On 1/25/23, I had to work late and stopped at Happy Teriyaki on Federal Way in Boise for take-out. This was my first time visiting this business. I was a bit skeptical because I knew it was a franchise with 10 Idaho locations, but it was on my way back to the office and I always like to try new things. I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Happy Noodles with Chicken ($12.95), which is Chicken on a bed of Yakisoba Noodles. Other protein options are beef or pork. I was drawn to this dish because Yakisoba isn't on many menus in Idaho. In fact, the first time I ever had it was before it was on any local menus, and I had to make it myself from scratch. The service was excellenot. My order came out fast. It was steaming hot and I could tell from the heft of the bag that it was generously portioned. It made two meals for me. I like that it had a large portion of chicken. The noodles were deliciously, seasoned and perfectly cooked. This is my kind of "fast food." My five star review is based solely on this dish because it's the only one I've tried. It was excellent! And it's the best Yakisoba I've had in Boise to date. Highly Recommended!!!

After driving for 12 hours needed something other than road snacks. I am so happy this appeared in my GPS. was perfect and healthy. Delicious food and friendly service. Exactly what I needed.

Happy teriyaki was an awesome way to end my trip to Idaho. We were originally informed about them from some of the employees at Jackson Group Peterbilt. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and a side of shrimp tempura. The tempura was really good but it really doesn't look appealing as they are pretty thin. I will say it tasted great though. The teriyaki and steamed veggies were cooked very well. There is a lot of sauce at the bottom so if you don't like it too salty, be cautious of stirring it up too much! All in all, excellent lunch spot and the staff was very friendly as well.

Quick and tasty. Easy to pick up a meal, and a nice change from sandwiches and pizza.

Located in a shopping center mall. Price was right but serving size was very small. The teriyaki chicken was good but not amazing.

They are all spectacular. My daughter had the creamy onion our first. It was Gobsmacking delicious. The sweet and spicy garlic is good too. Of course, the most famous sauce is Yangnyum. Yesterday my wife ordered the lunch box boneless and I ordered the tofu. NOTE: Items are made to order so put your phones down and have a conversation with fellow diner. Our dishes arrived hot and excellently plated. The server brought us our side and provided a recommendation. There's music playing in the background and you can hear conversations from other diners but that was okay. The bathroom is to the left of the register and one of the nicest bathrooms I've visited. Big fan of Paddles Up and Naked Fins (both great poke shops). Noticed that this new Fish Poke was open and decided to give them a shot. My stomach currently hates me for this decision. One would think that any place serving raw fish would have the freshest fish on a Friday, right? Well, not the case with this place. Sat down and starvingly ate a few bites of my poke bowl. Something didn't feel (warm, soft and kinda chewy) or taste right in my mouth. That's never a good sign when eating raw seafood. Uncovered the fish in my bowl and saw that is was slimy, raw but warm, and very clearly far from fresh. I wish my stomach has the ability to throw it up right there on the spot. Sadly, it doesn't. So I had to wait a little while for my butt to do the job. And do the job it did. Fish Poke falls very short in ways other than serving unforgivably expired fish. They scoop toppings with a teaspoon. Literally. So if you get edamame beans on your bowl, one scoop = about 5 beans. Not kidding. They also don't know the difference between pico de gallo and cheap canned, soupy salsa. Cucumber slices were mushy and translucent- they looked and felt like they had been frozen then thawed out. It was very odd. I'd expound more on what else sucks about this place, but I, no joke, have to run yet again to the toilet to s#!t my brains out. Fish Poke will probably be out of business by the time you read this review anyway. Thanks Fish Poke!

I go to Naked Fins many times a month so that was my primary comparison locally. This location has awesome selection in fish. They definitely beat Naked Fins in that, but at Naked Fins you can get a larger serving for the same or less money. The flavor here was good. I'd return if I was showing a friend a new place they've never been to, but unfortunately in my opinion Naked Fins is the better choice for the time being. Who knows, this place just opened so they could easily make some changes and be better.
