They've got paint, they've got lumber, they've got carpet and laminate and wood and vinyl. They've got fans, they've got doorknobs, they've got light switch covers, they've got sinks. They've got friendly helpful workers, they've got clean big bathrooms, they've got concrete floors covered in legit worker dust and they've got five hour energies. All the prices are fair or dirt cheap, depending on what's on sale. You can literally find anything you need here for your home. Unless you want some frou frou fancy rug. Then you can just head down to the local big box and buy that "contemporary area rug" that no one else/everyone has.

My driveway was damaged from the weight of the forklift, reached out to the store and reported the damage to multiple managers, now they refuse to take responsibility for their negligence. Now I have to pay out of pocket to replace a new driveway. I highly advise all residents that are having materials delivered to their homes, to be present, and insist that the driver needs permission from you to operate heavy machinery on your property, or sign a waiver disclosing that you are not holding them responsible for any damages. I certainly was never given this option. Not a satisfied customer!

I was not familiar with the layout of this store as I usually shop at another closer location. It was near closing time, and employees were busy bringing in items from outside. This Lowes had the particular AC I was looking for. Finding it was challenging, but I did. It was also challenging to find a flat cart with which to move it, so I wound up "touring" most of the store. Thankfully, I tend to enjoy walking through Lowes. When I checked out, only self check was available. The clerk attending the self check offered get someone to help me load the AC. I declined since it was only 55 lbs. The parking lot was not very well lit, but the store was clean and pleasant. Where they could improve is having people available to help direct customer to the aisle that has what they need. That could have saved me a good 15 minutes of wandering around.

They did come to check it, said they would have to order it. When they came, all the panel lights would stay lit. When he opened it to fix it, he broke a wire, I saw it broken. Closed it quickly and left, saying he needed another part. Then my stepson got an email, saying we had an infestation, not covered. we have no roaches or ants that could get in there. Also, when he left, i plugged in back in and no lights came on. Will never shop at Lowes again. Wish i could rate then minus stars, but have to give it one. Not that they deserve it.

I…read morealmost come to expect bad or non-existing customer service in the Valley so the employees at this location really surprised me. Long story short: I was doing a multitude of repairs/remodeling in my house in Texas and came to this Home Depot over the Christmas break at least 5 times in the week and a half that I was in McAllen. There was a young lady in particular that worked in the flooring department that answered every dumb question I had and was patient with showing me color suggestions for tiles and tile materials. I hate that I forgot her name (maybe early 20s, short, short hair) but she was so nice and helpful during a process that, for me, is stressful and not enjoyable. Other employees were also very helpful. I also had to buy kitchen countertops while I was in Tucson for pickup at this Home Depot location, and Ruben at the Pro-Desk was so helpful at suggesting material that was in their inventory (because the countertops I originally wanted were non-existent at this location). Better yet, he followed up with me when he had promised to. I am doing research and planning for my wedding in McAllen, and people in the Valley do not follow up when they say they will (wtf?) yet the folks at this home depot keep it uber professional.
