I have four miniature Australian Shepherds, and I only trust Happy Paws Grooming in Morrison to take care of them. I've tried other grooming salons, but none can match the quality of Happy Paws. Here's why: 1. Three of my Aussies are older, and as they've aged, their coats have developed fine hair knots in the undercoat. Happy Paws Grooming expertly and gently removes these knots. 2. The groomers are incredibly patient with my eldest dog, who needs breaks because he can't stand for too long. 3. Although my Aussies are nervous about visiting the groomer or the vet, they are never distressed when I pick them up from Happy Paws. 4. Booking and paying online is quick and efficient. 5. They send text reminders for bookings and notify me if holiday slots are filling up. If I have trouble booking online, they text or call to assist. 6. They even send birthday text messages to my dogs! 7. Happy Paws makes my dogs look, feel, and smell amazing. The team at Happy Paws is wonderful and passionate about their profession. I understand that most people may not have the time or care to read a lengthy review, so let me summarize: 1) Happy Paw's Grooming is the best grooming facility I have ever encountered (I'm old, so I've been to a lot of grooming places 2). Emerald did an incredible job, and there aren't enough adjectives to express my gratitude for finding her and Happy Paw's.3). They are genuinely compassionate and loving in their work, and aesthetically, do the best job! The best grooming facility around! Last takeaway in my consolidated review: you won't be disappointed. Emerald was wonderful with my dog, Puff. He had been living with my ex and hadn't been groomed in over three years. I realized, upon picking him up to take him to Happy Paw's, that he was in quite a state--he even had old and new dog poop on him! Naturally, I was embarrassed, but more importantly, I felt horrified and sad for Puff. When I mentioned to Emerald that I could clean Puffs poop up quickly to spare her from the mess and SMELL of his poop covered hair and butt. Emerald was sincerely nonjudgmental. All she cared about was helping Puff; she reassured me not to worry and said she didn't mind handling it. I couldn't believe her kindness. This wonderful young lady follows her passion/bliss, and her compassion and grooming skills truly shine through. She recognized that Puff was miserable and needed help, and all she wanted to do was assist him without any concern for the mess. It was truly compassionate and genuine. I feel so fortunate to have discovered this grooming facility, especially since I chose it simply because they had availability that day to take Puff. Although it's over 10 miles away, Emerald has found a loyal customer in me, because I've never encountered such compassion for my pet at any grooming place, plus Emerald is undoubtedly the best groomer out there. Puff looks fantastic! Unlike those horror stories you see online about Pomeranians after their first shave, he looks wonderful. I am thrilled, and most importantly, Puff is happy too. There is no doubt in my mind that I will return; I can't see myself going anywhere else. Emerald did a fabulous job grooming Puff--he needed to be shaved down completely, and she was gentle and kind throughout the process. Puff is now like a new dog, acting like a playful puppy again and relieved to be free of all that matted fur and poop mess. The main reason I chose Happy Paw's is that they had the availability to groom Puff the day I was picking him up; I already knew he urgently needed to be groomed. I had just adopted a dog that needed groomed right away, they got him in quickly and did a good job, they changed me $101 with a 30% discount. He was matted and needed shaved. Before I took him there I went by Evolution, they looked at him and said they would do it for $60 but couldn't get him in for 2 weeks. I didn't ask the price when I took him to Happy paws, wish I would've, never dreamed it would be so much money. I was skeptical about using this grooming service at first after reading reviews. But I needed to get Leroy in because he was looking a bit like Chewbacca ... the lady that greeted me was super quiet and not talkative, but she was nice. It took about 4.5 hours to have a medium sized, cavapoo full groom. That's the normal with Leroy. The groomer did an absolutely amazing job. Leroy looks awesome! We recently took our two dogs to Purrfect Paws to get a quick nail trim. We were a little confused as the website and location we originally went to isn't the same location where the nail trim was done. Turns out the business on the website had closed but the groomer's number (listed on the website) is still active and she's moved. So... after learning we had driven to the wrong place (no longer in business), she gave us Purrfect Paws address and location. We arrived about 30 minutes before she ended her shift and were happy to finally be in the