Loved my pedicure! Really nice service and loved the massage. Super quiet environment which I appreciate

My friend and I wanted to get a last minute pedicure together so we walked in with no appointment - mind you this is July 2020 so COVID panic is still in the air. They were willing to accommodate us as best they could and offered to do one pedicure at a time, but we opted to come back in an hour so we could get our pedicures done together. We wasted some time around the area at stores like Vons then made our way back to the nail salon. When we arrived we were instructed to choose a nail polish color and then shown to a comfortable massage chair. The facility was very clean, water was perfect and hot, and the pedicure was incredibly relaxing. Our nail hosts were kind and asked us funny questions to make us feel comfortable. They also did an incredible job with a foot and leg massage, gentle exfoliation, and hot towels wrap. I really enjoyed my experience here and would hands down come back again. My nails were on point and my skin was soft and smooth afterwards. I also got to see the staff deep clean the chairs and surrounding area right after our pedicures and I was very impressed at how throughly they cleaned. Would definitely recommend visiting! read more

Service was great and my nails look amazing! A good deal for being so close to campus. My friends and I will be back!

This salon was so close and convenient to campus so I decided to get my nails done on a whim as a birthday treat for myself. I asked for ombré gel acrylics and I was pleased!! One of my gems bumped off and Vicky glued a new one on the next day with no problem. Will come back again read more

I was in town and wanted a quick mani/pedi. I found this place on Yelp and called to see what their availability was....they told me to come on in. I was greeted when I walked in and was instructed to pick out my colors. I could not find the nail color I wanted and was promptly assisted. Massage chairs and pedi altogether were great. My mani was meticulously done. She even started over on one of my nails because of something that did not look right. Revolving door of people. Great price. If I am ever in town again, I will be back. Bike parking out front. read more

Went on lunch break and nails turned out horrible. I was told to wait 15 minutes. There were 2 other people in there and 3 workers so I was confused as to why I was waiting but I didn't say anything which I now regret. Once I finally got someone didn't tell them it was my lunch break as I didn't want them to rush and make my nails look bad but it turned out I was 40 minutes late back to work AND my nails look bad. I declined the lotion and massage that comes with a manicure because i was already so late which wasn't his fault. I didn't tell them on purpose so my nails would look good which sadly my approach was unsuccessful. The workers seem nice they just seemed unpracticed. Like I said, he was not rushed and still did an unsatisfactory job I wouldn't suggest coming on lunch break just to save you from having to buy your coworkers insomnia cookies to make up for being late back to the office but I got a decent workout running back to the other side of campus! read more

Overall ok experience. Not a great selection of nail color options. There's not a sign posted with the prices which is odd. Was served by the lady in the first booth on the left, directly behind the counter. She did an awesome job at making sure my nails were even and looked as natural as acrylics can. The painting part was rushed and she did not attend to my cuticles. Overall, it's an ok shop and would maybe come back. read more

A SCAM! Take your money and run ladies, this is not the place to be!!! I went in with my friend to get our nails done for an upcoming event I got a full set of acrylics and a pedicure. The process was rushed, painful and unsanitary. Examples: 1)when filing, buffing and pushing back my cuticles I was cut she did not stop to ask if I was okay nor did she seem to care. 2)when applying my acrylics the nail tech worked in huge glops (1 per nail) and did not take her time shaping( I have pictures below). 3) the nail tech definitely used instruments for cutting and pushing back cuticles, that were used on previous clients, these instruments were not clean. Everything was DUSTY, I understand businesses get busy but there seemed to be no effort put towards even a quick wiping after each client. Got gel polish on my toes, and they sat me under the blow dryer for 5 minutes to "dry" the polish my toes are smudged (I have pictures) Polish and glue left on my fingers minimal attempts from the employee to remove it WARNING DO NOT GET THE SPARKLY SMALL STONES ITS $1 PER STONE = $5 PER HAND = $10 ADDITIONAL COST I PAID $98 FOR THIS please direct your attention to the pictures below these pictures are taken the day OF LESS THAN 24hrs LATER I ASKED FOR COFFIN SHAPED NAILS pictures on GOOGLE REVIEW read more

