My wife left this salon in tears. She repeatedly told the nail technician that her French manicure was far too thick, bulky, and looked very unnatural. Instead of listening to her concerns, they kept insisting that "this is how it's supposed to look." Even after speaking with the manager, we were told, "It's not dry yet--it'll look fine." It never did. When we returned to give them an opportunity to fix the issue, the experience became even worse. Rather than acknowledging our concerns or trying to make things right, the manager argued with us, denied what had previously been said, and raised her voice. The situation escalated unnecessarily because they refused to take responsibility for the poor workmanship. We ended up wiping off the nails ourselves and leaving with damaged nails, wasted time, and money. The attached photo speaks for itself. The quality of the work was unacceptable, but what was even more disappointing was the complete lack of professionalism and customer service. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them is what truly matters. I would strongly recommend avoiding this salon if you expect quality work and respectful treatment. Very disappointing experience at Happy Nails. I came in asking for a basic French manicure, something that should be simple and standard, but the result was extremely poor. The white tips were made so thick that nearly half of my nail was painted white. When I politely pointed out that it didn't look right and asked if it could be adjusted, I was told, "You know nothing, this is how we do it." What upset me even more than the quality of the nails was the way I was treated. The staff were rude, dismissive, and raised their voices when I expressed my concerns. MIDWAY THRU THE SERVICE the lady doing my nails tells me she can't do that design. not ideal, but I decide to settle for one of the designs from their samples. She said she can't do it. At this point my nails have been manhandled and feel sore and I feel anxious due to the attitude I was given throughout the appointment, so I find the most simple flower design I can on Google images. I watch it sloppily start to get painted and instead of for her to just do any flower that she can on just the thumbnail to try to make it easier. I had a horrible experience this evening. I called ahead of going in to make sure Kevin was available to do my dip powder. The lady on the phone said yes, he's there and that I can come now. Well, I arrive and there is no Kevin. A lady named Cindy took me. She rushed my nails the WHOLE ENTIRE TIME (even skipping steps in the dip process). I was fuming the whole time. She never spoke a word to me. If she was working on a finger and my other fingers were "in the way" she would hit my fingers so I'd move them out of the way. My nails are brittle so I like how the dip makes them thicker. Well, Cindy didn't do enough coats. Hopefully they don't break, as I've been trying to grow my nails out for a while now. After this experience, I don't think I'll be back here. The attitude is real and they're always trying to sell you on getting more work done (eyebrows, pedicure, etc). read more

She took me right in and sat me down in a massage chair, with one worker doing my feet and her doing my hands. What a treat! At one point I had all three of them working on me. Neither girl took all the gel off and the girl that did my manicure left my fingernails with lumpy gel and gave the worst French polish job I've ever had!! I paid AND TIPPED although I'm furious with myself for not demanding that someone else redo my nails. But there was only one other girl working, the manager, who was also doing others nails. I will never go back to this shop, EVER!! They don't speak English and they don't offer internet or if they have it, they also refused to provide a password when asked. I had a horrible experience here. I made an appointment because i had a gift card and am getting married. When I got there they said they could do what I wanted. I told them I was getting married and wanted them to look really good. It was going okay until the nail artist attempted to do the ombré. I kept trying to tell myself to trust the process and that maybe she would make it look better, but that never happened. When she busted out the jewels they had, i knew there was no way i was going to let them keep going. The jewels were tiny and sparse and not at all what I wanted. I went to my happy nails to get myself some fun Halloween nails. Nothing crazy. I asked for black with a few orange stripes. They were able to get me in quick and started my nails. After cutting me and squeezing the life out of my right ring finger, it was time for the orange stripes. She put them on and they were very wobbly and not how I envisioned. Before we dried them in the light, I asked if she could remove this color and do something simpler, horizontal stripes on only my ring fingers rather than all of them. But after she took the color off, my tech said "sorry I have another customer waiting" I had been there for 45 minutes at that point and the new customer she was referring to got there right as the base dried on my nails. Waiting 5-10 minutes max. She they proceeded to charge me $50 dollars for flat black nails with no design and shooed me out the door. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to the customer who got there first. Will NOT be going again. read more

