Good Quick Honest work! They have Certified Master Mechanics for my Mercedes, but they do work on all vehicles. All the work I have had done here has been done very well. After falling in love with and buying a 2001 Audi TT and two god-awful experiences with the sharks known as Audi dealership repairmen, it was a miracle that we found Chuck (Charles) and Harbor Auto Center -- a mere 1/4 mile from our house. My TT is a driving machine, but one that slowly needed to be mechanically rebuilt, and Chuck has been honest, professional and knowledgeable, at about half the price of a dealership. No matter how many times I had the TT towed into his shop (too many to talk about without pain), he made time and addressed and repaired the issue. Even when a major axle issue occurred once again after repair, Chuck worked until he figured out the cause, fixed it and there was never a question I would be charged another penny. I know I'll be seeing more of Chuck, his lovely wife and his crew, and it's a measure of how much trust I have in them that I don't even mind. read more

My husband and I have taken our cars to Harbor Auto for the last five years and have always been over the moon with their work and service. The owner and head mechanic Chuck calls me personally to talk to me about my car and options that I have if I need a repair. On top of this, there was one time in particular when I asked the office manager if she could recommend a good car detailer in the area. She gave me a few recommendations, but when I came to pick up my car the next day, she had personally cleaned my car inside and out, upholstery included (and I have 4 kids, so this was no easy task!). Whenever my friends are looking for a mechanic, I recommend Harbor Auto, because I know that they will not only get quality work, but exceptional service as well. read more

WORST EVER, charged me over $700 for a tune-up i did not even need, drove 1 mile and car broke down, I returned back to the shop and the owner Chuck treated me so bad I just took my car and left still broken, just accepting the loss. read more

Second time there and im done,I call for a price on some suspension labor got it, set a appointment 12 days later,drop it at 8 am get a call at 3:30 pm telling me its done?nope... they tried to double the price.I gave them a second chance because had some break work done,I show up to pay and waalaa it was like $300 more then the estiment (i basically shamed the mechanic with the fact they didn't call to approve the additional work and they knocked a bunch off )The work was done right, I just think they pull this trick often and people just pay up...SMH read more

Highway robbery...121.00 for oil change and new wiper blades. Gave me premium oil, which I did not ask for, in a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Just a ridiculous price and they act like I need to specify NOT to be given premium oil. Just taking advantage clearly, will not be back. read more

Absolutely horrible. After 1,000 dollars my car runs even WORSE than it did when I brought it in. They ended up fixing things that didn't even need to be fixed and now I am having more problems with what they so called "fixed". Money down the drain and now my car is in worse shape than before. Do NOT take your car there! read more

Would never go back. Met with owner Charles to do a repair per a insurance claim. Charles was very nice and took lots of time with us and even met with our claims ajuster to get more money for the repairs. Car was fixed quickly and in good working order. Problem was they made unathorized repairs in the amount of $160.00 and hid the costs in the middle of the insurance claim bill. They also billed us for a replacement of a part that was not broken. When I discovered the uncovered/ unauthorized charges Charles and his wife told us they had to be made in order to make the authorized repairs and that they had told this to the insurance company and they had refused payment. We paid them out of pocket and after several days of investigation from us and the insurance company we discovered they had lied. The repairs did not have to be done and Harbor Auto had never requested payment or authorization from the insurace company and had just scamed us out of $160.00 plus dollars. They never expected us to catch the extra charges. Beware, make sure you get what you pay for. read more
