I wish I could leave no stars. I went for a pedicure which I haven't had in like a year. it was a $60 plus 15 tip and they didn't even scrub the bottom of my feet. She clipped my toenail too short so I was bleed the entire time and I had to go home for the rest of the day since I could barely walk. There were no hot stones even tho they have a pick with it. only positive was she was nice and the massage chair itself. besides that this place robbed me. Avoid at all costs. read more

My first visit to this salon because my usual was booked and i really needed a fill while i had a sitter for the kids. They were not happy that i did not want gel polish, very pushy about it. She cut me a few times, one of my nails you can see she did not fill correctly... there is a huge dip in it and my polish looks like my 11 yr old applied. She didnt even bother to clean up nails from excess polish. NEVER AGAIN will i be back here nor do i recommend any one take a chance here. read more

Don't go here! I came here to get a new full set of nails because my real nails grew all the way up. The male owner told me he would take care of it and then began filing away only the tips of my nails. He ended up filing off the tips and giving me a fill instead of taking my nails off like I asked him to. He then went on for 10 minutes about how he was saving me so much money and that anyone else would have just taken them off and put a new set on.... like I wanted. They ended up looking like crap anyways and he didn't paint the full nail. I am so mad I wasted over 2 hours here. Go elsewhere and actually get what you want. read more

Came in to do my nails 10/14 and asked for a simple design, and got a complete BS design on top of all the bubbles that was on my nails (I do gel this is my biggest pet peeve), clearly he didn't get the hint when I asked what this design on my nail was. and they were so quick to leave an hour and a half earlier than closing hours. Came right back in when they opened to change my nails and they tried to up charge me $15 because of their half ass job they did on my nails. What kind of business is that? You'd think they'd want to make you happy And accommodate your needs but no all they're worried about is money. I came here to get my nails done for a trip that I'm taking. I asked the guy to clean off the nail color from the last polish. He told me don't worry about it and seemed visibly upset that I would dare to say something about a service I am paying for.  When he applied the white nail polish I couldn't decide if it looked like I has been painting a room or like my three year old niece put it on my nails. I asked him to clean the polish off my hands because it was everywhere. He got upset again and said it would come off when I washed my hands. Strike 2. I stood at the sink literally scrubbing the glue and the nail color and all of a sudden I hear HURRY UP! I had my back turned to the sink and turned around to see whom he was talking to because he kept yelling. He was talking to me. There was no one on the shop, but him, another nail tech and me. I looked at him and asked who he was talking to?  He then grabs my bags and tells me to leave and proceeds to put his hands on my left arm shoving mr.  I told him to get his hands off me. I told him I am paying for a service and expect a better job. He got angry and told me to leave and never come back. This is a picture of my nails after I cleaned it up. This place deserves no star. Save your money and go somewhere better and more professional. I had to be on a couple of Zoom calls so I left. I called and asked to speak to the manager. He picked up and said she wasn't there. I asked when she would be back. He said he didn't know. I told him who I was and said that I would be calling the police because he put his hands on me. He said, "Go ahead! Call the police!" I walk over to the shop to see if I could get a card and speak to a manager. He and the other nail tech are in the salon screaming and talking about me to the customers. The lady told me I didn't have to pay so everything was ok and basically lied.  I said no that's not what happened and told her again. She told me nothing happened they have it on tape. I said great we will let the police see when I call them. I called the police, told them what happened and the police went inside to hear their side of the story and they are both literally screaming at the police with customers inside and lying as well.  They are also no clean, they don't wipe down between customers, or wash their hands. I will be filing a report with the Attorney General, the Board of Health and whomever else will listen. If I  am paying for a service especially one that costs $100 plus tip, I want my nails to look good. There was no need for him to put his hands on me and throw a tantrum then lie. I was assaulted as a black woman. If the tables were turned I know that he would have called the police. I never raised my voice or yelled and regardless if I did he had no right to put his hands on my. I was more than happy to leave that unprofessional environment. I should have walked out when he wouldn't take off the left over nail color. And just because I didn't pay doesn't make the way I was spoken to and treated ok. I would have been perfectly happy to speak to the manager and get an apology. read more

