Terrible customer service in Lemon Grove, CA right from the manager who just seemed like he wanted to go home. The website said what I needed was in stock but the manager just said no. I never went to the area of the store where the item was supposed to be because the manager behaved like he just wanted me to leave. In the future I will try a different Harbor Freight just because of the poor customer service. read more

Awesome deals on tools and various items. Quality isn't always the best but you can't beat the prices. read more

I love this place, and could spend hours and hundreds in this store. Where else can you buy a tig welder, a industrial water pump, a bird feeder, and a remote control plane? One trip into this wonderland and you will feel this way too. Now the tools are not the best quality but super cheap, and you would be suprized how long they do . I highly recommend taking a trip you will find somthing you are looking for. read more

Harbor Freight Tools - Hardware Stores Near Me - Lemon Grove, California

I wanted to stop by Harbor & Freight to just- check out what they have. Have I ever been inside this location or others in the county- no. But, I've shopped at Home Depot & Dixieline plenty of time to know what's what. Very well lit inside & adequate parking spaces wrap the building. Nice clean bathroom, might I add. I was on the hunt initially for a head lamp- now that we've entered the fall back time change- I will be working outside in the dark til we hit spring forward next year (and believe me- I've already mentally started the countdown. I hate fall back time change. Grrr.) So, I'm literally walking around each aisle looking for these headlamps- but, still casually checking out what merchandise is on sale here. Once I find what I'm looking for (which wasn't too long of a search since this is a fairly sized store, in my opinion)- I noticed there's 2 options of the product. So, I picked the one that's $2.99. But, I look closely- and it's a simple brand that seemed generic to me. Then, I figure, well- if I'm buying a headlamp- I might as well buy some AA batteries. I look at the shelf below- and it's generic brand. Ok- I get it. No wonder why these are low priced. But, of course I buy these products anyways. No harm, no foul. read more

Harbor Freight Tools - Found it! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Lemon Grove, California

Possibly the worst customer service I've ever recieved. I've been shopping at Harbor Freight for years now, after this I'm probably not going to patronize any of their locations. Angie is incredibly rude. read more

Really stupid and inexperienced supervisor. Horrible service, just got to a different place.

STAY AWAY! I thought I had found a nice alternative to HomeDepot, but I was wrong. My first and only purchase there was a small air compressor on Aug 12th, 2023, but it was not powerful enough so I could not use it. I returned it on the 18th. The cashier was friendly enough and asked if I wanted to exchange it. I said not today, I need to purchase a larger one along with some other tools another day. Besides, I said the line to check out was too long and I was in a hurry so I would be back. She said that was fine, and started the refund process. The cashier then had to call the manager for a code to complete the refund. The manager (some young lady ) ran over, and rudely said to me.. "Since you are not exchanging, I am charging you a restock fee", and then she abruptly ran off. Even the cashier was stunned by her action. I said to the cashier, you are charging me a restock fee? She said, we don't if you exchange it, but if it is a return then we do. I was only told when I purchased the compressor that I had 90 days to return it. Nothing about a restock fee. The compressor was still new in the box, why a restock fee?? I was in a hurry so I said fine, but that is totally wrong! $10.00 restock fee on a $53.00 compressor? HomeDepot does not treat their customers like that, nor does Lowes. EASY Returns! Harbor Freight needs to treat their customers with better respect and be more like their competitors. And until they do and understand what they are doing is completely wrong and not good customer service, I will not be going back there. Just Terrible! read more

Beware, they don't have cameras outside they broke my window and stole my iPhone. I was in the store for just 5 minutes. The Lemon Grove sheriff don't do anything about it. If you go here just leave someone in the car because there is a lot ghetto peoples there read more