I, along with many friends, visited Happy Nails for pedicures on a regular basis in college. It's by far the best pedicure I've had outside of a spa. I wish I could find one as good closer to where I live now!! read more

It pains me to be so rude but I recently had the worst nail experience here ever. I graduated from Purdue a few years and while there my friends and I often went to this place for the basics (mani, pedi, waxing). We always had good to great service. I was on campus this weekend for my best friends' wedding and decided it was the most convenient place to go. The decor has really changed and not for the better. I was uncomfortable the entire time I was there because I felt that it was my tech's first time doing nails. I was shocked at how bad the length and shape were after she filed them and had to control myself not to grab the file from her. She was shaking the entire time I was in her chair and I kept trying to talk to her and make sure she was comfortable. Unfortunately, she cut me and I was bleeding a lot so I decided to leave and went to a different place. Sadly, this place needs an update on both the decor and sanitary sides. I hope to see it change because it's in a good location for students and should be a really nice place to go. I can't honestly see why anyone would want to go there considering the place I ended up at was great and not far off campus. read more

BAD. Don't go there unless you wanna bleed from your nails. They scratched my effing acrylics off... who does that? They made my friend bleed too. read more

My mom and I had a Girls Day Out yesterday and started off at Happy Nails. I got the Miami pedicure and I would definitely suggest it. The sea salt scrub they use when doing it smells really good & makes your feet/legs feel even better! The technician was kind and conversational. Happy Nails - The finished product with designs ($5 extra) - Nail Salons Near Me - West Lafayette, Indiana

I've been a customer at Happy Nails for a couple years and just about every experience has been excellent. There's nothing like a pedi to get a girl in her happy place and this is my go to place for one! I prefer to have Tony as my nail technician - he does an excellent job and does wonders painting my one toe that has no nail lol. I will contribute to frequent this business for my pedicures as long as I'm in this area. read more

Happy Nails wasn't bad, but it wasn't too great either. I went in for a pedi last week and definitely was underimpressed. For the same price as other salons, I recieved less. No cuticle clean up, no deep massage, and no personality from the pedicurist. However, she did redeem herself by doing the best job on the french paint I've ever recieved. read more

I've been here three times and the first time they did an amazing job. Second time, I was given an inexperienced person who had been working there one day prior to my visit. I was very unhappy with their work and I had to ask someone else to do my nails. Third time, I almost received the same person who did a horrible job the second time and requested a new person right away. The person who ended up giving me a pedi did an okay job, but I will not be coming back here in the future. I have been getting my nails done for about 13 years now and I know when I am receiving a good nail service. Happy nails is not the place. read more

I've received many a manicure & pedicure in my lifetime ... & although West Lafayette/Lafayette isn't the 'elite' place to get one's nails done, I would definitely recommend Happy Nails. Compared to the other salons I've been to in the area (specifically, 'V' & 'VS' nails), this one is far superior in quality and interaction with customers. PEDICURE: Get one here! At least with the manicurist I had! She was an older woman, perhaps in her 50s, and she gave me a 1 hour pedicure. It was the most pampered I've ever felt during a pedicure. NAIL POLISH SELECTION: A little lacking - a lot of the OPI colors are 'chunky' or thick from age and overuse. The salon desperately needs to re-order new polishes. However, the do have a wide array of different colors. SPACE: It's small, perhaps 4 pedicure massage chairs, so I'd recommend going on an 'off' day (not a weekend), and perhaps making an appointment in advance. Best for Purdue Students! Located right off campus, in the Chauncey Hill Mall. Probably the most convenient & 'best deal.' Easy to schedule a mani/pedi in between classes! read more

