I've been wanting to check this place out for a while now. I recently needed to get a copy of my house key so I gave them a call to see if they made them and ended up getting 2 done for a total of $8.65 , very reasonable. This is a REAL HARDWARE STORE. I was pleasantly surprised at all they had and the cleanliness of the store. The employees were nice and helpful. This is the kind of place I remember going to with my Dad back in the Carolinas when I was growing up. They have lots of bbq supplies , sauces , rubs , and of course bbqs like Traeger and Big Green Egg. They occasionally have cookouts for special occasions like 4th of July and such and of course I've missed everyone. They have a small Traeger that I may end up going back to buy. Also lots of tools and gardening equipment to include shovels and tree trimmers. Lots of bird feeders , it's just nice to see the selection they have here. Don't ask for help because they just point over here. I asked for help finding screws and the guy said aisle nine and pointed. If I needed to find the aisle, i would look up at the signs. I needed help finding the actual screws I brought in. I'm pretty sure i don't look like a screw expert. I attempted to browse the 7,000 boxes of screws and ended up leaving. Heading over to the Tropicana location to get real help with finding what I need. Shame on the guy with dark hair in his 40s. Enjoy getting paid to stand around and chat with your coworkers instead of help a girl find TWO SCREWS. read more

This is by far the best place to find a solution from a clogged drain to a desoldering project. You have to ask for Otila because there's nothing too hard for her to solve. I drive 30 minutes just to see her and seek her advice. It's worth the drive and she is so far not been wrong on any problem I present to her. read more

My husband and I always come to this location whenever we are in need of something. However one encounter I had was incredibly unprofessional and I was not satisfied with my visit. I was in the store and I ask an employee for help. He looked like a young man, about 5'3, and was hispanic (I did not get his name). He was very unprofessional and gave me a bad impression. However I did ask another employee who looked about in his 30-40s, for help and he actually managed to help me. Ace Hardware, do better. I will now be going back to Lowe's. read more

This is a relatively new store - just under 6 months since it opened. I have been in several times and the staff, especially Esther, has been more than nice and helpful. Now, I will never be back. I WAS LIED TO BY THEIR EMPLOYEE, JOE and then rudely 'blown off' by the OWNER of the store!!! Why, Gas is now at $5 a gallon so I called the store to be certain that they had a particular PVC adapter part. The first time I called I was transferred to "Joe" and I carefully explained the part I was looking for...He said that "he would go and check their stock." Then he accidently disconnected me! Not a good start but I believed that that WAS an accident so called back. Once again I was connected to "Joe" who said "Yes, we have that part in stock." When I asked if he was certain, he assured me to come on over. I hopped in the car and drove a couple miles to the store and asked for "Joe" and asked for the part wronfully assuming that he was kind enough to have pulled it to save us both time. WRONG! He spent 10+minutes looking all over the shelves and I asked why he was searching when he said that he checked the shelves AND HAD FOUND IT just 10 minutes earlier. He finally gave up and I asked to speak to the manager. A man, no uniform, came over and after I complained about his employee lying to me and my wasting gas and time - the "owner" said "He made a mistake, what do you want me to do, HAVE HIM SHINE YOUR SHOES?" I will gladly spread the word about ACE as we are 27 year residents of Spring Valley. What a corporate embarrassment this "owner" is! read more
