ordered the snickerdoodle cookie dough blizzard and cookie jar blizzard. Pretty tasty from what I sampled.

Walked in and clearly this is a local hotspot for regulars. We were there on a Sunday(around 10:30am). Gentleman in front of us had the paper and was acknowledged by one of the waitresses to sit at the 2nd blue booth and she would be right with him. Gotta hometown feel. We were seated by an older gentleman (didn't realized he worked there. Looked like a customer). He mumbled "follow me". No "hi" "good morning" Strange but ok. Waiter was also not very talkative. Some might dislike this service or not. I don't really mind. I'm there for food, not chit chat. Coffee, diet pepsi and water. Coffee was real good. International Delight creamer cups already on the table for convenience. Water more than likely was filtered and not straight city water(at least it tasted good to me). I got biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs (over easy). Impressive serving. 2 biscuits cut in half, smothered in sausage peppered gravy. Biscuits we good. Nothing fancy to say about those. Gravy was creamy and plenty of sausage throughout. Perhaps too peppery for my liking but I was able to finish the plate. (Did I mention we were hangry?). Eggs were ok(we are use to farm fresh). Over easy like I ordered. Boyfriend requested House Skillet with choice of toast for side. Imagine a garden, then toss some hash browns in, meats and slap on 2 eggs! All the things in this skillet. Mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cheese-all topped with 2 over easy eggs! Hefty portion! He was happy with it. Not "bangin" but great taste. For the quick decision of stopping here, we were happy. Service was speedy. Just not service with a smile. Perhaps Sundays are their busiest days. Oh forgot to mention! Cheap! Large portions- ain't leavin hungry for a penny pincher!

They changed the entrance from days of old but the interior is still cool. Service was top notch, not too creepy but there when needed. The food is ITALIAN! It is good- seriously good. The Ghost in the Machine: A Study in Youth and Enigmas at Rastrelli's…read moreIn the heart of Clinton, Iowa, Rastrelli's stands as a sprawling monument to local tradition, a place where the weight of history is palpable in every dining room. However, a recent visit suggests that while the walls remain steeped in heritage, the current operation is being steered by a remarkably green crew. The waitstaff and floor team are almost exclusively young, possessing an earnest but unpolished energy that seems to operate in a vacuum. Management was entirely invisible, a phantom presence that left the youthful staff to navigate the complexities of a large-scale dinner service without a seasoned captain at the helm. This lack of professional oversight leads to a breakdown in the basic choreography of service. The tables here are notably small, a logistical challenge that became apparent when steaming plates of hot pasta arrived while our salad trays still occupied the limited real estate. It is a fundamental error in pacing that a present manager would have corrected with a single glance. Furthermore, for a house that prides itself on its Italian roots, the absence of vinegar to accompany the olive oil for the bread was a curious and disappointing omission. The staffing model remains equally baffling. Our waitress seemed to be burdened with nearly every occupied table in the room. We were fortunate that the evening was not particularly busy; had the dining room been at capacity, the system surely would have buckled under the weight of such an uneven distribution of labor. The most surreal chapter of the evening, however, was the appearance of the "orange dish"--a neon-hued confection studded with marshmallows. When we sought clarification, the staff--notably, not the chef--explained that this enigmatic staple is prepared en masse every morning. It is a dish that feels like a spirited, mid-century potluck survivor, an orange enigma that remains the most bizarre part of the Rastrelli's experience. "Tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire." -- Gustav Mahler Rastrelli's remains a cornerstone of the Clinton landscape, but the current fire seems to be flickering under the weight of an absent management and a disjointed service rhythm. While the youthful staff is to be commended for their effort, the establishment would benefit greatly from a steadying hand to guide the basics.
