Great spot, huge store -- and very popular. Was a line when I arrived but everything was orderly. Busy neighborhood, but you can park in the parking a garage nearby. Convenient location, but they accept orders and send a confirmation for items that aren't available when you get to the store. Also, they act weird about giving your change. I don't care if I'm buying weed, I want my change just like any other purchase. If I want to give a tip, I'll do so, but don't just think you can keep a customer's change. If you went to a grocery store and your total was 19.50 and you paid with a twenty, you'd want your 50 cents, right? Not sire why they treat this transaction any differently. read more

The service here is consistently terrible. The budtenders are always distracting each other while with a customer. I've witnessed them eating edibles and rolling while on the register several times. There is never any main person at the door checking id's which doesn't make it feel safe. The staff are consistently seen out front smoking, which demonstrates to me how unprofessional the staff are allowed to be ‍ I like the selection and prices but the trade off will be a staff who misgenders and dismisses you before your transaction is completed. read more

I have been an Oakanna customer since they opened. They opened in my old neighborhood. It pains me to write this review. While prices are good, customer service has deteriorated so much I can no longer support this business. On this evening I waited my place in line and was called to the counter by a young woman. I placed my order with her. She seemed confused and told me her co-worker would help me. Fair enough, I thought. Maybe she was new. I placed my order with a young cashier who has waited on me on numerous occasions in the past. I say young, because I'm no spring chicken and am old enough to be his grandmother. The woman who had initially called me to the counter had since began helping the woman who was in line behind me. She was struggling to fulfill the order of the woman who had been behind me. She asked help of the young man helping me, who had nearly completed ringing me out. Before my transaction was complete, he turned his attention to the woman who had been in line behind me. I kindly asked him to complete my transaction before helping the woman who was behind me in line. He continued to help this woman ignoring my request. I found this disrespectful. I am fed up with bad service and cheeky, young cashiers. I asked to end the transaction and give me my money back. Hell, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a weed store in Oakland, right? The cheeky, young cashier turned his attention back to me and said, and I quote, "did that transaction go through?" He looked at the card reader. It had. He then said "good, because if it hadn't, I wouldn't have sold it two you." I really didn't know what to say to that except "please refund my money." The cheeky, young cashier told me he couldn't . He disappeared to the "back" and returned with someone who I can only assume was a manager. I told the manager what happened. He acknowledged I was calm and respectful, never raising my voice. He said he would talk to the cheeky, young cashier, who had since retreated to the other end of the counter. I watched but could not hear. The assumed manager returned to apologize for the employee. I asked if that was it. I expected the employee to apologize, but apparently there was to be no consequences for his disrespectful treatment toward me for merely wanting him to finish ringing me up. Assumed manager asked me to wait for a moment. I did. He went to the "back" and returned to the counter with a joint. He expected to buy me off with a joint. In all the time they have been open and I HAD been their loyal customer, I'VE NEVER PURCHASED FLOWER. So, if you want a dispensary that cares more about their cheeky, disrespectful employees over the satisfaction of loyal customers, then go to Oakanna. For me, I'll be back at Harborside. There is plenty of parking, they have a bigger selection with amazing discounts, but most of all, they are always kind and appreciate my business. In fact, if you have a defective product, you will not get a hassle at Harborside. If you had asked me before today if I had any complaints about Oakanna, I would have said I had a very difficult time returning a defective product, but that the matter was eventually resolved to my satisfaction. I've heard people commenting on a "No exchange\Return Policy". Here's what the law say and if they didn't post this info in an obvious place then they are NOT abiding by the law and need to make things right with the patron. "Let's take a look at California. Their Civil Code section 1723 states that sellers are not required by law to accept returned items unless they are defective. But, the law also requires that retailers who will not provide a cash refund, credit or exchange must inform their customers about the policy with a conspicuous notice in language easy to understand. This policy may apply to some or even all products, but either way, the