Then after talking to the staff we were even more impressed. They didn't know if I was going to buy something or not and answered all my questions and I learned so much from them. They didn't make us feel like we were wasting their time. Ended up spending a lot on a turntable and they set it all up and made sure it was perfect before I left the store. You don't get service like this any more. If you buy something online you are stuck with whats in the box and do your own amateur setup. They have all the equipment and gauges to do it properly. We will definitely be going back. We felt like we were chatting with long lost friends. Its a bit of a drive for us but love this store.

Camping? Paint balling? Preparing for the apocalypse? Well Forest City Surplus has you covered…read more This place has it ALL. We visited FCS to get some supplies for camping. We walked around for quite a while because there is just so much to look at and tons of great prices. There was a ton of variety too. Lots of different types of rain ponchos and protective gear, tarps, camp supplies, and even toys and clothing. Whether you need pvc pipe, magnetic sheets, bungie cords, a piano, body wash, honestly, Forest City has it. We purchased a hat from Circus CIrcus (the Las Vegas casino) because it went with our camp theme. They used to give them out back in the day when you signed up for their loyalty cards. Talk about a sweet find! I stayed away from purchasing a sleeping bag as I was unable to see what it was like on the inside. They have a sign saying not to open them up. If you have a free Saturday afternoon I would suggest heading down Dundas to check it out. It is attached to the Gibraltar Weekend Market so there are lots of great deals there as well. I already have plans to come back soon to pick up a few things that I forgot about. Either way, I know I will get some of the same products found at big box stores for a fraction of the price. So take some time and check them out! It may just save you a small fortune!

This is really a first for me. I'm giving a 5 star review for a place I've never stepped foot in…read more Just before the holidays I noticed I was running low on vacuum bags and I thought since I'm in no rush for replacements I'll find some online. After a little bit of shopping I found McHardy's Vacuum had great prices on bags I wanted and shipping was cheap. Much better than heading to the store during the holiday season. Placed my order, didn't think much of it until today when the package arrived, and the reason why I'm writing this review. First of, it was quick, from across the the country over the holiday season it showed up on my door step in under a week. Second, along with my purchase they threw in a reusable shopping card and a hand written thank you card for my business and offering up any support for my future vacuum needs. I order stuff online all the time and it was this little appreciation of my business that really took me by surprise. You can tell these people value their customers and for that reason alone they could be my only supplier for all of my future vacuum related purchases. Well done guys!

Called Dyson first but they were of NO HELP AT ALL (other than to tell that they no longer could carried parts for that model. McCardy Vacuums to the rescue. Spoke with very friendly and helpful fellow named Andrew. He knew what I needed and had it in stock. Explained it was "aftermarket" which came as no surprise to me since Dyson has completely absolved itself of any ĺcustomer responsibility on a vacuum that cost over $600 when purchased a few years ago! No more Dysons for us and would highly recommend McCardy Vacuums. Received the parts today (only 2 days after ordering) and they fit perfectly. Thank you Andrew. Dyson could certainly learn a thing or two about how to treat customers from you. NOTE: (Edit) I am not "Jack B" from San Francisco. I am Jack B but I live in Barrie, Ontario, Canada!!!
