I called to get an appointment and Cindi answered the phone and she kept saying to come in at 5:00 pm. I have been going there for 2 years at all different times and never a problem, but last few times when I call for an appointment, she said the same thing, come in after 5:00 pm. I said that I can't come in then, she hung up on me. I went in at 3:00pm today and it wasn't busy at all and Tan, who does my pedicure, was just sitting there. One of the other girls came up to me to speak to me and Cindi yells out, for me to come back at 5:00 pm and I said that I can't! She said then you will have to wait for 2 hours!!! This is not right to treat a good customer this way for no reason!!! So, I went to another Nail Place and got treated Wonderfully and my nails look Great! Then, I went back to Happy Nails, Cindi was with a customer and I walked up to Tan and showed him my nails and I Thanked Him for his Service and I told him that I will Never Come Back there again!!! I don't know who Cindi, thinks she is! And I wonder if her husband, Kevin knows how she treats customers, when she gets in a Bad Mood! I guess just a Bad Day for Cindi!!!!!!!!!!!! I took my mother in law here for a pedicure and we both had a great and relaxing visit. We choose to do the "medium" pedicure, which included a salt scrub of our legs and feet, as well as hot wax on the footsies. Boy did that feel great, and our feet were so soft afterwards. They have a wide selection of colors to choose from, and seem to stay quite busy. They are very friendly and efficient. Would go back again for sure. read more

Got a gift certificate again- last time I was a walk in with no problem. This time girl on phone tells me " I HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, BUT THERE IS NEVER AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT DAY!" I drove by and sat and watched- they were NOT busy at all. I am not happy with this. Now I have a gift certificate that apparently I can't use due to all these invisible clients booking up all the slots. Tried to give them another chance Made an Appointment, but was running late call them to let them know. Woman on the phone was very rude. Told me that I was losing her money. I told her I wanted to keep the appointment but I was running late. Asked if I could still come in or even a little later, she said no. I drove up there anyway, and place was dead. She even told me they excepted walkins so it's not like somebody could've took the spot. She told me that she would not make me another appointment because I missed my appointment. but I'm free to walk in for an appointment, but I would probably have to wait to have my nails done. I have tried to walk in twice now to have my nails done. Today, Being no exception. Again, they are not busy. They were only servicing one client. There was two gentleman sitting in behind booths. one was not busy at all. I asked if I could get a full set of nails. The guy that was doing nails looked towards the back at a woman, then looked back at me and said no, that they have no one to do full set of nails available today. even though he himself was doing them. So they sell certificates for people to give to other people to have their nails done.... Then they only have one person in this whole salon to do nails. Apparently that will do a full set and yet either that person is never here to do the full set or only comes in once in a while. They tell you to come in as a walk in and when you walk in, spending the time driving over here to do it, they tell you that no one is here to do it. They want to complain if you're a few moments late for your appointment but they don't mind how much you spend in gas to drive over here and back each time when they tell you that no one is here to do the full set. And they just tell you come back tomorrow. Seems like a waste of money to keep coming back here, or to buy gift certificates for people and put them through this burden. Not good customer service at all.!! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. There is way too many nail salons around here in Orange Park and in Jacksonville . For people to have to be treated this way, and spend the money they spend is extremely ridiculous. I highly recommend people to go elsewhere to have pedicures, manicures and nails done, don't waste your money going to THIS salon, especially when they only have one person that can do the work! There is a very good nail spa over there behind Regency. It's near BestBet Jax , Also, there is Sandy's on Timucuana Road. Great experience getting a pedicure today. It's my first time here and I enjoyed the massage and pedicure as well as massage chair! The technician I had was great and very welcoming. The experience was soured by Michael, the owner, who was a bit impersonal and impolite. I wanted to get my technicians name and personally tip her, but he was so brusk and short with us we felt very rushed to leave. Such a shame, because we most likely won't return now. read more

i went to get a fill in and thought i would try this place out since i've been looking for a new salon. the staff was pretty friendly and i was in and out however the actual problem begins with my nails itself. when he applied the acrylic it wasn't done smoothly and some of my nails are a little lumpy, it's not extremely bad but definitely noticeable to me. he also had to apple two new nails because mine were broken when i came in but when he applied the new nails he did not shape them at all (didn't even file them) and i came in with coffin shaped nails, he also didn't file/shape the other nails he was filling in. overall i would maybe be open to trying this place again but with a different stylist read more

Made a 4:00 appointment, walked in and in a chair I I sat. The tech was friendly and attentive. All things went well until the end. I came in specifically to have a couple of hang nails removed. Well they were still there. I made several attempts to get the attention of the nail tech while she was taking on another client. Unfortunately she wasn't about making things right. I managed to get her co-workers attention and she redid the task including the removal of the hang nails. I would return here only to have the second technician perform the entire service. read more

So I asked the for red tips on coffin nails and lol well at first I walked in waited for almost 45 minutes that he said would be 20. So then I got to him. I was nervous, it's the holidays, I haven't been out to get my nails done in a long time and I told him I was trying to find a good nails place because I keep going different places and they don't listen to me they mess my nails up OR they hurt. So this particular place, I seen the ratings was good but one of them were down before of a guy. So I was already ready for bs. I said could he fix my nails about 3 times he said he got me. Then I moved my hand when he was smithing it down after putting the gel on and he said your laughing (I was and saying sorry. Nervously because if I wanted to be a b*tch my laugh would be HILARIOUS) so he said "your laughing but I'm trying to do your nails so let me do your nails." And let me tell you when I said just paint my nails clear. It took him an hour and 15 minutes to do this shit And the shit lifting after 2 days like this place is goofy. If I was going to be rude about it I could've. I could've gave this place a 3 till my names started lifting so not only was the wait bad, the attitude was ugly, but now the nails are too. The first time I went was okay but today two of my friends and I went for pedicures and manicures. They rushed us trying to hurry up and get to unscheduled customers so they would make more money. My feet still feel rough because they didn't get the dead skin off..and my acrylic gels are a bit bubbly...and they didn't even push my cuticles back. My other friend was also dissatisfied. We will not be returning to "happy nails". Bottom line go as a single customer if you go and pray a lot if people don't come in after you. read more

Kevin did a great job on my gel French nails. He free handed the white and it turned out very well. They have a huge color selection, clean environment, play the football game in the background (Go Gators), and they work quickly. Would recommend to anyone. read more

Kevin also did a great job on my acrylic nails. He thins them perfectly and also files them underneath so they're not thick like other acrylic nails I've had. When he applies the acrylic on the of the nail he meshes it up so well to the cuticle, when it grows out you don't feel any lumps. I could probably just paint the myself! I just wished the pedicures were a little bit more thorough in getting my calluses off. Unfortunately that may take a cheese grater, LOL! read more
