An excellent wee cafe right beside the harbour in Dunure. Great to warm up and refresh yourself in after a walk over to Dunure Castle and the labyrinth (well worth the effort for the views).
The staff are very friendly and chatty and really make you feel welcome. They have a reasonable number of tables for the size of space, or if the weather's nice you can get a take-away, find a seat alongside the harbour and chill out with the sea views.
The home-made soup and sandwich deal is very good value and just the job to warm up cold hands on a wintry day.
They have a rather dangerous selection of home-made cakes at the counter, including a 'jaffa' chocolate number that is bright orange! I managed to resist the temptation however, and settled for an Americano coffee, which was just the job.
Great that they were open on a chilly January day too - a welcome find indeed. read more
