I don't like to use kiosks or self checkout, so I waited in line at the cash register. The space in front of the cash register, where the kiosks were located was quite small and crowded. The line trying to get to the cash registers was crowding out the people trying to get to the kiosks. It was a terrible layout. I would not recommend going to this location.

I haven't gone here recently, but my sister complains of recent experiences. Furthermore, I was disappointed when I applied for a maintenance job and was asked to come in for an interview, but the manager asked 'not to' interview me after I waited 15 minutes for them. I was asked to wait for a phone call and then come back sometime soon. Never got a phone call. I know these things can happen, but I've never experienced this with any other.

I first had Bojangles in the Fredericksburg area and thought it was excellent. I went to ones in Prince George's County, MD as well as Union Station DC, areas closest to where I lived. All the MD & DC closed in late 2023. I remember liking the New Carrollton, MD location often when I had work travel pre-Covid. I went one time in early 2023 on work travel over there, and I was underwhelmed with that location. Although the food was great, they were as slow as molasses and was kind of dirty in there; not the experiences I had in the past. Although they had their issues, I was disappointed when I saw they had closed. So, when in Rome, I wanted to make to Bojangles on SML trip. Fast food is limited in the area. It's Bojangles & Wendy's, which is weak, and I live within 5 miles of a Wendy's, so I wanted to get something I can't get at home. I was very impressed with how friendly, fast, & tasty the food was on both visits here. I also was very impressed how clean it was in this location unlike the former MD locations. They also had American flags up for week of 4th of July, which was nice. This location was better than any of the MD locations I went to, DC, Fredericksburg, & one in North Carolina. Both times I got the chicken tender platter, which is tenders, fries (well seasoned), & biscuit; all delicious with Bo Sauce along with sweet tea, a nice Southern delicacy freshly brewed here. Next time at SML, I'll try to make it back to Bojangles.

As with any chain, my rating is based on expectations for the chain, it's not a comparison to all sandwiches I've ever eaten. Me giving this Subway a 5, is not saying it's the greatest sandwich ever, but it was the best Subway experience ever. Truth. I have not had a sandwich at Subway in more than a decade. I either make my own sandwiches, go to a local place, or have the grocery store make them. In this particular case, my wife and I were hungry, we didn't want anything heavy, and also were not sure when we would find our next meal option. Also, there is definitely not much to speak of in Chatham, and upon looking at reviews in the tiny town, this Subway was the safest bet. Just gonna say, I've been sleeping on your Subway, and the guys you have working at this location made it a great experience. For one, I didn't know there were so many sub options these days, or that you are slicing meat on site now. I got a california club, and the avocado was fresh, no browning at all. Bread and meat fillings tasted great, and the guys crisped up my bacon in the toaster even though I didnt ask. Made everything better. There was no ranch on it- I couldn't even taste a hint of ranch. I later asked an employee about it. She stated that she thought that it was supposed to have come with a ranch packet to add to it and asked of it did. Neither sandwich came with one. She then asked if it was good anyway, to which I replied yes, I was just confused on the taste without ranch since it was called a ranch club. She started that thought the bread was made of buttermilk ranch type but said that she had never tried the sandwich. I also got the Sprite Hibiscus Strawberry drink. No flavored refills available if you ordered that (which I think is the norm for most places) but I could come back and get a drink refill. Not a bad experience, but chick-fil-a is fairly expensive in my opinion and almost always regarded as a treat.
