Ace Hardware - Guava jam and jelly, soda crackers etc - Hardware Stores Near Me - Las Vegas, Nevada

I had a very disappointing experience at Ace Hardware. I went into the store looking for a specific product and asked the manager for assistance locating it. Unfortunately, she was not helpful and did not seem willing to make much effort to help me find what I was looking for. I'm not positive, but I think her name is Flo. I expected better customer service, especially from a manager. I left the store feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience. When a customer takes the time to come into the store and asks for help, I believe the staff--especially management--should make an effort to assist them. Overall, this was a horrible experience, and it has definitely changed my impression of this Ace Hardware location. read more

The asian lady needs to be put to pasture, rude. A real negative for Ace hardware. There is no way that store will last much long with such poor service. read more

I wanted to love this Ace Hardware location, but they rarely have what I'm looking for. The final straw, however, was when I went in to have a new key made for my car. Because they needed to order the key and a specialist to program the key to the car, they told me they'd give me a call in a week to schedule a time to finish the order. I paid over $150 upfront. A month later, after never hearing back from the store, I called to cancel the order. They put me on hold numerous times, each time transferring me to someone new who I had to explain the situation to again. Eventually, the last representative told me they couldn't find the order so couldn't issue a refund. I've got my receipt right here and am left with no option but to charge back the purchase with my credit card company. I personally won't be returning despite appreciating Ace's cooperative organizational structure. read more

This place has very poor management. The older Asian lady seemingly being the manager there is so rude, unbelievable. This is my neighborhood hardware store, but I prefer driving 15 min to a Home Depot or LOWES with friendly customer service. I have come to this place a lot of times, and not once found the manager to be friendly to customers. The other staff changes all the time, but the manager is there for many years and she treats customers worse and worse. I picked up an online order today, and again felt like I was not welcome there as a customer. I wonder how this place is still in business. I feel bad for the owners, as I am business owner myself and sure hope that my staff treats our clients much better. read more

I have been here a few times, and the employees are always very nice and helpful. Today, they really went out of their way to help me match the missing screw and washer for my car part. Both me and my friend really love the selection, friendly employees, and the Hawaiian goods are a neat touch, also. The prices were very cheap for the items I bought. I like supporting franchise-owned businesses that keep people employed and money in our community. I encountered an Asian lady, African-American, gentleman, and tall Caucasian gentlemen. All three were so incredibly kind and friendly; unfortunately, I don't remember their names. I definitely will be back. I wanted to post a review to let others know what a wonderfully well-run establishment this is. read more

This store is hit or miss in my opinion. It's great for cleaning supplies, air filters, gardening. But for some things you just have to hit the big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. Their light bulb selection, for example, is very minimal. Sometimes you find someone to help you and sometimes you don't. read more

Karen H is a superstar, was able to assist me over the phone and provided the assistance I needed. Bravo.

Great store, convenient, location, and friendly staff. My only issue with Ace is their stocking of material. It seems that never fails. You come in to get two or three items and they only have one especially in their plumbing section. I don't know if they realize it, there's usually a hot and cold water, and if you're going to buy connectors to replace a faucet or something else, you typically do a hot and cold, which means you need 2! it's very frustrating when you go to purchase a simple item and take the time to stop off at the store instead of going to the big buck store only to realize you wasted your time because they only have one in stock. You should upgrade your stocking, software or fire your stocking person because they're not doing a good job. read more

I have to say that they ACE hardware on Cheyanne really stands by their company slogan. The husband and I came in looking for a light bulb for my MIL's fridge. And as soon we walked in, Robert greeted us. and not in the way you would feel badgered by an associate looking to make a commission, but in the way where you just feel at home. Lee showed Robert what we were looking for and he walked us to the aisle and was very knowledgeable with his product. We also chatted with him and found out he's from the Big Island. Always nice to meet islanders :) Joyce, the cashier who checked us out was sooo nice! It's been awhile since I've left a review, but we were really Impressed with the service that we wanted to recognize their staff! We definitely will be back. And mahalo plenty for the hospitality! read more