right place. I will preface my remaining remarks with the disclosure that I am not an expert in animal behavior. I do, however, know my dogs. That said, my partner and I are still struck by the lack of awareness or possibly knowledge of animal behavior and body language, particularly when the entire business focuses on working closely with animals. Our entire experience lasted maybe 10 minutes. We were never asked about the animals, any dispositions or physical challenges to be aware of. We didn't sign in. We didn't sign anything - except the credit card bill. Rather than acknowledging the very clear signs of fear (peeing on the floor) when they attempted to force our 75# hound mix onto the grooming platform, they instead took a dominant / aggressive approach and tried to force him to step up on the platform (as in three adults laying hands on him). Thank goodness we were there and after exchanging odd glances, my partner interrupted and requested to assist, as Beau knows and trusts us. Wow, what a concept. So, after coming into the gated area and using trust and patience, he stepped up with no problem. We should have known to stop then but thought, maybe that was a fluke. Instead of calming him as they clipped his nails, one staff member instead held his head and very forcefully patted and stroked (not a strong enough word here but I can't think of a better descriptor) his head. And, to my horror, two of his nails bled so badly that they had to wipe the floor several times of blood - from inside the grooming area to the small customer pickup area. His paw continues to bleed on the ride home and once there. No apologies were offered. We have nail clippers at home and to avoid clipping his nails too closely, we choose to use a groomer. Please reconsider Purrfect Paws for your nail clipping needs. read more

Happy Paws is the newly branded name of what used to be a well run grooming shop under the previous owners. The current operation is a complete joke on all levels. Here's what I experienced: Dropped my doodle off at 10am, was promptly told we would be upcharged because his hair hadn't been cut in over 2 months. This was based on the owners on the spot look at our dog without any evidence. Was then told "we don't know when he'll be done and don't call because we're busy with other dogs. We'll text you when he's done at a TBD time" 7 HOURS later I hadn't heard from them so went to pick him up since they were about to close. They still hadn't cut our dog's hair, all that had been done was a bath, which of course they still charged us for. He had been sitting in a kennel for 7 hours, didn't get a haircut, and didn't tell us when/if he would be done. What kind of company operates like this? Long story short, don't bring your dog here unless you love the experience I just listed. The good news is this place won't be in business long so you likely won't have to worry about it. Don't just take my word for it, just look at the other list of one star reviews. read more

Police have my information?...That was funny. Apparently you like to call 911 on other customers too when they complain, and you are unwilling to budge and of course it escalates. If you took the time to calmly and nicely speak with someone when they're upset and offer something, anything you wouldn't lose so many customers. And I know you have, regardless of what you say. You should probably take a course on customer service. I initially called very calmly and YOU escalated it. You're rudeness, unwillingness to discuss anything, take an oz of responsibility and cutting off communications completely, gave me no other choice but to come in there and of course I was pissed. Any customer would have when they're left with no options. My father DID NOT say what I wrote (I never wrote anything) looked like a ransom letter, he said HIS OWN handwriting looked like a ransom letter, genius. It's also my business if I send anyone in to drop off and pick up my animals when I'm working. It's also my business how often I get my dog groomed. And you say ppl are not properly taking care of their dog unless they come in every 8 wks or you up charge?? Never seen a groomer do that in my life! She had no matting, no tangling nor was her hair too long. And her nails were recently clipped at the vet. My father told you exactly what I wanted, which you ignored. Why on earth would you ask him what blade he wanted? Esp when he had no idea how to answer that and you knew that. I've never been asked that. He's not the professional. His description was sufficient. You think you've gained business from mine or others' bad reviews? Our dear Carmelo went in with thick knotty-shagg. He's our adventure pup and spends a lot of time on the trail. Inevitably we cant keep up with his grooming and wait too long to go back in. Because of that, we hate to have him cut because he alway ends up shaved. *But* Happy Paws took the extra time to restore