So I've never bought something before at a box store and been charged a "restocking fee". Nice how it's on the receipt and says "some items MAY BE," subject to a fee. So my question is what determines, what "may be" is? I brought back a pump that was never used and still with all the original packaging and was charged $3 = 20%. WTF??? This isn't eBay or Amazon. You didn't pack and ship this item. I walked into your store and purchased it and walked back in and returned it. I get it. So people use items and return them. I worked at Home Depot, I know the drill but a brand new item. Restocking fee? I could've walked the 50ft from the register to the shelf I got it from. Best part was cashier couldn't explain to me why I was being charged the fee. If items "may be subject" and you the cashier seem to be the person determining what is and/or is not subject to that fee: shouldn't you be able to explain what, in your determination, made my return "subject" to your fee? Sad part is they have some decent items in store but you can bet I will go out of my way to avoid that place. I've seen Home Depot return way higher ticketed items, that were obviously used, without subjecting their customers to a service charge. Harbor Freight, it's been a long time since I've stepped foot in your store and I likely won't bother returning anytime soon. It doesn't appear I will go out of my way to find one again. Especially when Lowes and Home Depot and even a Dixieline are probably closer. read more

Not sure what is going on with this Harbor Freight store. Most of the items are out of stock. Came in to buy brass washers the other day, after speaking to a store clerk, none are available and no known date when they will be. Came in today to buy funnels, was told they were on isle five and then isle seven. Bit appears they are out of stock as well. If you are looking to buy something at this Harbor Freight store, call to ensure the item is available. read more

By far the slowest and laziest harbor freight I have ever been to. Employee sent me and my kids on a wild goose chase to find out the item is out of stock. I went into this store yesterday about 4:20 pm and I had the worst experience ever. The heavy set Hispanic young girl. First didn't acknowledge me. I wait in line for about 3 min then another Hispanic man walked up and was took care of with no problem. I pointed out the fact I had been standing in line for about 3 min before that guy walked up. I asked " is there even a line because I've been standing in what I thought was the line." She said " oh I didn't see you but let me take care of him first." WTF???? I dropped my stuff and just left. If I could give a -5 star review I would. I've been looking to buy a power washer. All year long harbor freight advertise a power washer for $76. Got a 25% off coupon on any item coupon via email. Thought that was a great idea of theirs to do something special for their customer. Went down to buy it assuming it would now only cost $55. But to my surprise they raise the price of the power washer by 25%. It was a total scam and a play on words to make it look like you're getting a great deal when there was no deal at all I will never go back to Harbor freight and I will tell everyone I know about my experience and encourage them to go to Home Depot or Lowe's. What a piece of shit business practice. read more

Worst customer service ever! I went in to try and purchase some Car Dollies, walked around and found where they should be @ but they weren't there. I walked around looking for a employee so i could ask them to see if they had any more in the back. I didn't find anyone. Didn't want to go to cash registers bc i didn't want to hold up the lines. But I had to, the cash register girl was nice and helpful. Turned out they had 10 in the back. Perfect, so they were suppose to bring them out to the front. The cash register girl suggested I'd keep shopping, took her advice and walked around even though all i had to get were the Car dollies. 10 minutes passed by and went back to the front and asked if they had brought them up. The cash register told me it was taking them longer to get to them since they were helping other customers because he was getting stopped on the way to back. Which made no sense to me since I asked first, didn't make a big deal out of it. I waited another 10 minutes and nothing still, I had waited too long already. So I ended up being there for 20 mins for nothing. Left empty handed. If you do go shop here and the item your looking for isn't in the shelves. Good luck to you! read more

Today I went to Harbor Freight in Lemon Grove. There was a huge line outside it was about 85 degrees. My mother is 83 years old and we waited outside for about 20 minutes before entering. My 83 year old mother asked if she could go in the guy who was at the door told her she would have to wait. She told him she was handicapped he said they don't accommodate the handicapped. Mom asked to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. I found out his name is Jerry. So if you are handicapped and its super hot outside don't expect to get any privileges even if your 83 at least not at this business. read more

