Lam and Amy have been doing my nails for well over 5 years. Amy did this "ombre" set and gave me exactly what I asked for, even finishing the tips with an airbrush tool. They were absolutely beautiful! She is truly an artist! read more

First time here and I asked for a French Dip on my almond shaped natural nails that had old dip on them. I had Karly as my nail tech and she was really nice. Spent 1.5hr here and when I went to pay, the receptionist told me I owed $72. I didn't get a manicure and no tips were added to my nails as my natural nails are very long. It should've only cost $35 for dip on natural names, plus $5 for French, plus $10 for almond shape even though my nails were already almond shaped. I was told because I have long nails it's extra. $22 extra?! I understand paying for exceptional work, but these nails were splotchy and uneven. Disappointed customer. read more

I've visited every nail salon in the Lafayette area and could never find anyone or place that consistently did a great job until I went to Lam's! Bonus: Rosie really took great care of my mom who requires special accommodations because she's in a wheelchair. The entire staff made sure she could still receive a pedicure from her wheelchair. read more

This is my new favorite nail salon. I've been hesitant on finding a new place only because the last time I decided to "treat myself" the results came out horrible for the price I paid. I had talked the boyfriend into getting his first pedicure with me and the woman taking care of him was full of good laughs. It's a great environment, and Karly did an amazing full set. She was so patient and detailed making sure every step looked good to me. Everyone was very kind (even the other customers!) and efficient. I definitely recommend going here! read more

Recently moved to the area, was really nervous finding a new nail salon. I can be a bit particular and Lam's has been amazing. my nails last with minimal to no chips. I went out of my comfort zone this last visit, it required 10 different colors and never did staff make me feel like I was being " too much". The receptionist was so accommodating taking the list of colors from my phone, I even asked if it was too much and I could just do one color and she did not ever make me feel that I was a bother. My nails looked beyond amazing, it's not a shape I usually do, or colors I would ever do. read more

worst nail salon ever! I don't know if this is just me but i think it's a little overpriced. i had to pay 10 dollars to get coffin shape and to get them long when i told him no he just cut them all the way short without even asking. also when he painted my nails he did it very sloppy and my nails were uneven and just overall not a good job. also he was harsh with my nails and they were throbbing when i got home from all that pain they were in ! read more

I appreciated the short wait time on a Saturday, however I should've been weary that I only needed to wait 20 minutes on a Saturday. I didn't think it was hard to mess up a gel manicure, but I will have to go somewhere else to have this mess fixed. The gentlemen who did my nails filed them down so much that my fingers physically hurt. He cut them down SO short. He had to remove polish and restart on my hands SEVERAL times, wiping them clean with a paper towel that left residue on my nails that made the polish uneven. He painted over my dirty nails and then filed them AFTER putting on the polish. I also only received two layers of a very light colored polish, so you can still see my actual nail. I called the store and the issued me a refund, first telling me I needed to come in, then calling me back and saying I didn't. This was absolutely not worth my time nor my money. read more

Definitely would NOT recommend. I got an over priced pedicure and the polish didn't even last 1 week. To make it worse they also over charged for my 7 year old's pedicure. There is NO WAY that a child's basic pedicure is $22, they also charged $8 to paint her nails....no manicure, no designs, or any other REAL work....just simply paint them. VERY poor experience. That paint has also chipped in less than a week. I'm never bringing my daughter here again, I will find another place near my home to do them better for a reasonable price. To top it all off the lady that did a sorry job on my feet tried to act like she didn't understand what "give me change please" meant...as IF she was about to keep my whole $10 as a tip. I like Tina but the rest of the staff (besides the blonde receptionist) seemed rude and money hungry, not a very "relaxing" place to visit at all. read more

Jenny did a great job! I got a gel mani and pedi, which still look great after 2 weeks. Everything was clean and everyone was friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

Very rushed service. He had me pull my nails out before the light even disappeared. Normally, most techs aren't even done painting when time to switch. All of my nails are different shapes. Some thicker. Some skinny, some more round, some more square. Also, they charge $2 for using a card. I've heard of service fees but $2 a swipe? Won't go back ever. read more

