Today I got brave and went for their mini-facial. OMG what an amazing service. It's probably the best $30 bucks spent (I think it was $30) They start by cleaning your face and adding some sort of moisturizer. Its followed by the best facial massage I've had in a long time. She really gets in there and massages everything from neck to forehead. I mean, I was ready for a nap right after she did that. However there was more to come. She went to the back and brought a cold facial mask. She proceeded to rest it on my face and massage it so that it would be nicely pressed over my skin. She then went on to take care of another client and I was fighting falling asleep haha I was with the mask for a good 10mins or so. She proceeded to remove it and do another nice massage all over my face spreading the moisturizer all over. She was so calm and relaxing. I am so ready for a nap now and my face feels clean, and refreshed. Very affordable and very accessible if you are in a rush and don't really want to wait for spa appointments to be open. Had trouble finding the place. It is located way in the back even behind the entire plaza, behind the gym. They use a very fine thread which got all my hair and made me cry (no pain no gain) lol. I usually never cry for any threading sessions, but it must have been the thread. Pricing is higher since Irvine, unfortunately. I had to subtract a star because when the lady asked if I wanted Aloe Vera, I specifically said "no thank you, it tends to break me out", she proceeded to slather it on my face regardless....hours later even after washing my face when I returned home shortly after, I broke out on both my eyebrow areas. :( read more

Today was my second time at Brow Mantra. I had a fairly bad experience my first time (2 years ago, they were rushed and snagged my skin) but I had a seamless experience today. I should mention, my brows are microbladed and I've never had any issues with threading ever since. I went in on a Sunday at 1pm. There were no other customers. It's $15 for threading brows, which feels steep - but fair for the Irvine area. Nadia had a mask when I entered, offered me hand sanitizer after signing in/starting my brows. She was friendly, gentle and immaculate. She made sure to do the area right between my brows where those pesky mini hairs are. YAY. I would gladly have Nadia do my brows again. She is currently working Sundays, so I'll be sure to ask for her again when I'm back. read more

I've been here only once before and I didn't think my experience was that bad. Was a little bit disappointed today. I felt like my girl rushed it a little bit and didn't really care too much for the placement of my hands when I was holding my brows and proceeded to thread my brows despite my brows not being relaxed at all. The end result was okay. I thought one of my brows ended up a little uneven, but I guess that's what makeup and tweezers are for. I also realized that there was a $2 discount if you checked-in on Yelp, but this was after she charged my card. I asked if it were still possible to use it, but she just told me to use it next time and that I should tell her before she charges it next time, which is fair. I'm not sure why she couldn't have just given me $2 back in cash, but it's fine. I didn't feel like it was worth making a big deal about and let it go. Also I always feel uncomfortable with places that specifically ask you out loud how much you want to tip them in front of the whole store. Great customer service, amazing woman, very kind but the skill is not there. :-( left with one eye brow super skinny compared to my other eye brow, and then she blamed it on my brows. Not the case, I purposely grew them out, I only wanted a clean up, not a shaping, thinning or removing hair from my actual brow, just wanted her to get the stragglers. So sad. This isn't something I can hide. She had the audacity to still charge me, because I'm a classy woman I still tipped $4 although idk who in their right mind would pay for this. Very disappointed. It was my first time here and Zena did such a wonderful job! It's a very welcoming spot and I felt so comfortable walking in. She cleaned up my brows and even gave them a natural tint, she also put on some aloe vera which helped cool down my brows. I have been coming here for at least 5 years, I have had threading to my eyebrows for at least 20 years. I am not that picky! Today was literally the worst. I had a really terrible experience and it was the same person who did my eyebrows really well a few weeks ago! My advice is to really make sure you tell them what you want - I.e. don't cut me and don't make my eyebrows too thin. You can always take more off but it takes a long time to grow back certain hair! They will tell you to use castor oil but there is no evidence to support that it makes hair growth... hair eventually will grow back but it might take months! I really hate how she kept trying to tell me she just did a "clean up" I am not a newbie at this. read more

