Below poster review is accurate. There is little water…read morepressure in the bldg. I can hardly fill my kitchen sink and the kitchen water is luke warm. The bathroom water is hot but not much pressure. It takes 20 min to fill the kitchen sink. Either old plumbing or too many residents. Gross when considering if your are using dishwashers or washing machines. I wont use the dishwasher because can not possibly be enough water pressure and hot water for dishes to be sanitized. Though the amount of renters in apartments has got worse. Doubt they are even on the lease.......Its almost as if someone puts ads on craigslist or something to out rooms and everyone lives in the apartment. I dont know but its strange situation. They made the place look nice from the outside but its got alot of problems.

But the extensive construction needed to bring the building up to code makes apartments uninhabitable from Monday through Friday. Church next door then has loud, day-long revivals on Saturday and Sundays. There is also frequent resident turnover. For the most part, people are quiet, but wealthy local parents occasionally rent apartments for their kids, eg. Underage drinking, loud fighting, etc. until 3am. There are better places for this price in the area.

Disaster have struck early on when my key didn't work on the 1st of two doors to enter when I was moving in. The super answered and was over within 20 minutes. This quick service was indicative of the treatment I received during my entire year renting at this building. Raquel and Marisol are both responsive to email, and respond quickly to any issues (i.e. my drain was clogged, and they sent the super to my apartment within 24 hours of contacting them about it). The apartment was in good condition when I moved in, so I honestly didn't face many problems. There is also a lot of closet and storage space. The apartment was comfortable and came at a fair price compared to other Upper East Side rental properties. The air conditioner and heater both worked well. I only moved out as my girlfriend is in a subsidized building, so it made sense to move in there. Otherwise I would have happily signed on for another year, and likely more. Management was understanding and helpful with the move out process. They provided an email which detailed the procedures I needed to take to receive my full security deposit, and answered all my questions. Overall, I had a very good experience, and I would recommend renting at this location.

They do nothing to stop the rats and roaches that live in the walls of my building. At night time it's like the rats are having a party. Take a look at the picture of one that was caught. I've called 311, and then HPD came by, but nothing was done. I have been in court with them for the past 2 years and have gotten nowhere. They keep the buildings unclean. Don't rent from them, because rats will be your roommates.

Without getting into details, the work was not done the way it was promised to be done, and the Spanish speaking crew conveniently pushed the "misunderstanding" button when asked what happened. Actually, it was pure sloppiness and carelessness. Or they are very good at pretending to understand English. Anyway, I had to make another trip to pick up the chair after they fixed it, and that was pretty frustrating since I don't live close by. If you chose to work with them, my suggestion would be to have some kind of recording of what they are promising to do.

I would NEVER have released my sofa to this company, which is what my moving company did, ignoring my directions to deliver it to an upholster recommended to me knowledgeable in antique restoration. I informed the owner of Upholstery Decorations that I had not given my consent to release it to him (Raoul Torres), had no contract with him, but if they wanted to submit an estimate I would review it. They did not, but they emailed photos of my pale, spotless sofa with a large stain on the back and several more revealing a dark, viscous liquid that had been poured over it. My contracted upholsterer attempted to retrieve my sofa but was prohibited because of an "open invoice" for $1,000! The "work" involved was despoiling my sofa and removing the cover. I had considered selling it, but impossible now. I still do not have my sofa and I am communicating with other equally distressed/angry customers. Read less
