We came on a Saturday with my FIL from out of town. We waited about 30min to be sat. The view we had was amazing. We had the Gator bites for an appetizer that even my 8 picky year old loved!!! My daughter had chicken tenders and fries which she really liked. My son has cheese pizza and looked really good and cheesy. My FIL had the steak and salmon with potato he ate it all so I imagine no complaints. My husband had the shrimp trio each shrimp was plump and flavorful. I had the blackened grouper sandwich. Excellent location next to the lake with great views of the water. Large restaurant with lots of seating upstairs, downstairs and outside dining as well. A large bar area as well. I tried the top sirloin, twice baked potato with salad and it was good. Service was friendly as well. I recommend trying this place out! read more

The food was way overpriced found pieces of plastic in my lobster macaroni. The chicken Alfredo the noodles were way overcooked all around the food was no good spent $150. I wish I wouldn't have will never go back there again. The waitresses were really nice and friendly wasn't their fault. Definitely would not recommend it to anybody. I have a large family who kids are very picky when it comes to food, but, I can vouch that everytime we have visited here my kids have enjoyed every bite on thier plate so far. I will be honest tho because honesty is the best policy they are more on the expensive side of things but as long as you plan your visit accordingly you won't leave disappointed when it comes to fullness and flavors. 1st time at Harborside and wow! This place is really nice. This restaurant is on the water and many tables are right at the windows overlooking the lake. I will say that this was listed as $$, but it's really much closer to $$$. We ordered Ahi Tuna off of the starter menu as one meal ($13.99)and added a side of broccoli ($3.99), Sea Skins (1/2 order), also off of the starter menu, which came with two potato skins with shrimp, scallops, cheese, bacon and sour cream ($8.49) and the Harborside Fish Sandwich ($14.99) with a side of sweet potato waffle fries ($2.00 upcharge). They also brought out a basket of cut pieces of fresh baguette with a Parmesan on them with a side of butter. We thought this would be better with olive oil and pepper to dip it in and requested it. Very very tasty. The Harborside fish sandwich is huge. In fact, it is large enough that it could fit on two sandwiches.it's a fried white fish with a light and crisp batter. It is served with a couple of slices of good quality bacon,lettuce, tomato and a tarter sauce on the side. I'm not much of a fish sandwich guy but this is a quality fish. I think that I might prefer this served on a garlic Texas Toast instead of the bun ( although the bun is a nice brioche) or without the bun altogether. The sweet potato waffle fries are THE ABSOLUTE BEST I've ever had. They are perfectly crisp on the outside, soft inside and they are not served with cinnamon and sugar which I cannot stand. The Ahi Tuna we ordered the large size and really good. The side of broccoli was nicely seasoned but too salty. The Sea Skins (1/2 order) was very tasty also. The service is friendly and as attentive as we would want it to be. The dining room is nice and comfortable and they have a sizable bar if that's what you are looking for. This is a higher priced restaurant than we usually choose as our bill was $56.10 for the three of us with 2 appetizers, one main course and three iced teas. My cousin & I were in the mood for seafood & our favorite place in Winter Haven was close for New Year's Day. When we arrive there was a long wait. If you walk up to the bar area and find an empty seat you can eat there. We went downstairs and sat at the bar and had wonderful view of the the chain of lake. I had the penne vodka pasta and my cousin had a Cesar Salad with salmon. The one thing I don't like is their salad. It's chalk full of olive. It's not like the Olive are whole, they chop them up in small pieces & it gives the salad a weird tastes. Our server was nice & the place was clean but will I go back again, nah. Had a nice experience having a mother-daughter dinner tonight. She felt like having fish and seafood and our other options were closed, so we decided to try Harborside for the 1st time. We had to wait a half hour to get a table for 2. When we were seated, we ordered cocktails that tasted delicious and a starter of calamari, also very good. I wish i knew the waitresses name. She was great and answered all our menu questions and even described in detail how a plate was prepared and cooked. I would love to give her credit, but my receipt just says main... anyhow, for our main courses, my daughter got the stuffed flounder and I the fettucini alfredo with house salads. The portion of the house salads is huge, and it comes out with amazing tasting bread. The ambiance is calming with dim lighting over looking the lake. We came here for Valentine's dinner and unfortunately we did not have a good experience. Our reservation was for 5:30 and our dinner still had not come by 7:30. They had lost our order and 2 managers came at different times to tell us our food would be out shortly. Tables around ate dinner, seated new people and then they received their dinner. They kept telling us 5 more minutes. The sad part is they did not offer us any appetizers or drinks to hold us over. There was no compensation for a ruined Valentine's dinner. My husband and I had dinner for the first time this past weekend at Harborside. We had always heard such good things that we decided to give it a try. I have to say "what a treat!" The food was awesome, oysters fresh, and timing to table was perfect. We got there early for lunch, and they had just seated 2 groups of 12, and didn't seem overwhelmed at all. There are boat rides available around the small lake, and the views at all tables was great. Well the food is ok.. not outstanding .. the service here is terrible. My family has tried this restaurant three times .. with several months in between. Kept trying because we thought it might have been an off night and the first visit they were very busy. Last night was seated and waited and waited. Finally went to the bar and ordered three waters and a server .. after tables seated after us were waited on. Turned out the server was mad because he had to wait on our table...and the service reflected it. Done. Will never go here again. They. Have a real service problem. This was the worst fish received in Florida. I sent back the first one because it was undercooked. The second one as just poor tasting. The grouper sandwich was good but the flavor was taken on by the bread, tomato, tarter, and more. The baked potato comes with a processed cheese on top. Honestly it's bar food. Go for a bar experience. Don't order an entree and you'll be okay. I won't be back as I will elsewhere. I will say the service was great. This was my first time at this establishment and we swung in here after striking out in making reservations at other places to celebrate a birthday. We came as a party of 15, so you can imagine how hard it is to reserve a space for 15 especially on the same day. I'll admit, it was poor planning on our part. Upon walking in, this is a great place for a casual or formal date night. There was a mix of both attire that I noticed from people who were already dining and those who were waiting. My boyfriend and I ordered the fried gator bites and these were absolutely delicious. We kept saying it was like calamari's better tasting relative. The breading was delicious and the sauce it came with complimented the bites very well. We also ordered the filet and salmon combo to share as there were a ton of other appetizers to consume at our table. We ordered our filet medium and found it to be too much on the rare side and asked for it to be cooked a bit longer. They immediately accommodated and were so kind which we were greatly appreciative of. Some other things we tried included the potato skins which had scallops, shrimp, and other seafood. It was good! There was also some salad but it leaned a little too far on the garlic side for my taste. Overall, the service was amazing. The food was great! The only downfall I would like to state is beware of the mosquitos if you are waiting outside.
