Today, 2 weeks later, I walked down to the shop as my pinky nail broke and I hoped someone could help me, I needed 1 new acrylic nail. The woman (I am sure is the owner), sitting alone in an empty shop, rejected helping me. I explained that I got the nails done previously with them but still the answer was no. I would have paid and planned to make this my new home nail salon, making a visit for a mani/pedi every 3 weeks. With that type of customer service, I won't be returning and will continue my search to find a happy nail salon.

They do nice nail art. They do gels and fill in work. I had a lovely pedicure here and the ladies take time to really do a great job (removing dry heel skin.) I was told this would cost 150.00. When I attended my appointment the technician made a decision to chose a different laser machine than I was originally booked in for as per my telephone consult. She lasered my full face and I was charged $350.00 plus tax. I decided to not complain at that time concluding that the treatment should be successful. After 2 weeks and 4 weeks, I noticed no improvement in the areas I had initially made the appointment for. I returned to explain my situation about the original quote price, etc., and that I believed I did not receive what I paid for, I was told that I would need numerous treatments for results. The technician pulled up the pre- photos of my face prior to the first treatment, these were taken after the initial prep wiping and cleaning cleaning process creating a redness to my skin and used these photos as a comparison, stating she seen improvements. The technician then proceeded to use a different machine during this return visit on one area of my top lip and my chin and nose and the results were significant, I wish she would have used that machine in the first place. I'm an unsatisfied customer, I was not validated when explaining the misunderstanding in price, nor that I did not receive the results expected. I do not mind paying good money if I get results. I have been getting spider vein laser treatment for 15 years, so I do know what typical and reasonable results look like.

A FULL SET is shown as $55 (no mention of increase depending on length) A FILL the other day cost me $83 including 2 very simple nail arts and 15% tip. (NO TIP REPLACEMENTS on any nails) The original full set cost me the same with NO nail art. I think this is ridiculous. Not to mention the nail tech and her coworker arguing in another language at the top if their lungs. Very unlikely id go back.

Jenny was totally awesome and down to earth when I met her. Definitely found my right fit! I have long, thick, straight hair, and I love it layered. She layers it so it sits nicely, looks full, but weighs so much less. I'm always given the option to straighten or curl as a style afterwards, and I used to be terrified of the curl, but now, it's my favourite treat! I love the Aveda product quality, and their scents are just amazing! Post-COVID, I found the environment comfortable, and they made adjustments to make the experience reassuring. While an extra fee isn't ever fun to pay, in this case, I certainly don't mind. They were shut down for ages, and then needed to implement new protocols to meet requirements. I get that it's "all a part of business", and everyone has taken a hit, but this is not an insurmountable ask, and businesses are not able to recoup costs from the long closures, decreased traffic, and increased cleaning costs. They are transparent with their cleaning fee. They could have easily just increased the price of their services instead. I am thankful for the transparency.

I love their shop. Very clean and organized. I was especially impressed with their team and their receptionist. Everyone had a genuine smile on their face, and everyone was helping one another. There was a dance recital that weekend, and a lot of excited daughters came to get their hair and makeup done. It really helped mothers be stress free. If I ever come to Vernon, I will use them again.

Second red flag, springing a waiver on me when I arrived for the service stating they are not responsible if they destroy your hair! Third red flag, now too late to back out, the stylist carelessly flung bleach in my eye and I had to wash it over and over. She didnt even apologize and further deposited bleach on my pants, ruining them. I asked for platinum which they said they could do. My hair turned out banana yellow underneath and pink on top. The pink washed out as it was toner, the brass underneath stayed as is. The whole time the chick talked about how good she was and how brassiness was the mark of a crappy job. And then she gave me brass. They had the nerve to charge me 20% more than they quoted for a "colour correction" that they totally failed. NOW I need a colour CORRECTION and will spend more $ somewhere that can actually retain talent. The only people coming and going were for nails and facials...NOT HAIR! The cut was rushed, definitely not finished, not checked properly and it's all choppy and is uneven on each side. When I took issue with the cost, reminding them of the quote, they summoned the RCMP, who threatened me with force and made me pay, suggesting I take them to court. And they refused to fix it. Criminals. This salon is amateur and greedy to boot. If your hair matters to you, RUN!
