Cathy and Paul provide Greater Tehachapi and Los Angeles dogs a place to vacation in a cage free country setting, when their owners cannot take them along somewhere.
I chose them for this very reason and we have been happily taking our dogs to them for 5 years. Cathy and Paul live and breathe dogs, and they or other family members stay with them 24 hrs. They have always been very professional and very friendly whenever we have dropped off and picked up our dogs. They do keep a closed facility, thereby maintaining a good atmosphere for the dogs. I call ahead so they know about when I am going to arrive, and when I get there I stay outside calling again telling them that I am there. They have given one of our dogs, that has needed it, very special attention, as he is mostly a people oriented dog. Cathy even kept him in the bedroom with her at night. They have opened a new facility in the last few months, which they are still developing. They have made a very large outdoor play yard for the dogs with various interesting features for dog enjoyment. I know they have done some very important rescuing of dogs in Tehachapi who were in dire conditions. Cathy is also a very good dog groomer. I take the dog to her early in the day and the dog can have a play time with other dogs while waiting to be groomed. Kathy is very good at handling sensitive dogs who might not do well at other groomers. Cathy was able to groom a dog of a friend whose previous groomer could not handle, saying "it was a piece of cake." read more