So, I've been to plenty of threading salon's - high priced, low priced, and I've noticed that you DON'T get what you pay for. The lowest I've gotten my eyebrows done has been $6.00 - and you get the whole nine yards (massage with aloe, cleaning of face, and basic trim for the crazy hairs). Here, I paid $11.00, plus a 2$ tip just because I know this job is difficult and touching faces all day would gross me out. All I got was a messed up left eyebrow, where she took a little too much than my right eyebrow. I know, I know, eyebrows are sisters, not twins, but still! A big complaint was that she didn't even bother to clean my face up a bit out of courtesy. She handed me the mirror, I gave the ok, and that was it - meanwhile, I'm looking at myself in the little mirror with a carpet of eyebrow hairs spread across my forehead (it had been a while, ok?!). A little more customer service goes a long way... Thanks, but I'll save myself a few bucks going elsewhere. read more

I've generally had good experiences here. My eyebrows are really thick and wild and I really have no idea how to handle them myself. They always do a great job though sometimes I feel they can be a bit rough as they are trying to do their jobs quickly. Horrible experience. Do not go here if you care for your eyebrows and your money!!! I have been threading my eye brows for ever and I have a very good idea about what area of my eyes are problematic. But they really screwed it up. I did think she was using the scissors a bit too much but hey they are the expert. I have had bad experience in the past too, but nothing has made feel/look as bad as this one. They literally chopped off the top of my eyebrows and cleaned up all hair from under. Now there is no saving it. Unfortunately I came right before the holidays too. So now I have one eye brow that is crooked and very thin and other looks okay. And when I complained both of them tried to cover up their mess even after this obvious screw up. Don't tell me I have a bald spot on my eyebrows. I think I would know the shape of my brows. Worst experience ever as far as eyebrow threading goes. And I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for more than 20 years and never have I felt this bad. And then they made my pay in full and tried to get me to pay more by signing up for tinting. What are they going to tint? There is no hair to tint and I have a very irritated skin after the threading. They are trying to convince me I need to put dye on my irritated follicles and to absolutely no use since there is no hair to tint there. How stupid do they think their customers are? It's a whole sham. Bad work, bad service. Its not like they are cheap either. At $15 they are pretty pricey. read more

It was my first time coming to this place and it's close to where I work. I've always done threading with my eyebrows and upper lip since I can remember. Typically, it takes about 5-8 max for most threading artists to finish. The particular person who helped me took less than 5 minutes. She assumed that I just wanted clean up. I mentioned that I had some make up on and that I wanted to do a little reshaping. I'm not sure what the protocol is when someone has make up on. I would assume that you would want to wipe it off I order to see the true shape of the brows. She never did that. After she was done, she handed me placed a mirror in front of me and as soon as I opened my eyes and saw what it looked like, she put the mirror back. I didn't get a good look at my brows. She then went back to previous person she was assisting. When I look at the shape, I didn't see a difference in shape since I still had my brow filled in. It took her another 5 minutes to assist me in paying. Overall, she seemed like she was in a rush. I knew she was helping another person at the same time. I didn't appreciate how she decided to help me in between helping another person. It made it difficult to tell her that I wasn't happy with how it turned out When I looked closely at my brows, the clean up wasn't even that good. The bottom line, isn't clean, and there are still some hairs under the points. I won't be coming back, I'd rather drive further to my regular place since they take their time and truly show interest in you. read more

I was going to give this place 5/5 stars because of the last lady who did my eyebrows. She was sweet and amazing. However, today's experience was the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I almost left crying. They have a check-in deal so I activated the offer and took it to her for her to see and click "mark offer as used." She doesn't speak or understand English too well, so she kept stating that "mark offer as used" meant the offer has been marked as used at a previous visit. She wouldn't accept the check in and proceeded to call the owner and yell at me saying to never come back. It was the most embarrassing and frustrating experience I've ever had a customer. read more

They clearly tell you that face masks are mandatory. But every time I come in, they let customers wait inside without masks on. Today was no different. It's disappointing. Only thing that made it worse today is that the employee approached me, without her mask on to tell me she had 3 customers in front of me. Even though the girl who did my eyebrows was super friendly, I was very disappointed how my eye brows came out. I asked for a simple clean up but it turned out my eyebrows got chopped off 50% thinner than before. I noticed many customers had the same compliant recently.
