We waited two weeks for the service because they had van problems. The groomer did not remove the cat from the carrier. He said he was too aggressive. The same cat that the July groomer said was perfectly behaved. I bought several cat clippers and a Happy Hoody from Amazon and groomed him in our bathroom. I suggest saving money and time by learning to groom your kitties. In my opinion, Pack Leaders are inexperienced cat groomers. In response to the owner, Saladin was sedated before Pack Leaders took him in. The groomer said that he never uses any Happy Hoodies or gloves when working with cats. I strongly believe Pack Leaders should hire experienced cat-only groomers because even a laid-back cat will bite if it is hurt or handled the wrong way. If one groomer had no issues and another had problems, then something is wrong with the business or staff.

Our 15-month old Boston Terrier, Skippy, has always had a fun, loving and ENERGETIC personality…read more While a great dog, Skippy was too excitable, too jumpy, too mouthy, wouldn't come when called, and not overly responsive to the training we attempted at home during the first year of the pandemic. We enrolled Skippy in the 19-day residency program with hopes that we could better integrate Skippy into our active family, which includes young kids. Blake and the team were very professional and responsive throughout the entire process. I was initially hesitant with the training techniques, but I came to understand and embrace them after multiple discussions with Blake. During the 19-day residency program, we could see the strides that Skippy was making. After pickup and our own "training," we worked hard over the following weeks to make sure Skippy's training stuck and that the strides we saw online came through at home. Today, Skippy is able to take part in all aspects of family life, in and out of the home. He is well behaved, able to remain calm when needed (while still being his energetic fun self when it is time for that), and consistently follows all of his on and off leash commands. He sits, goes to down, comes when called, drops items on command that he would chew previously, walks perfectly on leash, doesn't jump on our kids or others, and has very good manners and a calmness that we rarely saw before. Our relationship with Skippy, which was very good before, has hit a new level. He is an even more-beloved member of the family now, and we owe a lot of that to the Prodigal Pooch team. I would add that we definitely put in the work to develop and reinforce the training at home, so I would really recommend this program for those that are serious about following through. If we get another dog one day, we will definitely be working with the Prodigal Pooch.

We spent two hours talking about my goals as a dog owner, Blake's approach and method as well as getting to know my dood, Duck. I was ready to move forward before our call even ended. I knew Duck would be in good hands even beyond training as he's in home, there are only 4 dogs in residency at a time, etc. I also like to think that Blake obliged my friend & I when he allowed our pups to complete their residency together. After 19 days with Blake, Duck is calm, attentive, walks freely on his leash, knows all his commands (voice and hand), and bless Blake & Kelly for doing the Lord's work in helping Duck get through crate anxiety. So it starts with the evaluation day. They really did evaluate him. They told me details about him that they wouldn't have known without having the expertise and knowledge to truly understand the dog. They took their time going over the evaluation with me. They keep them in small groups of 5 dogs max, not in indoor rooms with large groups of dogs like some other day cares do. And the dogs get outdoor play as well, weather permitting, of course! Human to pup ratio is great, so they all get a lot of loving all day. Rather than long playtimes less times per day, they do shorter but more frequent playtimes. They work on exercising them physically and mentally. Primo comes home tired, like a kid that's played all day with his friends! I love it! Whatever commands your pup knows, if you want, they will incorporate them with your pup during playtime. Primo is thriving here. One time when I was picking him up, his handler was leaving for the day she loved on him and said good-bye, and he followed her as if he was going with her, and I was standing right there! He obviously loves the handler, and that just warms my heart. They celebrate holidays, do picture taking and make homemade treats for your pup. The staff is AMAZING. I don't have the words to express how AMAZING they are. They love what they do and it shows. fido fido is always training the staff keeping up on all things dog; that is something that I haven't heard from other day cares as I've researched where would be best for Primo. I can't imagine bringing Primo to day care or boarding anywhere else. It's Primo's family and home away from home. fido fido is the BEST hands down!!!

I always call and speak with a rep, and they are always cheerful and confirm my appointment. But twice now, I've arrived only to be told by the front desk clerks that they have no record of my appointment. The first time this happened was during our initial visit, where I had to spend 15 minutes explaining to them that the date and time were wrong between their text messages and emails. The second time was today. I was on a waiting list and got a call in the morning, all excited, saying they had an opening. I go in, and after waiting 10 minutes for them to figure out why my appointment wasn't documented, I then waited another 20 minutes for the vet tech who never showed up because they were behind. Why even ask me to come in if you can't manage your schedule? I have a job and another doctor's appointment to get to, so this was incredibly inconvenient. I ended up leaving and telling the front desk staff to cancel both appointments. Turns out, they only canceled one and kept the other despite me specifically asking them to cancel both. I called the hotline to try and resolve this and had to escalate to a manager. She told me she couldn't cancel the appointment and had to call the office directly. She ended up hanging up on me, and when I called back, another representative said there was no record of a future appointment for my pup. The incompetence here is unbelievable. I still haven't received a confirmation email that my appointment was canceled. I will never bring my pup back here again, and I would strongly advise against dealing with them. Highly unprofessional and disrespectful of your time.

We have a little dog (we had to downsize dogs when we moved back intown) and she's got really curly hair that mats really easily. We have tried to keep up with it, but she was looking a mess. This place is within walking distance and the ladies are great - they don't do credit cards, but they have a real knack for what they do. We got our dog back clean, trimmed and happy. Hopefully we will keep up with the mats in the future, but's good to know we have a solution in our back pocket.