My first time visiting this salon: it took the elderly woman an entire hour just to remove my gel nails. Due to the language barrier, she left my broken nails jagged and rough after I had asked her to trim them down for me. Additionally, there were still traces of paint left on my nails when she was finished. As nice as she was, it was just a poor job all around and definitely shouldn't have taken as long as it did. read more

i hate leaving bad reviews but honestly i left this place so mad, i walked out with the ugliest nails that i spent $60 + tip on i had an appointment at 1 and they didnt start on me untill 1:30, i get it i understand people run behind no big deal, i had 3 nails to get soaked off before i put a new set on and i told him i want these nails soaked off and he said ok then tried to scrape them off with another nail tip, after they wouldnt come off he finally started soaking them at 1:40, went in very aggressive with the drill and nicked my finger while trying to get my 3 nails off, again i get it i understand people can be running late but my nails werent off to the point where we could even start my set until 2:00, a full hour after my appointment, i wasnt busy so i just kept on going, everything was going fine until it came time to paint my nails, as per the pics, these dots look nothing like the flowers i wanted, again i understand i specifically asked for smaller and different shaped nails, but cmon the dots arent even connected. walked out of there at 3:15 a whole 2:15 after my appointment time and $70 broker, ive been in and out places in 45 mins with better, cheaper, and more intricately designed nails, but sadly none of them are conviently located by campus read more

Happy Nails is ok, but is nothing special at all. Their services are definitely overpriced for the quality of their work. I feel like you are mostly paying for convenience since it is really the only place to go near Purdue's campus. I would say that I have walked out unsatisfied about 3 out of the 5 times I've been there. It really depends on who you get, but in general, the work is kinda messy and the nail polish chips pretty fast. It's ok for convenience, but I would try out some other places as well if you can to try and find somewhere that is more worth it for the money. read more

This nail salon is horrible now. First they water the nail polish down so bad you need 3-4 coats for it to look nice. Second, only the owner knows how to do nails correctly, the male tech is rough and the only time I went to him about 4 nails broke in a week. I came back each time and the owner tried to blame it on me. I complained and let the owner know it would be the last time I was coming there. Why spend $20 on nails that don't last and chip? It's plenty of other nail shops in Lafayette, unfortunately this is the only one so close to campus. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere, when I complained not 10 minutes after another woman came in complaining as well about nails not holding up. read more

THE BEST SALON I HAVE EVER GONE TO !!!! They are so nice and welcoming. I go there every time for my nails and get exactly what I want. This place is great! Their service is quick and they do a pretty good job with waxing, manicures and pedicures. This salon is decent for being the only nail salon actually on campus. They do great pedicures, but the manicure service is only good if the owner performs it. The male tech who works there is very rough and each time I have had him do my nail fill, I have had cuts throughout my cuticles. Ouch! I will only get my manicure from the owner now, even if it means waiting for her services. Additionally, they do a very great job on eyebrow waxing, and that service is reasonably priced. read more

The WORST experience EVER!!! I wish I could give a negative star!!! The owner is SUCH A MEAN AND IRRESPONSIBLE lady. It is not just because I am not satisfied about the nails, the main reason is that the ways she treats me is so rude and horrible! This is the first time in my whole life that leave a comment like this! I am the person that like giving positive reviews; if I don't like a store, usually I just won't comment it. BUT today, I feel like I really need to share my experience and hope that there won't be any more people to have the same experience as me! Ok, here is the story. I made an appointment for doing Gel today. At first, a man was doing Gel for me; then the lady(owner) came to us and yelled the man. I don't know Vietnamese, but I guess she was complaining that the man was doing so serious and slow. So she just took his job and started doing Gel for me. But she was doing so fast and even didn't sit towards me, and finished it in 5 mins! Then, I looked at my nails; it was so ugly! The color was on my skin for all of my fingers on my left hand! At first, I paid and didn't want to blame on her. But it is just so clearly ugly under the sun. So I went back to the store and wanted to take off the Gel. She said she would not refund me, and I said it is fine. I didn't argue with her about the refund because I just didn't want the ugly nails. HOWEVER, she started yelling me and arguing with me. And she never felt that she didn't do it well and tried to fix it. She just kept saying that my nails were fine and I was just making troubles to her. And then, SHE USED THE ELECTRONIC TOOL DESTROYING MY NAILS!!! I thought she was trying to take them off, but NO!!! She just ruined the nails and didn't take them off. Can't believe it right??!!! I am so shocked that she is an adult but is so immature, so irresponsible and SO MEAN! She just cannot admit that she is wrong and cannot face the things that she did wrong! I highly recommend that people who want to go to this store, go to another one!! There are many good nail salons in Lafayette!! Go to a store that respect their customers and the work!! read more

