We were taken into the lounge and given tea and biscuits the second we were through the door. Bedroom was well decorated (as was the whole house) and everything in the Trefoil is spotlessly clean. Bathroom was well equpped and there were great toiletries and huge soft fluffy towels. Very large choice for breakfast and it was well cooked and presented. We will be back!!!

The single room I had was bigger than I expected and in extent, better and nicer equipped. At the third day, I thought about writing this review and began looking for mistakes or room for improvement - and when my USB-internet paid its debt to nature and I asked for internet cafés, they set up a router and WiFi. A word about the building: It is just beautiful and in a great location in a small street that ends with the gates to a very nice park. I visited Paignton to take english lessons in a school that turned out to be round the corner. I prolongued my stay for another week because I found the lessons very helpful - and I had the perfect accommodation to very reasonable week rates. Whenever I go back to Paignton or make a tour through Devon, I will definetely stay at The Clydesdale's again.

They obviously adore this house which is not only a bed and breakfast but also their home. The house is constantly undergoing redecoration by Sharon and Tim but this does nothing to detract from its appeal. The house has a relaxed informal atmosphere. A continental breakfast is served to your room each morning consisting of warm croissants and jam and very fine muesli and muffins. The house is on,y a stroll away from the main streets of Dartmouth and is superbly positioned for anyone visiting the town for the annual Royal Regatta. If you are looking for a few days to get away from it all I can highly recommend The Victorian House. Fabulous beds and a good night's sleep.
