I love this place - great prices & people. I use mostly CBD products like Mary's & Papa Barkley- Harborside has a great selection for me to choose from. Plus I really like their edibles selection- I prefer micro dosing so 2, 3, & 5 mg THC is right up my alley. I wish they had more employees so that you could have more than 10 people in the store. Also I placed an order for pickup. I was going to do delivery and pay with Stronghold but the price was over $100 more than what it should have been. So I opted to drive to the store which is out of my way but for $100+ it's worth my time and gas. So I took a star off for that. read more

I recently bought a annual subscription for 50% off for a year that is what was advertised and what I was told by the service rep helping me, so I purchased with that in mind that I would receive 50% off on week-ends for an entire year, well I was deceived, lied too and Harborside is not honoring the discount for 50% on weekends, last time I was there 3 weeks ago the manager honored then told me it would be 40% going forward. Who in the hell advertising a annual percentage of 50% on weekends to get you to buy a subscription then change the price after 6 weeks. This is deceptive advertising will be looking into this further. BEWARE of Harborside subscriptions 3months- 12 months ALL lies. Signed customer for years moved came back and they were my go too, but not any longer. Banned & given no reason. The place over charges for everything. Then they tax on top. Come in with a discount (from Weedmaps) and they won't honor it. Then they won't help / hook you up with any discount after. Argue with you. Then when you walk out and don't buy, Then they ban you and the next time you come in just reject you at the door by a guard with a gun. Forget this place 100% corporate. They give people who buy weed for other people free gifts like rolling trays. For spending big. Had a guy in the parking lot GIVE me a tray and say he didn't even smoke. We exchanged numbers and it really dawned on me then, the workers don't give a shit about you unless you're spending 100s of dollars (which is easy to do) and I have. This place is so fantastic that I'd love to have a reason to hate it, but I don't. So why four stars? Well, the overload of product. It was overwhelming walking through there, so much so that my husband fell asleep in the car while he was waiting for me. But I found what I wanted, then there were all of the varieties. It reminded me of the first time that I went to Berkeley bowl and came away overwhelmed (who knew there were 14 types of kale, and which one is best for the dish I'm making?). No one! The other issue is the prices. I spent a good $20 over what I usually spend, but they had what I wanted. So the complaint? Well, the line was hard to figure out/navigate. It looked like some people were open and others spent hours wiping down cash registers. I didn't know that what I thought would be a short 5-10 minute wait, was more like 20-25 min. I've always loved shopping at Harborside in person, so this time I decided to try delivery. Yesterday, I got a call saying the delivery person was out, so they wouldn't deliver that day. Then last night I got a call from a very helpful young man who asked me to email my id again, which I did. He called me back, and said everything was good to go for today. Today, delivery scheduled between 6-9 pm, I called at 8:45 when I hadn't heard anything, They told me "sorry, we were shorthanded again today, so your delivery was cancelled". Update: I received an unsolicited phone call from the boss at Harborside. They recognized me as a long time customer and thanked me for my business in the past. They asked for my feedback regarding the facility and employees and were concerned that a was not visiting as frequently as I have in the past. I explained that I had found a prefered vendor of flowers and was only buying concentrates from them now. What I failed to mention was this: Harborside has a wonderful selection of flowers but fails when it comes to identifying and focusing on premium top shelf flowers for the OG's. I heard they have products that can help my insomnia and the salespeople there were very informative about their cannabis products. I am going to try some gummy bear edibles to see if they work. This place is like the Apple store for cannabis stuff but with super extra security. Next day, I slept well but one dose was a little much as I woke up slightly high and I'm not trying to get high. 5 milligrams THC or half the edible worked well for my insomnia and hopefully this works well going forward. Date: 1/21/2019 Time: 5:00 PM 55° Partly cloudy After going to Magnolia Wellness (West Oakland) and Oaksterdam (Downtown/Uptown Oakland) for some cannabis body balm and none was available at either dispensary, my husband and I stopped in at Harborside to see if they have the product that we needed. Before we enter the premises, there are plenty of security personnel to check and scan driver's license or valid identification (ID) card. I have to admit Harborside's ambiance is quite nice and classy. Floral arrangements and plants can bring out a certain glow in the room. The inventory of products is well organized and they seem to have plenty available compared to the two previous dispensaries. Customer service is decent. The drawback is the long line of customers waiting to be served. The employees are busy, busy, busy. After about a 10 minute wait, we get to the counter to ask an employee if the business carry cannabis body balm. Yes, they have it. Since it is my first time at Harborside, I receive a 25% discount. Total cost, including taxes, is $35.48. Good deal! The employee also enters my cell phone number into their system for future visits. One can either pay with a Visa debit card or cash. They do have an ATM machine available. However, I do not know how much they charge for the service fee, as I paid cash for the body balm. read more