If i could give no stars I would! I was referred by a friend to come here and get my nails done. As soon I walked in I was the only customer and the lady assisted me quickly. I asked for shellac, and the color options were very minimal. My nails were a bit rough so I was expecting her to buff them out and file them all neatly but guess what? She didn't do either! The whole entire time I felt like I was being rushed even though I was the only customer there and it wasn't near closing time. As soon as I left I noticed how uneven and rough my nails were. Not only that but I had nail polish all over my cuticles and did I mention I left the salon with nail polish all over the my thumb. The lady didn't even bother cleaning up the sides up. Once I got home I had to clear up all the mistakes they left behind. Two days later I returned with my friend who referred me to address the issue and show them how terrible of a job she did, hopefully getting a refund back. We explained the situation to "the owner" who briefly laughed it out and told us he didn't want to talk to us and continued to kick us out of the salon. We walked in there politely and the guy and lady who did my nails told me it was my fault the nails were terrible, he was saying it was my fault the nails came out bad. He then offered to fix one nail, but not all of them. But what is one nail being fix going to fix the issue of all of them being messed up. NEVER EVER WILL I EVER RETURN TO THIS SALON!!! read more

I've been to Happy Nails twice now. Both were fairly bad experiences. Both times my friend and I waited an hour to get our nails done, they only have two people on at any given time and when it was finally our turn he sat us side by side, which was nice, but he then proceeded to jump between the two of us and the two women getting pedicures. He literally took my polish off, took my friends polish off, filed, buffed, etc my nails, then did hers. He then went to his pedicure customers and left us sitting waiting while he worked on them. This was what he continued to do for the rest of our time there. Once he finally had my nails done and was painting them, I notched, before he put my top coat on, that he left a brush bristle on my left thumb nail. I asked him to get it off and he argued with me and said once he put the top coat on I wouldn't be able to see it, which makes no sense, but he refused to take it off. I then found myself for the next two weeks staring at that nail brush bristle all the time. We figured we would give them another chance since my friend has been going there a long time and this was the first time she had a problem. This time was even worse. We waited almost two hours just to sit down, and again he jumped between the two of us and two other customers. I then asked him to do a simple nail design and he argued with me telling me it was impossible to do it and it would look bad, even though I've had the same kind of design done before and I had a picture of it done on someone's nails, which makes it not impossible. I then said "okay fine, can you do a four leaf clover?" And he then argued with me again. Telling me he couldn't do it because 'it will look bad' .. I know the woman who works there does excellent nail design so I asked him if she could do it, and he proceeded to tell me no because he didn't want to share his tip. This place has horrible customer service, horrible wait times, awful color choice for paint, and a lot of the bottles they do have are crusty and old and separated. If you can't do basic simple nail design, then you're not a professional and you shouldn't be working at a nail salon. The only upside of this place is they have a card where when you get a serve 10 times you get money off your next one. It's a shame I won't be wasting my money there anymore to take advantage of that. read more

This is the nail salon factory. I really felt like a car moving down the assembly line here. It's cheap, but it's totally not worth it in my opinion. I get my nails done out of practicality, sure, but it's mostly an indulgence... that I'd like to enjoy. Not here, that's for sure. The good: Bright, modern decor, comfortable massage chairs, plenty of staff, inexpensive, good polish color selection, no wait, clean. The bad: Everything else! The service here is quick but awful. The staff barely spoke to me, and I felt like I shouldn't be there. I like to feel welcomed in a spa-type setting, and there was no pineapple over the door here. The product is also not great. It was fine for a quick job to tide you over, but I think I could have done a better job at home -- which is not the impression you want to get when dropping any amount of money on a service. In all fairness, I gave Happy Nails several chances to change my mind, and they just don't cut it. With so many options around for nail salons, I'd recommend skipping Happy Nails. Your nails will be happier for it. read more

I went here with a couple of friends a couple of weeks ago, and received probably the worst manicure in my entire life. I waited nearly 45 minutes to receive a 30 second manicure, I could still see indentations through the polish left over from press on nails, and the guy barely spoke two words to me. He did, however, argue with my friend about the design she wanted on her nails. Left this place about 15 min ago. Went in for a fill and was rushed through it. The guy said that he had no one to care for his son so he was trying to get him home at a decent time. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. I went Friday night for a pedicure- this man was so rude. As he finished cutting my toes I asked him about the leg massage (which should have been included in any pedicure) he said if I wanted a foot and leg massage to go down the street and pay 70.00. At first I thought he was joking- but then proceeded to paint my nails- he got up and did not paint 2 of my toes! I said to the female worker where did he go?? He went outside. She finished my toes but left polish on my skin. HORRIBLE!! No wonder this place is always empty when I drive by. If you want rude service then go here. I will never go again. read more

