I've been going to Harbor freight for years. I'm so glad they opened a location in Shelby co. This store is small and they may not always have everything you need. The products are not professional grade; however, if you have a task and need inexpensive tools this is the place! I am not a skilled craftsmen! Comparable tools at big box stores are significantly more expensive! I don't always need the cost of professional grade equipment for a one of job. I've purchased a reciprocating sander, a saws all, a pressure washer, tarps, bungee chords, and various other items for a fraction of the cost of the local Home Depot or Lowes. Certain items like my drill / weed eater are name brand from big box stores but everything I've purchased from here is far better than expected. My sawsall was $20.00. I've used innumerable hours through the years and it functions as well as my fiends high end tool. The difference is I paid roughly 10 percent of what he paid. If you get on their mailing list you get coupons off the already low prices and coupons for free products with any purchase. Today I needed a tarp. It was 6 bucks. I received 20 percent off and received 3 free gifts. A digital multimeter, a mini flash light and a 24 pack of AA batteries. The tarp alone at the big box is roughly double the cost with no coupons and absolutely no freebies. I would highly recommend stopping in if you have a job that requires a specific tool you may or may not use again. My wife and I wanted to refinish some old furniture I didn't want to spend a ton of money on tools for the job so I purchased a reciprocating sander from here for maybe 15.00. It worked well! So well In fact that we took on additional refinishing projects in our home and for her classroom. I've used the $50.00 pressure washer for hours!!! Friends have borrowed it and been astounded at the quality for the price. These again are not professional grade tools but they work just fine for me! read more

I have used this location for several years. The staff stay pretty busy at this store, but they have always been courteous and have went out of there way at times to help me find what I am looking for. Good customer service is hard to find especially when people are busy, Theese guys are getting it done. read more

My complaint is really with Harbor Freight online. I went to the Pelham location to purchase some lights they advertised. They were out, but an associate there recommended I order them online at their website. I ordered them online, same price as advertised plus shipping. 5 days later I get an email stating the item is now on backorder and will be shipped when it is back in stock. 5 days later! What kind of worthless inventory system do you have that you don't know till 5 days after an order that you are out??? The local store is great but don't waste your time with their website, go to another store or use Amazon where they keep up with waaaaaay more inventory correctly and at least make things right if there is a mistake. read more