I really try and use local smaller owned businesses, but this place really makes it impossible to explain to my clients how material price is DOUBLE because I used Ace. I went in for a 4' by 4' piece of plywood and a piece of non decorative trim stock witch was bent to hell btw 56 dollars WHAT! The guys behind the counter should wear ski masks that's complete robbery. Sorry but good riddance read more

If you need an odd size bolt this is the place to go to they have everything don't go to Home Depot or Lowe's those places are jokes when you're looking for some bolt read more

Most Ace Hardware store are very nice, not this one. I came in listening to an employee complaining about customers, an employee that walked away from me when I was asking questions, and a store that has so little lighting because, I assume, they are too cheap to replace the fluorescent light bulbs. Many of the shelves are half empty. Next time, I will go to a locksmith to get keys made. read more

I forgot the managers name but he went above and beyond to help me twice. I had been to so many other stores and they just tried to rip me off. This store has been amazing with help and the people there are genuinely nice. Thank you guys! read more

This place is the bomb for getting just about anything you need without wandering through a big box store. Unlike the big box stores, you can actually find a friendly face willing to help. Bonus points for being owned and operated by our island ohana. Love that I can find a few island gifts and products here in the desert too! Mahalo Ace! read more

We try to support smaller neighborhood businesses, but Ace on Cheyenne has just lost our business and I will let my neighbors know as well. We went to buy some wire rope to hang lights in our backyard, we had never done this before so I did not know how much it should cost but figured it couldn't be much different than Home Depot or lowes?? Wrong!!! We loved the lights so ordered more, when I looked around for the wire I was seeing how different the prices were! We paid .99 cents a foot for 1/16 galvanized wire rope. Everywhere else was .32 - .34 cents a foot ! How could they charge 3 X more than everyone else? We thought there had to be a mistake, it must have been .99 cents a yard since that is how they measured it? So we went back in and nope they really really charge 99 cents a foot! We paid $40 ( we needed 40 feet) for something that should have been about $14. They just said sorry! We feel stupid but want to let people know they will rip you off!!! read more

Over the top exceptional service and store. I highly recommend this store over Home Depot or Lowe's. The management goes above and beyond to help me. I've been in perhaps 8-10 times in past few weeks and every time it's a perfect experience. read more

Love this store! They always have the bolts or nuts I need to do my projects!! Grill section is great and they have all you need!!? Staff is friendly and helpful! read more

Yes ,. They are nice & helpful, usually in / out . Great for simple things ! Home Depot & Loews are one stop for projects on larger scale

When you just need 1 thing, it's a great option. The selection is fine, especially if you need just a couple strange sized bolts or bushings. The downside is that you are going to pay more than Home Depot or big box stores in exchange for the convenience of a small neighborhood hardware store. The staff has been helpful with all the questions I've had, granted I've never asked something too technical. read more

After 2 failed attempts to make me a new car key, and waiting 2 months for blanks to arrive, ACE refunded the money for the key but NOT the labor charge. Store admitted problem was their equipment and that they had the same problem with other customers. They held my money for over 2 months, had to make 2 trips to the store, did not receive the product and got charged $10 for my dissatisfaction read more

Typically stay neutral with ratings of this store, it's convenient and always overpriced, for the most part the clerks are doing their job. Today I ran into a male clerk W... that was just the worst. He was showboating for some female customers and clerks had nothing to do with my transaction but felt the need to interject and told me to leave the store while all that was left was to insert my card, reason, I was Rude, not threatening, not shoplifting, not loud. This was all to do with their Policy which I did not see posted anywhere as it applies for the process of getting an item that is locked. Simple Policy as in many other retail businesses is you take a card, or are handed a ticket to present at the counter, but none of that here. The arrogance of this young man was awful and I'm sure it was because I am a white senior that he thought he can harass. I have sent corporate a letter and will wait to see how they respond. read more
