They had exactly what I wanted. Selection was good and price was great. The service needs improvement. I bought multiple furniture dollies 15 to be exact. one item and they had to pull an item out of the back for me. The associate handed me the item and said I can pull my car up and offered no help. I was trying to exit all of the furniture dollies fell to the floor in the middle of the doorway. Not one associate offered to help me. The only person to help was a transient that was outside and helped me. I will not be back to this location. Need better service. read more

Really good customer service from the people who work there. The store also has great priced items; some of which you can get additional discounts if you have the physical copy of their flyer. On my 06AUG2021 a sign was posted outside requiring a face covering to enter. Nothing out of the ordinary compared to other Harbor Freight stores. Being clean and organized made it easy to find the plumbing tape and batteries that I was looking for. Only discrepancy [which may not be a store but a property issue] was the handicap parking outside as the stalls are not clearly marked (floor) and no signs are visibly posted. Regardless, quick, easy, and convenient purchase. Will drop by here again to pick up additional needed items. read more

Predator inverter generator wouldn't run brought back 2 hours later and was charged 20% restocking Fee. The cash said I had 90 day to return it, But didnt disclose the 20% restocking fee $200. lesson. I had to set up this generator unboxing, buy oil, gas fill with oil, gas and then battery was dead. Thank God I didnt buy two years of back and forth returns that was another $300. read more

I haven't shopped at this location so I don't know how it is, we just deliver loads to them. Always a good experience. The staff is friendly and they get us unloaded quickly. We usually get here to late to be unloaded so we stay the night but there is plenty of space for us to park and untap and get everything ready to be unloaded in the morning. read more

Genesis (Mgr.) and Joann (Ass.) have just made a life-long Harbor Freight customer vow to never shop there again - all over a $15 return. Did you know that Bondo filler is a final sale? I sure didn't and there was no indication on the sales shelf nor did the associate who sold it to me inform me before I swiped my credit card. I attempted to return the unopened and unused product tonight and was met with denial and very rude treatment by both ladies. Joann seemed to think that I was hard-of-hearing as she very loudly shouted at me in the store which caused me to raise my voice in return at her. I then asked for a manager and had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Genesis. She seemed to find the entire situation humorous and was extremely dismissive, rude and unhelpful. When I told her I was never going to shop there again she smiled and smugly stated "Oh, that's so sad". I pointed out the legalities of having items listed as final sale and she just told me it's on the receipt. So here is something everyone who shops at Harbor Freight needs to know: Any item can be final sale / no returns. There is no requirement to list on the shelf tag that the item is final sale. There is no requirement for the associate who rings up the sale to inform the customer the item is not returnable. You are supposed to see the final sale on the printed receipt which you receive AFTER you pay for the item. At that point, even if you haven't left the store, the item is not returnable. When I brought this up to Genesis she said we are just going in circles about this and she kept repeating that the final sale is listed on the receipt. After I left the store I checked out the same item at Home Depot. While it may have cost a little more at their store it was completely returnable even if opened. They just gained my business. This place has some tools, they may not be the best in the west, but for the price, you can pick up just about anything at bargain prices. One of the best places to find items, that you might not think of in terms the usual places to purchase these things. Like magnifying lamps, I bought two for the office and use them daily, best thing I could have bought for $30 each. Most sell for way more than this. I have also found some rulers and other items I use for crafty work and at prices way below the craft stores or catalogs. So sign up for their mailing list, and go in from time to time and check out their bargain prices. read more

Went in with a 20% off coupon to pick up a rotary hammer. Wait in a single open register line, 2 deep, for 10mins. Finally. "Oh sorry, that discount doesn't apply". What?!? Great. You want to sign up for the club? Frustrated..."Sure why not". Done. Key-knife sale says half off for club members. I throw that in. Get charged full price. "I just enrolled in the club!" Mmmm. Bait and switch is the norm with this store. They'll advertise a great price, say it's in stock, you go there and they can't find it. Of course, they are willing to sell you another product that is available, and much more expensive. Manager just shrugs and does nothing. This store is located on E. Sunset Rd . Just east of Pecos behind Autozone and right next to Bedrosians Tile. Plenty of parking so no problem. The place has about every nick nack tool and oddball housing item you can imagine. Mostly cheaper import stuff but if its for ocaassional use, its a deal and usually works pretty good. Customer service is really poor. They are always understaffed and if you're wanting information or specs on the items they sell, dont hold your breath. Whatever is on the box or in the ad is it. They arent trained on the items they're either stockers or cashiers. I'm not complaining because you do get exactly what you pay for. They always have online coupons and in various car magazines and similar. You can get free items and coupons up to 20% off. Recommended for all kinds of things around the house for men and women. Go in look around and you will find something you want and it will be a deal. read more

And so another tool store for my husband to shop at! We stopped in for something minor. Thanks to the harbor freight coupons we've received in the mail, we walked out with more than expected. They often send out coupons for free items. Some of these items aren't great quality but hey,.. It's free! The store is smaller than that home improvement stores but they have tools for just about any small project around the house. Their prices are great comparatively. As stated before, the quality of some items aren't great but they do offer warranties on many of the small power tools. Service here is ok but nothing over the top. Huge parking area that sits directly under the inbound flight paths. Next time when my husband needs to come here, I can watch the planes! read more