I've gone a couple times because so many people recommend but my experience each time has been completely different. I've had the same lady twice and she seems to rush through everything. She has made me bleed and stabbed my fingers multiple times. She didn't listen to the shape or length I wanted and my finished product was very sloppy both times. She also insisted on ripping my old acrylics off when I just needed a fill in, in order to charge me more. This was also quite painful and she seemed to have no remorse. read more

Lam's Nail & Spa - The polish is globbed on and uneven - Nail Salons Near Me - Lafayette, Indiana

I went here for a full set. I asked for a simple ombré white to pink nail set. I showed them a picture of something that was done AT THEIR SALON thinking if it was done before it could be done again. Well I was wrong. My nails turned out chunky and thick and the ombré was barely there. I was also told one price over the phone (and clarified what I wanted to make sure they would give me a price for what I was asking for) and was charged a higher price after the service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. read more

I actually liked the salon... very clean, fast, and professional. However, the paint/acrylic was done sloppily and looks as though my nails have already grown out at the cuticle even though they were just done yesterday. read more

My honest opinion: I have tried various nail salons around the Lafayette area since I am a student and Lam's has been my favorite. They always soak off my gel which I appreciate! And are very nice. Will for sure come back! For the price you pay, this is the best you'll get in town. read more

I enjoyed my overall experience there. It's a clean salon with many colors. I'm pretty picky with the cuticle and callous part, but they never did anything that I could complain abt. Only wish their techs could creat a more friendly atmosphere there. But that's my own issue, it's a good salon, if you live close to it, I would recommend it. read more

Decided to try Lam's as a walk-in on a weekday morning. While semi-busy they had a nail tech open and were able to accommodate me. I told Hao it was my first time to their shop and he did a nice job of making me feel welcome and suggested that I make an appointment in the future. I like how they give you a menu of options to choose from so you know what your paying for. Overall it was a great experience and I will be returning in the future. read more

They are not very accommodating for small groups of friends. Came in with 4 girls and we each got sat in the four corners completely away from each other. Not quite what we had in mind for girls night. Their pricing and wording of services is also very confusing. If you are not extremely specific they will assume the most expensive service they offer that sounds similar to what you said instead of confirming with you that they are providing the correct service. My friend got acrylic nails that she wanted painted with regular polish and ended up paying $15 more because the guy used gel polish without asking. My other friend and I both asked for gel polish and when it came time to check out my nails were somehow $10 more than hers. Very disappointed with the service we received. Better communication and clear pricing is needed here. read more

So I really wanted to start getting acrylic nails and get a fill every few weeks (hoping they last that long for me) because my natural nails are thin and are very difficult to grow. I chose this place because it seemed the most well loved. The woman was very careful, and first shaped it to be square and I asked her to round it out a little and she did. Next time I want to try an almond or oval shape if I can. My right thumb nail is a bit crooked but I don't really mind. The colour selection was great. I'll be going back in a few weeks. read more

Lady did a great job on my nails. Very clean place. Just moved to Lafayette & was in search of a new place for a mani/pedi! I would highly recommend Lam's. I was able to walk-in, pick a color, and was seated in a pedi chair without waiting. Great color selection. Two offers for pedicure (classic $30 & deluxe $40). Also noted they do gel pedicures. One of the best mani/pedi I have gotten in a long time with time taken to ensure there were no mistakes. Lots of staff and very clean facility! I look forward to my next visit! read more

I highly recommend this salon! Everyone is so friendly and the salon is clean and calming. My gel manicures always last at least two weeks - sometimes longer. I'm new to the Lafayette area and have been wanting to find a salon to call mine for weeks. I finally got a day off and decided to look at reviews of salons in the area and this one sounded great. I go in after a rough week wanting to feel pampered and relaxed and unfortunately I got the opposite. I was placed with a younger man and could tell immediately he was rushing my manicure. Three of my cuticles bled-which has NEVER happened at a salon for me before and one of them he didn't even take the time to clean and take care of which you will see in the pictures I posted. It was honestly painful. He was rough and yanked at my hands and fingers telling me to relax throughout the whole encounter. I paid $30 for it and am usually a good tipper but cut what I would normal give by more than half because I'm too nice to not tip anything. I'm so disappointed and am not one to try and be negative but this was absolutely the worst gel manicure experience I've ever had. I'm sure the other tech's are wonderful. But my experience with him wasn't good at all ugh. I'll have to try somewhere else next time. read more
