Was super excited to see a Harbor Freight open locally. Hadn't had a chance to stop in since they opened but got a flyer full of coupons and notice about a 3 day "parking lot" sale starting today. We pulled up, coupons in hand, ready to shop in the great outdoors, hopefully avoiding the Corona Virus and nope... nothing actually in the Parking Lot. Ok... I'll give them it's been raining so they are holding it indoors... Walked in and there are signs everywhere but the "parking lot" sale is spread ALL OVER the store... things we'd been looking for were hidden on regular shelves, not out with the sale items... basically using, predatory sales tactics to get us INSIDE the store, looking through the whole store hunting for the sale items and hopefully finding other non sale items we absolutely must have.
Now, we'd also decided to buy a large ticket item while we were there... we had a 20% off coupon after all! We found what we wanted and it said to ask for assistance. We did and were asked for the item number... hmmm didn't know that was my job. Purpose being they had to look and see if the item was in stock. Ummm.. there's one on the shelf, I say.. ignored... nevertheless, they have to see if it's in stock. No, none in stock, they need our info to give us a rain check. Ummm.. I say again... THERE'S ONE ON THE SELF! Oh, ok.. we'll have someone get that for you. Yeah.. that's what we asked for 15 minutes ago... ASSISTANCE! Oh, and by the way, the 20% off coupon doesn't apply to big ticket items... So. Not. Impressed... They could have had 2 new customers... instead, neither of us will be returning. read more
