Wawa is so much more than a simple gas station. Yes, it features a multitude of gas pumps offering competitive prices and I applaud them for offering air for your tires from an air pump that does not require a payment. Should be common sense, but most gas stations have decided that they can generate a few more dollars by charging people to put air in their tires. Wawa goes above and beyond in customer service by letting people get air without a surcharge. But for me and I would hazard a guess that endears Wawa to most of us is the food that they offer, mostly their subs (what they call hoagies due to their original locations). These subs, er, hoagies are freshly made 24/7 and many, myself included, have ended an evening festivities at a Wawa grabbing an end of the night snack in the form of one of their subs, hoagies, or whatever you want to call them. They have both hot and cold sub/hoagie things, as well as other foods like breakfast sandwiches, bagels, bowls, etc. I also have always liked their pretzels, available at the cash registers. Oh, speaking of their food, keep an eye out for Hoagiefest, where they offer any sub st a discounted price. Truly a good deal. So, yes, I recommend Wawa. I would almost climb a mountain to scream its praises for the four winds to carry to the far planets of this world (perhaps even going so far as to reach my home state of New Jersey). I didn't mind waiting since I only saw 1 manager doing the drive thru and front counter, 1 worker also doing both and 1 other person doing the kitchen. I gave them grace and I had patience. I saw people that ordered after me getting their orders first and leaving. I received my drinks 1st and by the time I got my food the soda was already watered down. By the time I got my 2nd order, I was already waiting 30 minutes and my fries got cold. I asked the worker nicely if she was able to replace them since I was waiting for so long. The worker gave me attitude and stated that she can't change them because she's "busy" she left me unattended at the front and started talking about me on the headset to the other coworkers. I saw the manager and I told her that the worker was very rude and didn't want to replace my fries. I spent over $60 worth of food for it to be cold while waiting. She then fills up a box of fries and slides them forcefully towards me on the counter. She didn't handed it to me. I just found it very tasteless when I was VERY patient and kind towards them and I knew they were short handed. When I entered this place I saw a family ordered, sat down ate all their food, by the time I got my order this family was already leaving the restaurant. They get me my order within minutes and there is 1 or 2 teaspoons of beans on each burrito and more onions and cheese than beans. I bring it back in and open it up and the lady behind the counter says, "That is a bean burrito". I will NEVER go there again. Thankful there is a Chipotle opening up soon right across the street. There should be a standard for how much beans/meat/chicken is put on their burritos. If Taco Bell management or owners dont care, let them go out of business.
