We settled on the Halloween one, because my kid loves all things Halloween; for $15 it did feel a little overpriced but I don't know where they get all their stuff from and cost of everything has gone up so maybe I'm a bit biased. Coolers and coolers full of unique soda's. We picked 2 up and their flavors were definitely on par with a craft soda. I even saw Bob Ross on one can. Along with a Duff can! My friend recommended the Sailor Moon ones too and said the one she got was pretty tasty! I am a Canadian-Polish who is proudly Canadian, yet I would never tolerate any signs of ugliness towards non-Polish clients at that store. I go there often enough to assure any one who'd ask me that the clients who are not of Polish extraction are treated very politely, as they should be. Yes, the store sometimes turns into a little agora of Polish gossip and friendly banter, but this is quite common: all these small "ethnic" stores are alike, be it African, German, Greek, Indian, Italian, Pakistani - you name it. As for the products sold there: We have never experienced any problems. We do not eat pork so I cannot vouch for their pork-based cold cuts, yet they have chicken and turkey items, which are always fresh and excellent. We also like their preserves, pierogi (pierogi is already plural, no need to say "pierogies" :-) ), and yummy chocolate products. It is a great little store that could. The first ring I tried was meh, but the second ring was sour and greenish in color and I ended up spitting the meat out and throwing it in the garbage. One might think its pricey but you get what you pay for. The freshly roasted nuts are amazing. Try the cheese cashew or the corn nuts or the smokey almonds...all delish crunchy and healthy. Last time I was there I sampled many nuts and the coffee and then I bought some freshly roasted coffee beans....now I have that good coffee at home and love it. Tons of parking right outside. They had preserved mandarin rind sold like dried mango might be, in long sugary strips and other variations of sweets and snacky food that were foreign to me. The great thing about China town, which surprised me, is that most of the shops in the area are open until 7 or later, which is pretty cool, when the rest of the cityâs shopping areas seem to shut down at 5 p.m.
