I was told it would be in just after 4 July. They took my info and wrote it and the price on a piece of paper. My husband went in a couple weeks later and they said next week. I called about a week and a half ago and they said it was in but they couldn't call me because they "lost" the paper with my number on it. When my husband went to pick it up he was told the sale was over and it was now the regular price! I called and said I didn't understand why I didn't get the sale price since it was them and Toro that advertised without enough stock. He call me back and said he's give it to me for $600 something. Still more than $100 more than I was quoted. The lady that was there when I went in remembered me and the situation but referred me to the owner. I didn't buy it and as much as I prefer to support local , which was why I went there in the first place , I will never buy anything more than a can of bug spray from them. I have an ACE near my work. I'm not even sure I will buy a Toro, but, we had luck with an old gas mower but wanted to upgrade to a battery powered one. I regularly get coupons towards purchases based on my previous purchases. They are convenient and friendly. They've saved me countless trips to the big box stores that are miles away.

However this wasn't too bad, the associate Tom pulled the items for me and kept behind the counter. I also appreciate that I don't feel like they're trying to oversell or upsell on things I could do less expensively. For example, we are redoing our kitchen ourselves (it's an ongoing process if you know what I mean) and we reused the old cabinets because they were in good shape. The old cabinets had doors that were not compatible with hidden hinges unless you wanted to spend an *obscene* amount of money on hinges. The guys at Rockler's walked me through the options and I realized that we just needed new doors. Initially I thought we would make the doors but then that felt a bit overwhelming with all we needed to do. So I decided that we were going to buy doors. Rockler's sells doors. I figured that was perfect. When I went back in to tell the guy helping me that we were going to buy new doors, he told me that the style door we were interested in was actually a very simple one to make. He outlined the process right then and made us feel much more confident about the process. Making doors is really a better option for us because we will save a lot of money that way and we've done some woodworking before - just not cabinet doirs. We stopped in today to get our materials and when I saw that they didn't have any reviews I wanted to add one right away. An Unfortunate Series of Events In October 2025, I brought…read moreseveral window screens to be serviced. Some were bent and needed replacement, while others only required rescreening. When we picked them up and brought them home, we realized the screens did not fit properly, and the bent screens had not been replaced as requested. I called immediately, and Patty initially acknowledged the mistake and told us to bring the screens back so the issue could be corrected. Shortly after that, I had to travel out of state due to an emergency and was away for approximately one month, bringing us into December. After a very rough winter, we finally returned the screens. While they were repaired, they still did not fit correctly. At that point, a technician came to the house to measure the windows. We later received a call that the new screens were ready, and we picked them up. Due to continued wind, rain, and cold weather, there was a delay of a few weeks before installation. Unfortunately, once installed, several screens still did not fit properly, and some were clearly the wrong size altogether. It appeared as though the same size screen was made for windows that were originally different sizes. I paid over $350 during the first visit and was then required to pay an additional $300+ to have the work redone. When I tried to explain the discrepancies to Patty, my concerns were dismissed due to the amount of time that had passed. In the end, I am out more than $600, with screens that still do not fit correctly. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated. We have done business with this company--both personally and professionally--for over 20 years. Sadly, after this experience, that relationship has ended. Not a happy customer, and we will not be returning.