First time to this location in Lemon Grove. What can I say its just fun walking through all the rows and looking at the cool stuff they got. Although I may not need everything they have, I still like looking. Parking was ok, but not the best. But hey, I found a spot across the street, so no complaints here. I've shopped at harbor freight for a couple of years now, and there prices are cheap for reasonable quality tools. read more

I needed a very tiny rubber o-ring for my... breast pump. I went to the big guys down the street and they did not have what I needed in store (surprisingly! That place is so big...) but said I could order it online. Well I needed it yesterday and I don't give up easily, so I called Harbor Freight. Spoke with Steve, who was so patient with me. He put me on hold, found what I needed (in store!) and set it aside for me to come in and get it. Steve was just as friendly in person! Thanks so much. read more

Omg slowest service ever! Only one person running register with 6 people in line, why have more than one register if your not going to use it? If I could give zero stars I would this has got to be the worst place ever in my life that I been to..the customer service is so poor, no one seems to have any product knowledge, and there has only been one person there that I have come across that was actually nice i dnt recall his name but he was a Hispanic male .other then that everyone else had been no help and extremely rude especially the chunky round African /Hispanic that works up front wearing the name tag that says Elvira she has always had such a poor miserable like attitude every time I've gone in there and is always so rude she really doesn't need to be working up front and if she hates her job so much she should really be looking for a diffrent line of work like somewhere where she don't have to see or deal with another human being she just brings such a darker shadow over the entire store with her Negativity !!! read more

Garbage is garbage! My fault for even going in. Smelled like China 10 miles at sea in the parking lot. Bought 2 major tools twice and returned them twice because they didn't work and broke each time on each 1st use. The people that work thier were great, my review is just based on the junk being sold. Yes, my fault I know better but got caught up on all the tools. read more

I love and hate coming here! They have so many things that I end up spending way too much!

Thought this new store was really cool until today. Traffic was light, and went to pay for my signal item. The second cashier mentioned she had closed. Waited in line, as the one cashier was helping with a return. Other store employees were around the checkout area. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes, decided I really wasn't going to wait anymore. Dropped my item and departed. I'll come back another time and see if customer service continues to be a problem. read more

Called in and spoke with "Arturo" for availability of two items. He was very efficient. Drove down there, easy in and out and plenty of parking. Store was very clean and organized. Con: Their customer service can be hit and miss but I don't mind as long as I'm getting what I need. I've been to the Mira Mesa, El Cajon, Chula Vista and now this Lemon Grove location which is closest to me and there is always a mix of rude and friendly workers. Inside Trader Club leaves much to be desired. All the tools I've needed have been bought through the regular ad or coupon prices. None of the ITC deals are very desirable to me for my needs (mainly automotive). Pros: Definitely sign up for their E-Mail fliers! They have great deals and also check your mail! They have deals in the Union Tribune and individual fliers that may not be in the E-Mail (this is where you'll usually find the 20% coupons and occasionally 25% coupons). They have some pretty lame tools but they also have great tools at incredible prices. You really need to look at the reviews on the site before purchasing. I have a bunch of Snap-On tools and still buy things off the truck but nothing beats a great bargain. Some of the things I've bought and love are: 2 ton engine hoist 1/2 ton engine stand 2 ton load leveler 1 ton engine support bar The new lineup of extra long, flex head ratchets (awesome for the price and they take a beating!) Not nearly as good as Snap-On 80 tooth ratchets but they're 1/4 to 1/5 of the price and very, very good for the money. 8 piece Pittsburgh Pro screwdrivers with the TPR handles Cro-Moly Pitsburgh Pro impact sockets CR-V Pittsburgh Pro sockets Super Lube Six gallon 150psi oil-less compressor 60 gallon 135psi oil lubed compressor (brother's) 48oz dead blow hammer Red five drawer tool cart 1000lb mover's dolly (sat my 4 cylinder engine w/ trans attached on it overnight before I bought the engine stand) Brake pad service kit read more