Considering the fact we are dealing with a pandemic right now, I definitely think I received 5 star quality from Happy Nails today. The nail shop has scaled back the services they offer due to Covid 19. There operations now take place on a patio like area in front of their shop. There about 3 stations in operation so you must make an appointment. I got a fill and pedicure and it was done old school style where the pedicurist brings a tub of water out and sits in a chair nearby. The quality of work was still very good. No complaints on my end. By the way, many of their locations are closed. So it is a treat to find a location that is open. Otherwise ladies, you we would have to get those press on nails that don't last more one day. Lol! I know I've been there and done that. If you're a flexible person with patience., this nail salon is just for you. You have to know that this is a makeshift salon until they are allowed to reopen inside. I'm very happy with the services I received today. read more

I was a walk in but they took me right away (I was however there at 9:30am). It was clean and relaxing. I got a pedicure 35$ she added $5 to remove my nail polish. I didn't get anything extra. Tracy is knowledgeable, honest, and has a gentle touch when doing pedicures, manicures, tinting my eyebrows, and waxing. She waxed my daughter's eyebrows for her first time when she was 15, and was very gentle with her. My daughter continues to see her after all this time. She gives me her honest opinion when I ask her questions and she is very fastidious about cleanliness as well as aesthetics. As a 56 year old woman that is much appreciated. This establishment is always clean, nice and cool, and the staff are always friendly there. I hate to do this, but i HAVE to. I went to this salon today to get a mani and pedi because my usual place (Ritz Nails on 17th street) has been too packed lately and takes forever! I partly blame myself for Ritz's unbearable wait times since i wrote a ridiculously awesome review for them a few months ago. That being said, I just got the WORST manicure i have ever gotten in my entire life. I am not exaggerating at all. Besides the fact that the girl rushed through the cutting and filing portion leaving my nails completely uneven, she proceeded to "paint" my nails with polish. There were actual parts of my nails that just didnt have any polish on them at all when she was done- and i dont mean the sides of my nails- i mean the actual tip of my nails were just missing huge portions of polish. On top of this, i had polish all over my cuticles and fingers from the messy job. I normally dont ask for a refund but considering they charged me $35 dollars for my mani/pedi ($39 after tip!) and since i knew i was going to have to re-do it myself anyways, i asked for a refund for the mani. The manager refused to give me a refund and instead gave me a gift card. As i was getting my gift card, the lady that did my manicure actually confronted me. It was the most awkward experience ever. I always read reviews like the one i am writing now and wonder if they are real. Now i know, they are real. The worst part is that i wanted to like this place...i REALLY wanted to like this place because it is right around the corner from where i live. I will never be coming back again. read more

The older woman (i believe she is the manager) conned me into an extra $12 for the upgraded service for mani/pedi which was to include a 10 minute massage on both hands and feet. This same woman did my mani and rushed through it - no 10 minute massage--not even a 5 minute massage, and she was rather rude. The woman who did my pedicure was sweet; but, again, there was no 10 minute massage and my toenails were left rather jagged (very little filing after cutting) and my cuticles were painted too. The "special" callus remover they talk you into is a joke. I should have not paid the extra $12 and I am disturbed at myself for doing so and not registering my dissatisfaction. I went in today to have polish on both "big" toes corrected. The gentleman at the front desk greeted me pleasantly with a glaring condition of Pink Eye. Need I say more? We can fix for seven dollars. Was told to find the polish used on my last visit, which was nowhere to be found. Was told maybe we are all out. No, bottle was full last week. Well. maybe a client dropped the bottle and broke? This place is right around the corner from my home so I figured I would try it out. The manager was polite and friendly but the woman That was doing my gel acrylic manicure was not friendly at all. She cut me several times with the electric file while buzzing my nails. She rushed through the entire process and when I pointed out a few mistakes in the gel polish she proceeded to roll her eyes and say that they were fine. This place is over priced anyways so I'll be damned if I'm going to over pay for a crap job. I told her she needed to please redo the wrinkle that appeared in the gel and finally after asking her 3 times she obliged. Also be aware that their gel colors change in the UV light boxed. I picked a light dusty rose color from their samples, which is what the color looks like when painted, but then when she finished they changed to a creamy porcelain after sitting under the UV light. They seem more concerned with getting people in and out and getting paid rather than doing a good job. I will not be returning. read more
