Solid place overall. If you have a frozen yogurt craving this place will scratch the itch. When we went they were having a little issues with their card reader so it took a minute to actually pay. We will probably come back since there aren't too many frozen yogurt places in the neighborhood, but some other places come to mind for me when I think of really great frozen yogurt.

503 33rd Ave San Francisco, CA 94121 ( near Geary Blvd) Happy Yogurt is a full service frozen yogurt (fro-yo) place in San Francisco's Richmond District. I discovered this place thru Yelp, and I wanted to go check it out. I was there on a Sunday evening at 7pm. The front entrance was blocked off with a table. The fro-yo flavors were posted on the door, and pictures of the toppings were on the table. I asked the lady why they run the shop like this, and she said "Covid." Well, there's nothing wrong with being careful. The problem with fro-yo places is people come in and touch everything. Here, they serve it for you. June 2024: Price per ounce= 69 cts/oz Happy Yogurt serves your fro-yo and toppings for you, and then you pay by the ounce. I can guess you lose alot of business this way. Some fro-yo fans have alot of fun building their own fro-yo creations. I asked for Mango and Vanilla, 50/50 mix, half full, with Lychee Balls. My fro-yo was very good. Super icy and with a thick texture. Very slight chalky taste, and a little tart. The Mango flavor was good. The Vanilla was rich and creamy. Service/ Value: 69 cents/oz is cheap. I have reviewed 20+ fro-yo places around the SF Bay Area, and the current avg price is 70-79 cts/oz. Plus, it's full service. My half full cup was $8.14. I didn't ask about the tare (cup) weight deduction. Atmosphere/Parking: Decor is old and outdated. Can't go inside to look at toppings up close. Hard to find parking. I parked a block away at the high school. The curb in front is a bus stop. It's good frozen yogurt. I don't mind the full service style. If I'm in the area, I might come back.

$8 for both

Cute little yogurt shop with 4 dispensers. Today the flavors were tart, strawberry, cake batter, and salted caramel popcorn. It looks like a family owned business and the owner was very nice. It was quiet because it was a windy typical sf day. Toppings were plentiful, and they had fresh fruit even though that's pretty expensive these days. My favorite toppings were 7 kinds nuts, marshmallow sauce, and cheesecake. They had the usuals like almonds, popping boba and graham cracker crumbs. There aren't a lot of yogurt places near my place on 11th and this was worth the trek!

We got a flyer on our car for 10% off so I decided to try it. I got the original tart with logan, peach, lychee, kiwi, strawberry and fruit jelly on it. With the 10% off it was a little less than $3. Not a bad deal. The cashier was really nice and it's close to my house. I hope they'll get more fruit toppings, but I'll definitely swing by next time a fro yo cravings hits!

I got lucky and was able to find metered parking spots near the intersection of Buchanan St and Sutter St (free on Sunday). [Atmosphere]: Matcha Cafe Maiko is located on the first level of Kinokuniya Mall. This is mostly a takeout only spot with no indoor tables and limited chairs available. [Menu]: Most visitors come here for the matcha soft-serve ice cream. The shop also offers the Golden Sho-Gun 24K gold soft-serve ice cream. Other items include sundaes, parfaits, lattes, cream foam lattes, and teas. *** Soft Serve Ice Cream (Matcha, Cone - $6.95): Amazing ice cream - creamy and dense with a strong matcha flavor. *** This is a fantastic matcha ice cream shop - two big thumbs up. Great for meeting friends, dates, picking up birthday or party cakes or ice cream, just don't forget to grab a paper number as soon as you arrive! Their selection is insane - so many flavors, lots of tropical, tons of mainstays (their oreo is fantastic), no cookie dough surprisingly, but the flavors and toppings are just so, so good...it's like time traveling back a few decades when it was simpler and ice cream was enough to make anyone happy, at least for awhile). Lots of non-dairy options too for those who need them. The people working here are always friendly and they always have good suggestions or a sample right away for the kids to keep the line moving but also happy. The key word, I've realized, is "happy." Mitchell's specializes in making everyone happier than when they arrived - every time.

Thankfully, they had plenty of cashiers working, so the line moved much faster than I expected and I was out the door within ten minutes. I ended up getting a tub of durian and mint oreo. I know they have an actual name for that mint oreo, but naturally, that information has completely escaped me. Either way, both flavors were really good. Despite how busy it looked when I arrived, the service was quick and efficient. It was definitely worth the stop, especially on a hot October day, and I can see why this place stays so popular. I'd gladly come back and try a few more flavors next time.

Nestled in the heart of Japan town's shopping center, right next to the bookstore- Sophie's crepes is. Very small bistro seating is available, but this place gets pretty busy. They have an extensive menu of both simple and layered flavors. The crepes here are thin and crispy, and come in a very cute crepe holder when served. I always get the strawberries and banana with Nutella, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The crepe won't last long, you'll eat it right up. My partner opts for a strawberry and whipped cream option, with raspberry jam- simple in comparison to my order. Sophie's is always our starting point in Japan town, and once you've placed your order, you cannot revise it. Make sure you hold onto your number, you'll need to provide it when your number is called. Enjoy, a must try in SF; even if you just go to Japan town for this one thing, trust me, it's worth it.

The shop is easy to find and on the smaller side with limited tables inside but there's more seating outside. Customer service was friendly and adequate. I We opted to order the mixed fresh fruit crepe and it was great and not overly sweet. It included whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and some pieces of kiwi, banana and strawberry. The crepe itself was light and had a good flavor. I do wish the fruit pieces and ice cream were more evenly distributed but it was a nice sweet treat. I was hoping they would include more berries too. Also, the crepe can be messy to eat, so definitely grab some napkins. Otherwise, I recommend visiting Sophie's Crepes for a solid dessert. I'd like to return and try one of their savory crepes!
