We will never come back to happy nails. They have officially lost our business. If I could score them a zero I would. Nicole really had the audacity to charge me $25.00 to JUST paint my 4 year old fingernails!! NO MANICURE, NO GEL. Literally all she did was throw some regular polish on. Only ONE coat then charged me $25.00. Unbelievable. On top of that the older man was mocking and laughing at us because we asked him very nicely to turn his drill down or refrain from using it as it was actually burning my nail. I don't use gel or fake nails of any sort so there should really be no reason the drill is heavily used for my regular manicure. When I asked the man to stop using it as it was hurting my nails horribly he started laughing at me and saying how it doesn't hurt him to the other girls. My teenage daughter had her nails done here with us. She gets acrylic. She usually goes somewhere else in midland but came to happy nails with me. Her nails turned out terrible. To say the least we were not impressed at all. They looked rushed and sloppy. Overall it was just horrible, horrible experience. I do not recommend this business to anyone. read more

Nicole is my preferred nail tech at Happy Nails.... she's amazing at what she does. All the other nail techs were very nice and from what I seen very accommodating to other clients. I went here about a year ago because I had a terrible nail job done and needed them fixed. I was so please I have made this place my go to nail salon! I recently made a very bad decision and went to World Nails in Bay City because Nicole was on vacation . I was headed out of town so I wanted fresh clean nails. Let's just say if you go there you will leave with hurting hands due to your nails beds being bent downward, World Nails is NOT the place to go! Then he refused to talk to me.. instead chatting with his colleagues. I was given a book with MAYBE 10-13 colors to pick from.. instead of the normal swatches. Then they absolutely trashed my nails. Uneven, wrong shape ( he never even asked what shape I wanted, instead opting to just to a square oval) and bumpy. Then he charged me 50 dollars! I came back the next day to have them fixed and they refused.. had to go to my normal salon to have them redone. Save your money.. don't come here. read more

I went for a dip powder change and instead of using the cotton and tinfoil she just used two small bowls of acetone then sucked the acetone back in the bottle to use on someone else. The edges were very sloppy and she left polish on my skin. They started chipping the next day. And she barely even said hello preferring to chat with her colleagues instead of staying focused or chatting to a potential repeat client. read more

Don't recommend getting your acrylics taken off here. I went in and they didn't use anything to soak my nails first, just began ripping them off and made me bleed. I have been disappointed a few times. Yesterday Julie did my nails and pedicure for a wedding. She has a bad attitude, does not listen and I can't understand her. As soon as I sat down, I wanted to show her the color I had on my toes as I had gotten the pedicure when I was on vacation and I needed a color similar. She started taking the gel polish off my nails and wouldn't look at my toes. She would just say I know and continued on. When we got to the pedicure chair she said you did not get that here, we don't have that color. That is what I was telling her in the beginning. I had no choice but to stay. She tried to match it, but my mauve color is now grey. She is very rough, and rude. I will never get any work done by Julie. The last time I had her I thought she had a cold, she had gross stuff she kept swallowing and was coughing. She said allergies. Whatever, it was gross. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with their service. She pushed back and trimmed my cuticles & gave me a hand massage with lotion after my manicure. I have never gotten my cuticles trimmed without me asking first! Very nice and talented staff. read more

I was at a nearby restaurant on a Saturday afternoon and stopped in on a whim to get a manicure. Vinnie comes highly recommended by a member of my family, and luckily there was no wait to have him start my manicure. $25 for a no-chip manicure is a great deal (at least by my standards -- I do not live in Midland)! It's only been a week, but my nails still look flawless. I also appreciated that a brand new set of manicure tools is opened for each client. I'm very pleased with how we were treated! My daughters and I went in and were treated like VIP. All 3 people that assisted us were able to hold conversations with us. I was very impressed with the one gentleman who helped my oldest. He was funny and really was through explaining pricing of our wants. I will go back again that's for sure! I'm happy. Unfortunately you can't leave a zero star review, I went in due to my salon being closed on Sundays, it started with the man filing my nails into sharp points which I DID NOT ask for. Once I realized, I asked him to remove them and restart, this man took a pair of cuitical clippers and started shoving them under my old set. I had to ask him to stop because of the pain and nervousness that he would slice my finger open. He had another man take over which I was relieved about. Soaked my nails which I thought was much better... until he pulled out the drill and filed the old acrylic off!!!!!!! I walked away extremely unhappy and my nails ended up coming off the hand they "fixed" in less than a week. Now I am left with the thinnest most painful bits of real nail, when he was filing the acrylic it kept breaking through and burning my real nail. I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING, NEVER RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. This place is unsanitary and unprofessional!!! Now I am left waiting for my nails to grow out and heal, extremely painful and annoying! read more