his coat to puppy-like soft Golden-Doodle fur with that signature curl. This is the second time we've had our two shih-tzus groomed here this year (2018). The first time, in February, it took less than an hour to get them both groomed and it was around $90. This included getting nail clippings for both shih-tzus and a pug. Today, it was $98 without getting the pug's nails trimmed and took over 3 hours. Apparently, because it had been more than 8 weeks since we brought them in the price was higher. We were not told about this price change before bringing them in and the staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable about explaining the price change. I usually groom my dogs myself but I can rarely reach the spot on their thighs. Apparently, a professional groomer can't manage this either. My 14-year-old also had some very small nicks on his tummy but that really isn't a big deal. I will not be bringing my dogs back here. read more

Very rude staff member...Brought my dogs in this morning for their 8am appointment. This appointment had been made when I picked them up six weeks ago after their last appointment. The gal (only person there) that checked me in stated that I was an hour early. I had the appointment card in my pocket and showed it to her with 8am appointment time. She said someone wrote it down wrong and stated that there was someone waiting outside because I was early!! I told her I would need to leave them now as I had an appointment to get to and could not bring them back at 9am. I asked her to call my husband's cell phone when the dogs were finished. She asked me to write his number on a card which I did. Five hours later, they had not called so I called to see if they were finished....I was told yes, they've been finished for a while we've been trying to text you. When I arrived, I asked what number they were texting as my husband had not received their message and they read me my home landline number!!! I mentioned that I had given the correct number to that gal and pointed at her. She made a comment which I could not hear however, the tone was very clear and it was nasty!! This review is based on one person's attitude which unfortunately has deterred me from ever going back!! I miss JoAnne (Purrfect Paws) and will drive a few more miles to be treated with respect and not have to make my dogs wait several hours in a kennel. I wish I could give this experience a -100! I want to note that I have taken my dog to this groomer before - but surely won't ever again. I questioned the extra fee they were trying to bill me for because it had been 3 months since I was there.... and things went downhill quickly from there. They texted me back saying I had thirty minutes to get my dog or they would bill me additional fees for being late. I left work and ran over to get my dog... I said I didn't agree with the charge and the lady at the front desk became absolutely belligerent. I asked to see my dog's haircut before I paid and she started whipping my (toy poodle) around and said I could see her from there. I asked that she hand me my dog so I could see her properly and she started screaming at me telling me I was trying to steal... she threw my dog roughly back in the kennel and told me I could call the police from outside the store. The police came and I got my dog back who was terrified and cowarding. Her top knot was a mess! Overcut in the front and not tapered in the back at all - and her ear was uneven which added to the disappointment of this whole experience. The officer said he wouldn't trust them to touch my dog again. I have never in my life been treated so horribly by ANY company and I have never had a groomer manhandle my tiny dog like a rag doll while insulting me (a returning customer and good tipper) EVER!!! I am absolutely DISGUSTED. Seeing other reviews and the owner/manager verbally attacking anyone who had a bad experience, only makes this even more disturbing. I would warn against using this groomer for several reasons. 1. Hidden fees without upfront notification 2. Almost impossible to communicate - they don't answer the phone they only text 3. Customer service is non-existent - I still can't believe this happened and I literally had to call the Sherriff to retrieve my dog! The way the lady at the desk manhandled my dog in front of me, gives me extreme concern as to how she was treated in my absence!!! I am looking for a new groomer, one with customer service skills, good communication, and one that doesn't abuse the animal in front of or behind the owner's back. read more

Terrible place if you have a doodle. The groomer told me to take my dog home to take out the mats myself or she would just shave him down where the skin would show. Even though they're open until 4:00, I was just informed that I'd have to pick my dog up by 11:30 or there would be a "late fee" of an undisclosed amount (it depends on how long I leave him there).