notice has to be clear and unequivocal. In California, if the seller does not make this information easily available to the consumer, the purchaser can return the item for a full refund within 30 days of purchase." When I went I had ordered off Weedmaps and they didn't have either of the products I had ordered. Two of the people I dealt with were cool but, the third (young asian dude with facial hair) was a total snot. I left thinking I really don't want to go back...partly because of Snotty Dude and them not having my products. I had to ride my bike 10 miles to get it. ***OWNER - Stop trying to defend\refute the complaints. You look like a fake. You claim BS so often there's no way to even think you AREN'T spewing BS. They have a hell of a selection to choose from and always has good deals and prices for you. This is probably my go to spot next to Element 7. Second disrespectful and rude staff. Or rather one staff person working by himself this morning at 7am. So not the entire staff but it's only takes one experience with a grumpy apple to ruin the overall experience and feel like you're at the DMV instead of a dispensary that cares about their customers mental and financial well being. Prices are great just make sure you get everything correct and know the prices and the items you are buying because once they accept your payment there are no adjustments. They have an all sales final no refund policy even if you are still standing at the register and haven't been handed a receipt yet. Also, they have a 10 dollar round-up on debit transactions. It's used to be 5 at all the other dispensaries I've been to. Not sure when that changed but watch out for that because there are no signs nor will the clerks that will inform of the breakdown. My clerk clicked through the screens to fast and I ask to ask.for the breakdown to realize there was 10 dollar round up to figure out cost, tax and money back on my own. I was told that they assume you already know if you've been there before. I paid cash my first 4 times. Thanks for the friendly service. Yeah.Not.so much. The other clerks I dealt with previously were friendly and more helpful. In any event they gets stars for good prices and early opening. Extremely unprofessional when accusing someone of stealing but management is okay with it. I had gone in to buy a cart and was told by the cashier that I had to pay for what I had stolen before buying anything, that they had proof of me stealing. I ask to see it and I'm shown a printed screenshot of someone who did look like me because their face was turned away from the camera. I plead and tell them I understand it looks like me but I can easily prove it's not. The whole time the cashier is shaking his head and rolling his eyes as he tries harassing me into admitting I did it and paying for it. I asked to pull up the tape of when this incident occurred and to just get me the date and time. As it's being pulled up he wants to "push past this real quick and finish up that order". ??? What makes you think I would hand over my money after the way you just accused and treated me??? I stepped off to the side to wait for the evidence before the manager steps in and apologized for the misunderstanding after looking over the tape, clearing up that it wasn't me. And while thankful, I also asked for an apology from the cashier for his misconduct. The manager refused, not only condoning the behavior but telling me that I should be satisfied with the apology I was given and to stop complaining cause I wasn't getting an apology from the cashier. He seemed frustrated that I wasn't satisfied after that and told me that because of my attitude, I lost a discount he was gonna give me. And when I told him I didn't care for a discount, I cared about an apology and accountability from his staff, he seemed upset that I didn't care for his business. Who would? read more

Spacious with lots of selection. Aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Guy who helped us at register was friendly. For an extra $1 to our purchase, we got an extra jar of weed. Great deal! Tax is hella high, but their prices are still decent for the area. Signage for products is minimal and could be more present, especially since they didn't have anyone walking the floor to explain products or offer assistance. Would definitely make labels, signage for specific products, and categories more shopper friendly. We'll be back though. read more

Ordered 6 packs of gummies online, 4 Indica and 2 Sativa. Received a text confirmation that my order was ready. But when I arrived at the store I was told the Indica gummies I had ordered were not in stock. The salesman said he had a similar Indica gummy, so I agreed to purchase the substitute instead. When I got home I googled the substitute gummy and discovered it was actually Sativa. I went back to the store the next day and their response was basically "tough shit". So their sketchy scam is to offer products on their website that are not in stock, confirm your order is ready for pickup and when you show up at their store sell you something completely different.