Harborside has long been one of my very favorite clubs in the Bay Area. This location as well as the Hayward location were my go-to dispensaries. I love that they have a huge variety of products and brands, they always have sales going daily (and good sales. I hate to pay full price!!!), and they are convenient for me. They were like the gold standard of cannabis clubs in my mind for a very long time, and I had fond memories of going there when I first got my rec so many years ago and being in awe (and in love!). But, unfortunately, I have to say that I've recently been continually disappointed by my experiences there. Today, I ordered a delivery order of almost $100. I live less than 2 miles from Harborside. They processed my prepayment on JanePay and were supposed to come between 1-4. Around 2 pm I decided to check the delivery status only to discover my order had been "cancelled" by Harborside. They made zero attempt to reach out to me to explain. I ordered at 10am ish and I waited 3 hours before discovering for myself they weren't ever coming. They had already processed my payment. I was so frustrated, I don't have a license right now and I rather pay the Harborside employees than an Uber driver for bringing it directly to my house. I called the generic 800 number provided on the website to find out what happened, and no one answered. Ever. It just keeps ringing and ringing, which has been my experience in the past as well. My only option was to fill out a "contact us" form that I'm sure no one will ever read. When I needed service now (I still have not received a response, just as I expected). The time before this, I went in person. I ordered ahead online because it's just easier and highly encouraged! I knew the total should be roughly $27, but when the cashier charged me $37, I felt stupid and assumed I wasn't remembering right. Nope. She didn't give me the discount I had already received online. When I went back in immediately after checking my phone for the online order receipt, they couldn't even give me the cash right back. They gave me store credit. While I do very much appreciate the effort of the employee who did that for me (thank you!) I do think it's ridiculous not to offer to refund my measley $10 back in cash. I regularly experience sitting outside waiting for a drive up & go order wondering if they've forgotten about me. I've had to actually go inside to find out before, and sure enough, they basically had. So frustrating when there are so many other clubs I could go to, and I feel I could do a much better job handling their customers than they ever do, unfortunately. Customer service is king (that's what I was taught), but it's almost nonexistent at Harborside today. Sorry, but it's all true. It does break my heart a bit to write this, because I truly hold Harborside dear. But there are many other dispensaries within a 2 mile radius of me that I can frequent without all these issues. read more

After extensive research, this is the only place in the East Bay that sells CBN/CDN tinctures for stress. I've visited other dispensaries around the Bay Area and they either don't sell it or it's laced with THC. I have never smoked pot in my life and I don't plan to start (I heard it can cause panic attacks. No thanks!!) The good thing about CBN is that it's non-addictive. It's also used for anxiety, PTSD, and insomnia. The only bad thing about buying CBN is that it's quite expensive ($100 -$150) and not a lot places sell it. I've asked some budtenders about it and most have no clue what I'm talking about. I'm giving this place four stars because they have excellent customer service. They burly security guards who stand outside are pretty friendly too. After trying a few drops of CBN/CBD a few times, I've realized that it's not as effective compared to other stress herbs like Ashwagandha and the stuff my doctor prescribes me. It may help you, but it doesn't do anything for me. Plus, I stopped taking it cuz it gave me shortness of breath (I am VERY sensitive to meds). I hope their products help you more than it helped me. Harborside is one of the best cannabis clubs in the bay area. They carry a large selection of products, great discounts for seniors and veterans and offer delivery service and curbside pick up. The reason for 4 stars is because they don't allow the "associates" that deliver products to your car to accept tips! Associate, Tom, who assisted me with patience, speed and professionalism this week was offered a tip and he said they couldn't accept tips, but proceeded to explain a charity I could donate to instead... Don't get me wrong - im always for donating to charities, but many of these associates are young hard-working people who DESERVE gratuities...Harborside, allow this to happen, because it's the fair thing to do!! read more

Sadly, the quality of their weed seems to have gone down. I used to buy their half ounce bags of Harborside brand weed at $90 which is a great deal. I went there today, and all the strains of Harborside weed were brownish looking. Not bright green like usual. So weird. I would not recommend this spot. It's very expensive and the overall experience was pretty underwhelming. Pros: The space is beautifully merchandised and the "shop the aisles" approach is neat. The staff in that area were lovely to work with and very helpful. Reasonably good selection. Cons: Incredibly expensive - of the 6 items I bought 2 were nearly 2x the price from other vendors and the others 20-30%. Checkout staffer at front desk was incredibly rude, didn't respond to "hello, how's it going" or "thank you, have a good night" except to glare at me. My order was $228 pre tax and on the way out the door I noticed a sign that said "20% off on $250" - good client service would be saying "hey, buy another thing and you can get a discount". I was running late to meet a friend and didn't want to get into it with mister rude guy to try to see if I could get the deal, so I just left irritated. Security guard at the exit pretty proud of himself. If I'm going to go in person it should be a nice experience. There are too many excellent delivery services to bother otherwise. read more

I LOVE Harborside, the everyone that works there is awesome, but I especially love when Ellen helps me with my medicine choices, she's like the Paul Stamets of marijuana.
