She really needs her glasses to function, and no, she does not have an extra pair with her. It is late in the day on a Saturday. There is no way we can find an Optical shop open here today, and we are heading into remote areas of Washington tomorrow. We are away from home, and I am without tools, supplies, or even an appropriate work surface. No worries though, because I remembered seeing an Ace Hardware store as we drove in. Suddenly, I feel like MacGyver, or Mark Watney...under pressure, but ready to put together a solution to save the day. I was able to buy Gorilla Glue, some copper wire, some hobby clips, and wire cutters from Nelson's Ace Hardware. I got a couple of paper clips from the Hotel front desk, a lens cleaning cloth from my camera bag, and some loose paper from a folder that happened to be in the car. To quote Hannibal Smith, "I love it when a plan comes together". And Nelson's Ace Hardware did their part today! Thanks Helpful Folks!

They said they were on isle 14 where we had looked a couple of times and were unable to find them. I asked for assistance and they just looked at me and didn't offer to come help. There were no other customers waiting to be cashed out. We left and went to Ace in Kalispell and found all that we needed. The employees in this store did not greet us and were not helpful so will not be going back there.

This ace has a great selection of hardware and I used to spend hundreds of dollars a month there, but I've finally had it with him to the point I'll be shopping elsewhere for hardware. If you are a guy familiar with searching for hardware for a project, you probably know it's a process that requires focus, brain power, and patience. He will come asking if you need help, and even if you respond with "no thanks" he will proceed to help you anyways by being incredibly rude and being condescending. Every time I've been in I watch other men slowly get filled with rage as he tries to "help" and no matter what you tell him he will not leave you alone.

Chickens are our main reason we go here, not only for chicks but for everything they'll need EVER!! They also have a nice tool department with many name brand tools. There is a wonderful clothing and footwear department that sells many name brands that really appeal to the masses. Hunting apparel, jeans, coats, shirts and accessories. There is usually a really good selection on their clearance rack that I've found amazing deals for bothering me and my husband. But our favorite department is the gun department. They are helpful, knowledgeable and eager to show you anything that you might want to touch. We've been known to go in for chicken food and leave with a gun or two!! Ammo is always stocked and they carry many accessories too. Along with a huge selection of safes. Watch for their sales because they have some pretty awesome deals. But most of all after a big shopping haul right at the check out is a vast array of candy and snacks!! Also hard to resist!! Went in to buy several things for a project. There were very few customers in the store…read more Employees were walking all over in pairs talking to one another. When I needed a question answered, there was nobody to be found. I finally found two guys bringing things in from outside the rear of the store. I asked if one of them could help me. One of them said, "give us a second sir," and then went about their business. Once the dropped their load inside I thought they would help. No. They went back outside and continued doing what they were doing. I went to the front of the store and talked to a manager, "Larry" who did answer my question. No apology for my experience. He basically said there's the door, have a nice night. No one works for a living in this store. I've had to help customers in their paint department because they could get help or the rare working employee had no clue about the items in their own department. I will not be back.
