Awful. Worker lady is rude and impatient. Too much attitude. Never going here again.

This was my first time attending the National Hardware Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center…read more The show is divided into two major sections--lawn, home, and garden--and regular hardware items such as tool boxes, welding helmets, plumbing supplies and everything else you could ever lump into the "hardware" category. I spent more time in the home and garden section even though most of the items don't have a use in Las Vegas for many of us. Since we've traded grass for xeriscape, many of us have no need for lawn mowers, weed whackers, et. al. The lawn and garden section was in the North Hall of the convention center. I met some very nice and interesting people. It's a much more laid back show than the geeks of CES. I eventually made my way to the Central Hall for the regular hardware items. One of the standouts in this area was the large electrical displays. If I were giving Benjamin Braddock advice this year, I'd tell him, "LEDs". There were so many vendors with lights of various kinds that used LEDs to generate bright lights. After the Central Hall, I went outside to the outdoor, recreation, and tailgate area. They had a number of food vendors here tied in with some kind of cooking item. There were several vendors selling outdoor pizza bakers that rotated the pizzas as they cooked. They also had samples. I was surprised at how much food and food related vendors that were at the show. I expected a lot of wrenches, toilets, and other hardware items. Imagine my surprise when I'm given samples of beef jerky (teriyaki flavor) on entering the show to get my credentials. I'll attend next year. It's too good a show to miss and it's at a great time of the year!

I Explained my plumbing situation and she walked me over to Bob and Alec in the plumbing department. Bob and Alec also greeted me with huge smiles and were very pleasant. They were more than willing to help me figure out what I needed. They were able to figure out from my explanation of the thingamajig that goes in the thingamajig under the sink. They knew Exactly what I needed. It was nice not to have to return to the store multiple times to get the right parts. Also , I was impressedwith how clean the store was and organized. Bob and Alec knew exactly where everything was. As I left Melissa checked in with me again to make sure I was able to find what I needed for the repair on my mothers home . The staff is definitely Five Star employees. I highly recommend the store !!

This particular location on Tropicana at Durango is so much larger than meets the eye. I loved the personal service here, the organized rows, and the well-curated selection of merchandise. I originally went there for Car Key Duplicates (which are the best deal here, skip the dealership!) and left with an armload of goodies you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. Ginger Chews, Sarsaparilla, and beeswax and who knows what else? It all felt very Pacific Northwest or a caring hardware store I used to frequent in West Hollywood. I will be back on my next home project and for basic maintenance supplies, too. This Ace location is ACE and lovely. Pleasant shopping experiences make a difference. This store works to earn your business. :)

I normally hate to do negative reviews, but I hope this one helps others avoid what I went through…read more I originally purchased replacement doors at my local Lowe's. To take advantage of their installation service, which was recommended by the local Lowe's staffer who helped me, I went online to submit my service order. The whole online experience was a disaster. They need to update their website to be more user friendly. After a few days, I finally submitted request for help. I received a phone call to review and finalize my order. No prob, right? Enter Window Fits, who called me to schedule. Well, after some delays, coordinating with delivery of doors prior to the contractors scheduled visit, the installation day finally arrived. It didn't go smoothly. The delivered doors were chipped around corners with scuff marks on the pre-primed white doors. The contractor assured they'd take care of them when installed. Halfway through, he tells me the delivery didn't have all 30 Primed S4SEE MDF Boards and that he had to go and pick up the missing boards. After he told me the job was done, I noticed my tile floors around the door frames had the exposed subfloors. He said he would come back and fill them in. Then I found some door frames that weren't caulked and not firmly nailed in. After making promises to come back to finish...they never showed up. I called Lowe's to complain. The person on the phone said he'd submit an investigation and a work order to send someone to come out to inspect the job. Well, I got an email confirmation from Lowe's. Wanna guess what the email subject line was? "Lead Paint Assessment". The copy read, "Lowe's requires you to schedule a lead paint assessment for your property in Las Vegas, NV, due to potential EPA regulations, and provides information on the process and required actions." Not only did the email alarmed my whole family, they wanted to move out. Nice job Lowe's. What a joke.