I have gotten my nails done a handful of times at Happy Nails. I have always been satisfied with my pedicures. My feet feel refreshed and the polish lasts a decent while. Recently I got a gel manicure there and the nail tech filled a few of my nails at an angle and the gel appeared lumpy and a few nails even had bubbles after. They ended up chipping, not even peeling but chipping at the tips, after a week. I will continue to get pedicures here but will go elsewhere for my gel manicures. read more

If I could give a zero star review I would but it's not an option. I was visiting from out of town one week ago and treated myself to a gel manicure which I have not done in a year because I am on a tight budget. This was a special treat to myself and I paid a lot of money for a gel manicure that started chipping off three days after I got it. I just called the company to try to get a refund and offered to send pictures of my nails so they could see that they really are chipped off and they hung up on me. They kept telling me to come back in and show them my nails. I kept trying to explain over and over and over that I live 3 1/2 hours away and although I cannot come to show them I could text or email pictures to get a refund. The manager was very rude and hung up on me. Very unsatisfied and disappointed and would never return nor recommend the salon to anybody. They do not stand by their work and they do not work with their customers. They clearly do not value their customers. Do not go here!!!! read more

I got the worst manicure I've ever had here recently. I went in with very nice long natural nails and by the time I left they were filed unevern, different lengths, and the paint chipped the first day. I had to actually take the file in the salon and file my nails down so they would be straight after she filed them all on a weird angle and then couldn't understand me when I was showing her that they were uneven. And I really am not one to complain but they were at like at 30 degree angle. I left with some nails really short to correct the unevern filing. I had to remove the polish on the seocnd day because it had chipped so badly. I will never go back there. read more

My Mom and I came here without an appointment, and were seated right away. We both got manicures. My lady didn't even put my hands in water. She didn't cut my cuticles, shape my nails, or use any lotion at all. She took 15 minutes to do my entire gel manicure and got it around my skin, and it's extremely hard to remove. My Mom didn't have her cuticles cut either, although she did get lotion. read more

Loved coming here and getting my powder polish done. First two times were great, but when I went to remove my powder polish the third time, the male technician who took them off RIPPED THEM OFF MY NAILS instead of soaking them off (EVEN THOUGH I ASKED HIM TO SOAK THEM). It was painful during, and after. This completely destroyed my nail bed and left my nails looking awful. It's been 3 months (almost 4) since then and my nails have JUST NOW grew completely out and started looking normal again. I am never going back there, and neither should you. read more

I've been here a few times and while their pedicures are decent, I always leave disappointed after a manicure. I had the dip powder done for the first time at this salon (I've done it often at other salons) and it turned out so sloppy and ridiculously chunky. She sped through the process and got the dip to adhere to my skin on my thumbs (ouch) and barely shaved the nails down- my nails look like beetle husks. On top of that, the woman who went before me had her nails done by the other (elderly) woman and had a botched job but couldn't stay and was quite upset also. I come here against my better judgement because it's so close to campus but unfortunately it's really not worth it :( read more
