I thought I would get superior quality and I like the idea of supporting a local photographer rather than a chain. I looked at Hanke's online portfolio. The pictures were beautiful so I gave them a call. The woman I spoke with over the phone was very sweet and professional. The photo session itself went fine although she seemed to struggle with getting good pics of a toddler. My main issue is: I think this whole experience was kind of a rip off. For $900 I received 1 8x10, 2 5x7, 3 4x6, and 8 wallets of 1 pose. A DVD labeled with a misspelled last name and 1 framed montage(?) of 6 poses in a cheap black frame. The pictures themselves were nothing special. The staff was very nice and professional and I'm sure these prices are normal for the industry, I was just not impressed with what I got for the money I paid and would not do it again unless I had a lot of money to throw away. If the pictures were spectacular I think I would have felt differently, but honestly I like the pics I had taken at Flash for his 18 month milestone way better than these...and I got twice the pictures at half the cost.

They'll be glad to "allow" you to buy an extra package or pay $15 for a "yearbook fee". :( Write your principal if you get bad pictures! These people won't do anything for you without pressure from the school. I sure will.... We deserve better!

Everything was going good until we started looking at out photos on the big screen. I told our photographer that we were only looking to do the coupon package today. Her attitude complete changed and she got short with us. We picked the photo we wanted for the package and was told the price. I walked up to the register to pay and was told it would be an hour for our photos to be ready. We left to go to lunch and started talking to my husband about the price. It was more than we were thinking. So when we got back I asked about the price. I was told there is a $9.99 surcharge if you only order the package. Nowhere was that printed. I took the photos out to the car to look at with my husband and noticed the CD was not in the envelope that came with the package and there was something red and sticky all over the envelope. So I went back in to get the two items taken care of. When I asked about the CD I was told the computer auto prints everything that goes with the package. So I asked her to print it for us and she rudely said that she cant because the photos have been deleted. I told her it was Bull Shit and went back to the car. While talking to my husband he took the photos back in to her to get our CD that came with the package. When my husband came back out she was going to print the CD and it would be ready in about an hour! Wait I was told it was deleted and gone forever!!! So we decided the photos were not that great and just wanted our money back. I will never step foot in this place again.
