If you want short nails, they have one price...but if you want longer, the price increases but that's not posted on their hand written sign. A FULL SET is shown as $55 (no mention of increase depending on length) A FILL the other day cost me $83 including 2 very simple nail arts and 15% tip. (NO TIP REPLACEMENTS on any nails) The original full set cost me the same with NO nail art. I think this is ridiculous. Not to mention the nail tech and her coworker arguing in another language at the top if their lungs. Very unlikely id go back.

Yes, I got a nice pedicure but Angela's had always cut my ingrown toenail and gave me a pedicure for the regular price. I called later and said I was not happy with the price. They put the guy on the phone and he said you agreed to the price, so too bad. Last time I go to Angela's Nails. I specifically asked for the man who worked there, but the man I thought I had requested was unbeknowest to me gone, and was replaced by this new fellow.

0/10 would not recommend this place to anyone. I booked with Young Nail Bar for a full acrylic set…read moreand a pedicure. I was told they could do something similar to my reference photo which I was fine with. Instead of acrylic they did gel-x but I didn't say anything as I had assumed they were doing what they needed to do to provide me with something close to my reference photo. My nails were shaped and then i was told they didn't have the white color I requested but could do something close - which was a purple/silver color. I was fine with that but then when it came to doing the designs on my nails the girl who was working on me started using gel to create the designs and a man who I assume is the owner came over and redirected her to use gold polish to paint the designs on, so one hand had 3D gel designs and the other just flat polish. Half way through painting the designs on one hand they moved me to to the pedicure chair and the lady stood next to me with no light or anything and hand painted the designs which were super sloppy since they were done with her standing next to me and the UV lamp balancing on the chair armrest. She finished both hands of designs in 10 minutes, threw a top coat on and moved onto the next customer. At this point I noticed the designs were very messy but I really didn't want to make a fuss or cause a scene as there were so many people in there and decided I would reach out afterward when it was quieter out of respect for them. During my pedicure I noticed allot of gel built up under my thumb nail and several of my fingers to the point it was painful since it was pulling on my skin. I was unable to remove it, and there were customers in every seat as well as in the waiting area - trying to be polite and not make a fuss I finished my pedicure ( which was fine) and went to pay - the lady who did my nails could see they were not great quality and offered me $5.00 off my service so with the gel-x set and pedicure was a total of $230.00. After a while the nails were extremely painful from pulling on my skin, I went to Revive Nails Downtown. I just asked them to help me remove the excess gel to alleviate the pain - they took one look at them and were shocked at how badly the nails were done and were unable to remove the excess gel without removing the nails themselves. They removed the nails and did a fresh acrylic set for me that I LOVED. I didn't want to cause a scene with how busy Young Nails was and decided to message them on their website. I also gave them a call and explained the situation and asked for a refund for just the nails as they were not great quality for what I paid. they told me to come in and I could get my refund - once I got there the same man that rushed the lady doing my nails before informed me that since I had the nails taken off I couldn't receive a refund - although he could see there was way too much gel under the nails pulling at my skin from the photos I provided . So 130 dollars lost, and half my day. Do not go here, they rush their services to get as many people in as they can and don't really care about quality or detail. There are so many less expensive, cleaner, and kinder nail places in Kelowna. Revive nails downtown being one of them! Steer clear of Young Nail Bar ladies!

Second red flag, springing a waiver on me when I arrived for the service stating they are not responsible if they destroy your hair! Third red flag, now too late to back out, the stylist carelessly flung bleach in my eye and I had to wash it over and over. She didnt even apologize and further deposited bleach on my pants, ruining them. I asked for platinum which they said they could do. My hair turned out banana yellow underneath and pink on top. The pink washed out as it was toner, the brass underneath stayed as is. The whole time the chick talked about how good she was and how brassiness was the mark of a crappy job. And then she gave me brass. They had the nerve to charge me 20% more than they quoted for a "colour correction" that they totally failed. NOW I need a colour CORRECTION and will spend more $ somewhere that can actually retain talent. The only people coming and going were for nails and facials...NOT HAIR! The cut was rushed, definitely not finished, not checked properly and it's all choppy and is uneven on each side. When I took issue with the cost, reminding them of the quote, they summoned the RCMP, who threatened me with force and made me pay, suggesting I take them to court. And they refused to fix it. Criminals. This salon is amateur and greedy to boot. If your hair matters to you, RUN!

I've been going to Viva Nails for the Gel application for at least a year now. Mostly my nails were…read morefine, but due to a lack of understanding on their part I don't always get what I have requested....shape design etc. I have never felt comfortable with them speaking among themselves in their own language. I find it to be rude. But....what has really made me unhappy is, when I completed 10 sets of Gel nails I was to receive a free set. An employee had written twice on my card that i had regular manicures, so I was denied my free set. I have only ever had Gel nails done at Viva and tried to explain that it must have been a mistake. However I was still denied my free set. I've told them I'm an unhappy customer, but they don't seem to care. I've made my next appointment elseware.
