My spouse was not happy with the product, or the local customer service, so requested a refund. We have been waiting now for over three weeks and cannot even get Ms Clark to return our calls. I have now requested Corporate Customer Service to intercede. This is a considerable amount of money as anyone who uses hearing aids knows. It should not take an act of Congress to get this done in a timely manner.

In an effort to increase my range of motion my knee was bent so far that two of the three layers of stitches were ripped out . I didnt know at the time what happened, I just knew the pain was fierce. It is not repairable and it limits my activities. Knee replacements are costly and the recovery is difficult. I can no longer go on long hikes or climb steep stairs . I had seen an ad in the Times Colonist featuring two ladies at Hear Inc. in Brentwood Bay and Saanichton. I called and explained the problems and was so happy to get an appointment booked quickly. Dave had already had a bad experience with a large company in Langford who told him he would need to wait 5 months for hearing aids - so it was great to get a second opinion from Hear Inc so quickly. We met with Donna(the Owner of Hear Inc) who tested the ears, made recommendations, supported us with paperwork, set Dave up with temporary hearing aids that worked right now, taught us how to change the batteries, insert them in the ears and more. At the end of the appointment - THAT SAME DAY, Dave walked out able to hear again!!! That is amazing! I took him home where he met his wife and mine and we all started to chat. I asked his wife to say a number between 1 and 100 - she said 50 in a quiet voice and Dave heard her clearly for the first time in months and said 50 out loud to the group of us. How did you heart that she said? "I can hear again - I am wearing hearing aids right now" Dave said. They couldn't believe it. Me neither - we received Service Excellence that was well beyond our expectations and I want to yell it from the rooftops! The bottom line: If you need hearing aids, contact Hear Inc and get proper hearing support from the best professionals who know their stuff. Donna - you were fantastic and I want to tell everyone about Hear Inc. Great customer service isn't all that common anymore and I can't imagine any company doing a better job than you did! What I found and experienced was professionalism, friendliness, and an excellent product for my deteriorating hearing. In addition, when an update, cleaning, and some minor repairs were needed the work was done promptly and at a reasonable cost. I live on Pender Island, and anyone who has the pleasure of living on one of the Outer Gulf Islands knows the challenges (and cost) of having to travel to Victoria for service. Donna sets up at the Pender Health Clinic every other week and I believe that she also visits Mayne and/or Galiano Islands. When I've needed new batteries or had a minor problem with my hearing aids I can access Donna's service 5 minutes from my home. Not to detract from the national companies that have offices in Victoria, but I prefer to support a local, independent business. Donna is a professional audiologist and the owner of this small company and I am more than happy with my hearing aids, now 5 years old, and Donna's service.

I was not all that impressed with the first two. I was hopeful that number three would be the charm. It was! My first priority was quality of the output of the hearing aids. Second, I wanted caring, competent, and friendly service--at a reasonable price. Side note: the second hearing center I visited was manned by a gentleman whose previous employment was lumber supervisor. He was now a "hearing aid specialist." At Anacortes Hearing Center (AHC) the owner/operator has a PhD in audiology and has years, if not decades, of experience. During the process of learning about, testing and experiencing what the AHC had to offer, I knew I was in the right place. I ended up buying a pair of Oticon aids. And while the hearing devices are exceptional (of all the units I tried), the Oticon was light years ahead of the others. I did road test multiple devices at the first two locations. The first location let me wear two different pairs of aids for a couple of weeks. The second wanted payment up-front for me to wear them home. Honestly, I was not at all impressed with number two. Spending a lot of money and wanting to get the most for my dollars is a big deal. I was happy that I did the weeks of research. It paid off in spades. I especially like that when my cell phone rings the voice is right in my ear--and private. The software, too, is exceptional. But the service I received from Dr. Kennedy and her assistant, Lindsey, was absolutely fabulous. I could not ask for more. Dr. Kennedy was dedicated to getting my situation right. And she did. Whether you are going to do the tedious research or just want to go into one good place and "git er done," look no further. I hope this review helps you.

She explained my hearing results clearly, answered every question, and showed what felt like unlimited patience as we evaluated options. She provided two different demo sets of hearing aids--and made it clear she was willing to continue with whatever testing or comparisons I needed. They were very knowledgeable and through this specific third party insurance he was eligible for new hearing aids (the last place said every 5 yrs when it was actually every 3 yrs). My dad is very happy with this new clinic. Not only did they get him some new top-of-the-line hearing aids that are 100% better than his last set, but they educated him extensively on the care and maintenance of the new hearing aids. Very friendly, customer service is top shelf and my elderly dad has never been more happy about his hearing aids. They also have such a cute clinic dog that is very friendly and loves to play with her balloon while you wait. Love love love this place and how well they attend to my dad and his hearing needs and any questions he has.

I do not recommend the services provided by this Audiologist. Their website states they will look…read moreinto insurance benefits regarding coverage on behalf of the customer. After services rendered, I found this to be a gross misstatement. They declined my request to submit a claim on my behalf even though they were paid in full at the time of service. They flat-out stated that insurance providers don't cover services for audiology testing and that they wouldn't submit a claim for that reason. In fact my provider does, but they were lazy and wouldn't bother to check. I said I would submit the claim myself, but efforts to obtain the necessary medical codes and support documentation were met with resistance and rudeness by the front desk clerk. My impression was that this business is inexperienced with providing insurance claims for their customers and did not have the general knowledge of current claim practices or protocols. Nor did they appear to even care. They provide an extreme disservice to all their customers, especially Seniors who are generally unable to navigate the complex claim process on their own.