A solid four. I work in Pawtucket and occasionally meet a girlfriend in the Attleboro area for coffee and a mani/pedi. I'm pretty loyal to my Providence salons, but I don't have many complaints about Happy Nails. It's clean and bright and the employees are very friendly. We've always had good luck here and the prices are fine. Ask for a card--after 10 manis/pedis/whatever, you get a free one. Color selection for basic paint jobs is lacking, but they do offer the new gel/shellac treatments. They do a nice job with the shape and polish, and I was pretty pleased to watch the thorough scrubdown of the foot basins. No finishing spray, and the UV machine was acting funky the last time I was there, but no major issues. Like many salons, they will not add gratuity to the credit card receipts, so bring cash for a tippy-poo. read more

I have been going to Happy Nails every other week for probably 6 years now. I have acrylic nails, and go in for fills, but also have had pedicures as well as having my brows waxed. Not ONCE have I had anything less than stellar experiences. I just do NOT understand these negative reviews! I LOVE Billy and Lily (obviously not their true names). These are two of the hardest working, most dedicated, caring, most wonderful people you could ever meet. I have recommended friends to go there on numerous occasions, and not once have I heard anything negative back. I know for a fact that several of these friends will now only go to Happy Nails for their salon experience. I feel honored to have been a patron for all these years, and hope to continue going there for many years to come! read more

Just moved here from Boston and tried this place, Went there on 10/19 - worst gel manicure I have ever had in my life .... my nails are covered in bubbles and my thumb already chipped one day later! Brought my daughter and two niece's today. Would never go back. It was a special treat for my 8 year old niece to get her first mani-pedi. The man that did her nails changed the color she picked, because in his opinion it was too light. She asked for polka dots and he said her nails were too small. Really? For a couple of dots? He took it upon himself to add a different color to her ring finger. I got a gel mani-pedi and the woman did such a sloppy job, even argued with me that she didn't paint my cuticles. Honestly one of the worst manicure experiences I've ever had. The only reason I rate them a star is because they have fair prices (A regular manicure is 12$, and designs are additional 5$, pretty common). The woman buffed my nails with an EMERY BOARD. She literally used sandpaper on my nails. And I will say this: I take very good care of my nails, I just went to indulge a little. My nails do not have ridges or peel, and they absolutely do not need such a brutal board to be used. You use a buffing block, they're like 2$ at sally's. The edges of my nails are rough and ragged from her filing. She was also really hard on my cuticles. When I went with a friend there was one other person in there getting a pedicure. My friend and I were next to each other speaking in low voices, and the other woman was not speaking in one of the seats for the foot soak. And for some reason, one of the employees was SCREAMING as she spoke. I was under the tv and couldn't hear a thing over her voice. The polish was unevenly applied and she left gaps on my nail. Then she offered a design and it was incredibly sloppy and poorly done. When she did the clean up around my cuticles, she got acetone on my nails, removing the polish, and didn't fix it. When my nails were drying she started circling me while I waited for my friend to finish with her nails. Sensing she wanted my card, she got it out of my wallet for me, which was helpful. Then after I paid, she kept staring at my wallet and walking near me. I had no intention of tipping her, but my friend offered me a couple dollars to give to her. I have been there 3 times every time iv'e had a problem. It's "no no this is better". They guy does what HE wants. I have been doing my nails longer than he's had that store. Awful Place! the woman that did my pedicure looked like she didn't want to be there. she didn't speak to me at all and only grunted when I tried talking to her. Very rough with the cuticle removers. left two of my toes bleeding. The other woman that did my manicure was nice but still rough left one of my fingernail cuticles bleeding and red 2 days after the manicure. As I was getting my manicure I watched the woman that did my pedicure rinse off the tools and use them on the next pedicure customer that came in. no disinfectant, no barbisol, not even regular soap was used to clean the tools. i will be lucky if I don't end up with an infection. I have never had any issues and on more than one occasion, I have heard Billy going above and beyond to protect the integrity of his business.
