I have always had long haired dogs and in my experience, most people don't know how to properly groom them (I learned this the hard way when my dog wound up with a mullet). Debby has been breeding and showing lhasa apsos for decades, so her years of experience really show in the quality of her work. She has gone above and beyond for me more times than I can count, from trying to teach me how to groom my own dog (who stubbornly refuses to let anybody touch him) to calling me the moment my skittish dog is finished. I recently adopted a new puppy, and she scheduled a day for me to bring him by when she could spend time playing with him and giving him treats in order to get him accustomed to being groomed. She is a dog lover through and through, and she makes my dogs look like movie stars and smell like flowers.

Our Bernese Mt. Dogs have been groomed by Klaudia since they were 4 months old. We were always…read morehappy with her services. The last time they went to Klaudia, things went very wrong. Our younger dog ended up at the Vet with a bloody nose and swollen, blood filled eyes. I'm not sure if dogs get concussions but he was very subdued and not like himself for nearly a week. Klaudia said he tripped over his leash but his injuries seemed more severe than that. She did take him to our Vet who fortunately is in the building next door. A month after that incident, our other dog began shaking his head violently. We eventually found a cotton ball buried deeply in his ear canal that Klaudia had left behind. We took him to the Vet where he was diagnosed with a severe ear infection. We were devastated to realize that a routine trip to the groomer caused both of our dogs pain and injury. Although our dogs are big, they are well socialized and well trained. We chose Klaudia to be our groomer because we thought she was the best. What happened to our dogs was unacceptable and we will not return.

Today, Ruby was a really brave girl and got her first grooming, ever. I always thought it would be unnecessary stress to have her groomed... but let's just say it was time! So, I called the Jedi dog whisperer (also the breeder and trainer and groomer for our dog moose) Shawna Davies and WOW!!! Wow wow wow, I can't understand why we waited so long now. Included is a before and after picture, but if you could smell this girl, she smells like a garden full of fresh flowers in the spring and she feels like a princess. Like, in terms of toys and treats, most pet places are fine and great, but in terms of self-grooming or baths, it's always a toss up it feels like. But Dogma was immediately welcoming and amazing. Our dog is a rescue and a little reactive, but the staff always know how to calm him and are patient and understanding. We feel a little bad about the fur (he's a husky/Akita mix) and always attempt to clean up our own mess, but every time we're stopped by the staff. Not in a "no, don't do that" sort of way, but always in a "oh, you guys already did all of that work bathing him. It's our turn now" sort of way. Every time they're always so amazing and you can tell they actually care. We've been coming to Dogma ever since and our scared little boy has never been so calm during a bath. 10/10