So you can get some good deals here but their not the best quality. They have a lot of tools that are needed on any home project that you may encounter. The problem that I have found is that any tools that are electrical are of poor quality and will break or just not work well sooner rather than later. Just pay the extra amount and get yourself a good quality brand (Makita, Bosch, DeWalt etc.) Now if you are going there to get a screwdriver set, ratchet set, moving dolly etc. you will save some money and it will do the job just as well as one you purchased at any other home improvement store. So again, say no air compressors, electric drills, generators, any type of drill bits (because these must be good quality) etc. Say yes to replacement wheels, tool storage bins, wrenches, screwdrivers, tarps etc. read more

I've been shopping at HF for years, and there ARE good tools here if you shop smart! Here is the secret, and PLEASE pass this on: If you're making a purchase on any electric tool, cordless drills, compressor, or expensive thing ---make sure you read thru the reviews of that item on their website!!-- They seem honest, and I've had good luck with most of the stuff I buy there. I don't think that HF removes bad reviews. (you'll see plenty of bad reviews, haha) Look thru a lot of reviews, and look for people that had consistent trouble with a part on a tool. When you buy tools, PLEASE make sure to leave a review on the HF website as well. It helps us ALL figure out if something is crap or not! I've never had problems returning things at this store, just make sure you have the receipt. (Sign up with your email, and they email you all your receipts so you don't lose them.) If it's an expensive tool, make sure to ask if there is a different return policy. The tool chests there are AWESOME. You can't beat the price, and the quality is great. Stuff like hammers, prybars, screwdrivers, metal clamps - all good. Wrenches are good, probably not for pros. The grinding and cutting wheels are good, and cheap. Avoid a lot of their drill bits because they break. Step bits and metal hole saw kit are really good, and buy the CRC cutting oil. Plus use the 20% coupons, and they will accept email/online coupons from your phone, so you can keep using them until they expire! As far as the service goes for this store, the employees are nice. There is like 1 guy there that is blah, but pretty much everyone else that works there is helpful. The checkout line can get backed up and slow. Get your free goodie from the coupons, and check the SKU number on it to make sure it's the right item. Half of the time the line is slow because someone grabbed the wrong free thing and has to run and get one with a different number. Don't be that guy!! read more

David the manager is a judgemental jerk who threatened me and made up return policy's. People like him should not be in power because they abuse it when they want because they have the right to refuse who they want not based on facts but based on an ignorant pre conceived assumption based on my tattoos. I .tried to return a Jack and impact with the receipt less then a week after purchase I had the receipt and the card used for the purchase but I didn't have the phone that was used when I was purchasing because my buddy imputed his number in hopes of being able to use or gain any kind of reward points being that he often shopped there and I was busy loading the rest of my order into the cart. When I went to return the manager named David at the store on sunset in Las Vegas was immediately hostile and rude because I came in 10 mins before closing he claimed that if I didn't have the phone number that was given when I made the purchase even if I had the receipt and unopened product as well as my debit card used for the purchase that he won't let me return. After a short argument he started to threaten me and told me to wait around for him in the parking lot and that he would show me what he will do to me . I want my money back and I want a complaint made for the harassing nature of the so called store manager. read more

Much of their hardware is decent. Had to send back their $35 cordless drill. Came with two bat packs and charger. Torque was severely lacking. Not an all-around drill. However, was useful for the every day picture hanger and loose screw dabber and light-weight home projects. Before you buy any electronics be sure to check out all customer reviews. It appears that they have issues with quite a few electric items of which they don't fully, or at all, disclose shortcomings. Again, everything from gloves, to sandpaper, to wrenches, to sockets were good in my experience. Watch their mailers and emails for great sales. Price swings can be wide and like other posters said, be careful buying more expensive items - known ALL return policies so as not to be surprised. read more

Other than flag burning I'm not sure you could do anything more unAmerican than shopping here. 90% of the products are direct from China, 7% probably come from India and if you're lucky you might find that 3% of the items are produced in the USA, but that's probably a stretch. So, if you can get over being a commie you'll realise that the absolute only reason to come here is to get some CHEAP tools. Sometimes I wonder why they even bother putting a price tag on the crap it's so cheap. But of course like anything in life you get what you pay for. Most of the tools here are garbage. You literally buy these products knowing good and well that they are disposable. So why on earth would I ever come here, I know it's not for the superior customer service or quality products, its the price. Did I mention yet that this place sells really cheap tools? Okay, yeah, they're cheap but make sure that you don't ever buy anything unless it's on sale. On any given day about 1/3 of the store is on sale and if what you're looking for isn't on sale chances are good that in two weeks it will be on sale. Obviously I don't buy all of my tools here. Using cheap ratchets, screw drivers and other hand tools that require tight tolerances is no fun. I stay away from these sorts of things....but if you want a recip saw for $17 or an angle grinder for $9 this is your place. They also have a great selection of stuff that you never knew that you needed until you saw it on sale. It's a great place to pick up tarps, tie downs, trailer accessories and other things that Home Depot will screw you on. read more

