I was having trouble mounting a TV on the wall. The included screws in the bracket box did not…read morework out at all. So I headed for a *real* hardware store, NOT a big box home improvement store. Why? Because you get one on one help even when its with the littlest of things such as the needing the right screws. This is important to me especially when I'm in a hurry. Chevy Chase came through for me. There is plenty of off street parking in the back plus a back door for customers. The inside of the store seems huge but its hard to tell since the aisles are narrow and it looks like its two buildings put together inside. The rows of aisles is endless it seems. I got there just before closing and did not have time to browse the whole store. Staff was super friendly and extra helpful. I highly recommend this store for your home maintenance needs.

They had the machine we needed, and it worked like a charm. We have visited this store several times for other items such as wide mouth jar lids for canning, kerosene, and headlamp flashlights. This store is always kept neat and well-stocked. The employees are helpful and willing to help you find what you need.

They have advised me on soil and fertilizer for my lawn which has received compliments from my neighbors. On Monday after tuning up my Toro lawnmower for the spring they delivered it to me because it fails to fit into the trunk of my car. The farm where we hunt is in Powell Co. and we needed salt…read moreblocks but had forgotten to get them so we looked up stores near Clay City on Yelp and this Ace popped up. We went in for salt blocks but managed to spend an hour just browsing the aisles. They sell a little bit of everything in Ace, which is why I love them so much. Whether you need a Big Green Egg, a Yeti, or canning jars, you can find it at Ace. They had 5 or 6 varieties of apples for sale that you could buy by the pound. I had never seen that in an Ace but they smelled great and so we had to buy some. There is a black cat named Baby that wanders around the store that also adds charm to a small-town hardware plus misc. store. We found it asleep on the deer corn on our visit.
