We ordered a baked potato on the side to share, which comes with garlic butter. They also brought plain bread slices on the side. The pork ribs were both tender and flavorful. My husband liked the classic dry rub better than the smoked. The salad was crispy thanks to celery slices. The garlic butter on the baked potato was creamy, strong, and addictive.. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. When we left, we asked the mamager where the sister bar was located exactly and he directed us across the street to Cafe GDG.the adventure continues! I had the mixed grill - a plate of lamb, beef, chicken and ground beef plus grilled vegetables. all taste and well cooked. The restaurant is upstairs and you have a nice view of the Leidseplein square down below and I like the interior. Everything is cooked with the big green egg (hence the name) and it was really tasty. They also serve the Brouwerij 't IJ IPA beer which I became a fan of. Service was very friendly, and reasonably fast (I was not in a hurry). So the prices are on the high side (we spend about 40 € per person for food and a couple of drinks) which puts me off a little, but if your in town and look for a good meal then by all means: go here.

Half or whole chicken with your choice of a side. Also, it's pretty cheap €14,50 for the half and € 28 for the whole. And for Amsterdam, that's cheap, especially when paying for freshness. The chickens are cooking (where we were sitting) in front of you and it was so juicy and lightly crispy and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. I know it sounds weird but for my side I got apple sauce and don't regret it. When I come back to Amsterdam, I will definitely be coming back here.

The brisket was good, but not as good as I hoped it would be. The meaty part was not as tender as I hoped. I needed my knife to cut it up. The fatty parts were tender sand overall it was pretty good. Apparently the kitchen doesn't open till 6, but they were able to serve me at 5 and I was thankful for that. The meal seemed a little on the pricey side at $29.50 (23.50 euro), but maybe that is the going rate. I'm just visiting so I don't really know prices here. From the service, drinks, and the food our experience was wonderful. The Long Islands were strong and packed a punch. We started with a bowl of creamy tomato and smoked paprika soup. It was excellent. Good flavor and consistency. From there we had the seafood trio. Wonderful presentation of cod, gamba (prawns), and salmon. The flavorful burre noisette sauce was excellent.