LED Flashlights. This is THE PLACE to get them, especially with the 20% off coupons that float around. Also if you're in need of specialty car and crafting tools and don't want to pay out the nose for them this is where you go. Case in point: Brake tools. I bought a 3 piece set for $11 here, Autozone and PepBoys across the parking lot wanted double that for their tools and they only had 2 tools in their set. Another example: You can pick up a starter airbrush for dirt cheap to practice with until you get good and decide it's time to go with pro gear. Harbor Freight is one of my main Burning Man supply points as they have everything from Arbor Presses to powder coating guns to Dremel bits and Sawzall blades for cheap. Tarps, rope, you name it, chances are they have it. I've bought from Harbor Freight for years, the secret is to go online and read the reviews on the specialty tools to know if you're getting a good deal or not. Chances are it's a good deal though. And their air tools have been a godsend! 4 Strong Stars. My debit card knows this place a little too well. Sign up for their special offers and coupons and check your weekly mail ad inserts as that's where I get my 20% off coupons. Harbor Freight is a great place to buy tools. They have a very diverse selection and tons of specialty tools you will not find at Home Depot or Lowes. From floor jacks to welders, power tools to towing accessories and everything in between, you'll find what you're looking for. The only drawback is most of their products are made in China. While this does provide you with far better prices compared to Snap-On or SK Tools, sometimes the reduced quality isn't worth paying the lower price. I own a lot of HF tools but there are key pieces in my garage that need to be of a higher quality. DO NOT shop here if you plan on spending 3 figures or more for any one item. The quality sucks. For small hand tools or things like tape, tarps, moving blankets, or smaller power tools, the prices are great. HOWEVER: Do not plan on being able to use even these items for very long if you do not pamper them. When they say "Harbor Freight" they probably mean "We went down to the HARBOR and picked up a bunch of cheap FREIGHT from China." I was excited to get an air compressor for a really good price, but it's been less than a year since I bought it, and the thing's already broken. Since I'm passed the 90-day-exchange-with-receipt date, Harbor Freight tells me I'm out of luck. So, I find myself asking: was my air compressor cheap, or really, really expensive? You do the math. I bought a Central Machinery 12" thickness planer on Sunday 8/10/17 parking lot tent sale. It was a display model and cost $178. It came with no box or manual. I took it home and immediately left town for work. Today 9/1/17 I down loaded the manual and began checking screws, bolts, blades for tightness before starting it up. I plugged it in, went to the switch to turn it on and the switch was gone. They sold a power tool that doesn't even work. I took it back today and the mgr said it's been discontinued and he could give me a credit to get the new model that replaced it or call customer service to get the part. I called CS and the basically told me to pound sand, and they didn't have a part for it. They did give me a competitors name who has a similar product and part that would fit. These people are so condescending and/or unhappy. It is shocking that a store can offer such bad service. I have had 1 good exchange with an employee with 2 direct requests for help and 4 check-outs (I've made 4 purchases over 3 visits.) That's a 17% success rate! I won't be back. They sell all sorts of tools here. You just have to know your stuff. Sometimes you can get a great deal, like the General series tool boxes, or the car jacks.. other times your buying on the cheap and after a couple of uses your tools just stop working. A lot of tools here don't have the lifetime warranty like with craftsman, snapon, and kobalt. I like to do a lot of home projects and work on my jeep and I just prefer to have tools I know I can rely on. read more

Wasn't even aware this place existed until just a few weeks ago. Glad I found it! I recently just started another home project which entails ripping up the carpet in my bathroom as well as the fiberglass shower/tub and putting in tile on the floor as well as the shower. All of the tools I needed to do the demo I have been able to find at Harbor Freight. So far I've purchased an air nailer, a skill saw, reciprocating saw, and a plethora of other hand tools as well, and I've never been disappointed. Good stuff at great prices. Bought a metal work bench. 48 x 24. Two strudy draws. Would have liked their wood work bench but it was too large. I had them place it in my trunk but it was so heavy that I had to break open the box and remove it piece by piece. The instructions were poor at best...just study it before and during assembly. It took me 2 hours a day for 4 days. Only worked on it in the early morning in the garage. Harbor Freight has a lot of good stuff at very reasonable price. This was my wort experience I have ever hade here I have been coming with my family and grandfather for years! I got a email on $29 dollar pruning cutters buy way of coupon on Monday so I was exited to go in on my day off. Showed up got that in my cart and 5 other items, got up to the counter and the lady would not give me the price until I found it in my emails. I told her my eyes are really bad but I took a photo of the add see told me that wasn't good enough I had to find the email. My phone number came up as a member but she still would not expect no 5 people are behind me I really feel embarrassed now I kept looking for the email in my trash fill finally found it asked he to help me find the item she sied at me and said really!
