I went to the salon for the first time since it had transferred ownership. I had an amazing pedicure, and I enjoyed my gel nails being put on. However, little did I know I would end up with a serious septic joint osteomyelitis, and I had to have surgery on my pinky finger the joints from the bottom of my pinky all the way to the knuckle were infected. They had to remove bone and tissue and drain it. I was on strong antibiotics that caused me to be sick and pain medication. I've had a lot of follow up visit from the surgeon SMOC and the infectious disease, doctor, Dr. Libby. My toes both pinkies showed areas of black underneath the gel fingernail polish I had that was some type of fungus I was told. I am getting ready to start physical therapy for my finger. My first joint in my pinky is completely bent. I cannot straighten it out, and I still suffer from pain from it. I don't know what went wrong. What happened? But I'm very disheartened at what I had to go through. I already have no immune system due to having MS and I receive infusions for that. That always leaves me vulnerable, however, I never would have expected this to happen to me as I've been getting my nails done for 30 plus years. read more

I had a mixed experience at this nail salon. The husband did a great job on my nails once, but the wife's work has been inconsistent. I've had a rough pedicure from her and a fill-in that lifted quickly. Yesterday, I went for a pedicure and it was fine, but today I wanted a full set with white French tips. The wife started putting all white powder on my nails, which wasn't what I asked for. She seemed frustrated when I asked her to soak them off and continued to drill my nails. I felt uncomfortable, so I asked to speak with her outside. She was upset that I didn't like how she was doing my nails. I specifically asked for round nails, but she gave me almond stilettos. I got my nails done on Christmas Eve , a full set. by christmas day one nail was lifting, and by the following day 2-3 nails were lifting. I called on the 26th about a repair and they told me to come the 27th because they were closed. I show up, wait 30 minutes , and the women looks at my nails and says "I see no issue". as someone who goes to cosmetology school, you could very clearly see the issue. I then had to physically push my nails up so she could see there was an issue , then she says "okay I see " she then continues to repair my nails with the WRONG COLOR ACRYLIC, so now my French tip nails are half clear acrylic half pink. It is now the 28th and a nail fell off in my sleep. The hot stone massage I had took all of 3 minutes. Polish was so chunky and thick I could of peeled it in one layer. I went to Happy Nails and Spa on Thursday, April 18th to get a fill in, toe polish change, and eyebrows wax. I paid $55 and tipped a total of $7. Only to return today, April 22nd, to get a polish change on my hands and toes because my polish had streaks in it. Since, I got gel polish on my nails, there's no way my polish should have been looking like that and it also looked like I needed another fill-in. SMH I assumed the polish was old and my polish change would be free. Well, so much for me assuming...Jenny charged me $25 and stated that if I had gotton yellow polish again, it would have been free, but since I decided to get a french tips, I had to pay $25. I told her I had no problems paying $5 for french on my hands and $5 for french on my toes, but to pay the full $25 was ridiculous. I just want to know if the yellow polish had streaks in it on Thursday...would it been better on Monday? Then, she argued back and forth with me and started speaking her language to her workers. Very unprofessional. So, I tried to explain my point again and she was even more unprofessional and raising her voice at me. Can I get some good customer service is the question of the day?
