Came here during opening weekend on Saturday and Sunday where they had a buy one get one free promo going on. Both days had long lines, but the manager and staff were very attentive. The best part was that the drinks were consistently good on both days and the boba was a great consistency. We didn't have to wait long for our order which was nice. The waffle was my favorite part of the experience. It was hot, crispy, and soft all at the same time. Make sure you don't forget to order a dipping sauce for an extra $1. I forgot but it was still good without it. The first sip of my tea was tasteless. I thought maybe it didn't get mixed well but nope it was quite bland! Although I ordered 100% sugar level it tasted like I was drinking a tall glass of milk with boba with no flavor. I heard about this new bubble tea chain from a friend and had to try it, especially because it originated in Taiwan! The tapioca/boba is VERY good -- perfectly sweet, chewy, thoroughly cooked, and pretty large too. The prices are definitely on the higher end, like the other stores that are comparable, but the quality of the boba makes it feel more worthwhile. I tried the strawberry green tea with boba, 100% sugar and 50% ice. It tastes how I would have expected, with fresh strawberry and really good boba. It's very comparable to the same drink at Moge Tee. I also liked that adjusting the ice level doesn't cost extra. The store was nice, it was busy and there was a good amount of seats! It's also very close to UCF. When we first walked in the associates were busy making drinks but as soon as an associate was available they were helpful and quick. This is my go to boba place on the east side of Orlando & for good reason. I went today and got the salted cheese green tea and the Oreo milk tea. Both were really good! Furthermore the tea quality was good as well. The place is really clean and has a really bubbly aesthetic, it could potentially be a good place for people to study, which I have seen people do. Was very intrigued by the happy lemon from both the name and their unique menu items. As someone who would consider themselves a boba tea regular, I was welcomed to the idea of "salted cheese" at the happy lemon. The boba barista was kind enough to let me sample the cheese foam and I was intrigued enough to want to buy a drink with this topping. I ordered the matcha green tea with salted cheese foam and although the drink was made well, I was not a fan at all. The matcha flavor did not pair well with the slather cheese foam and I immediately wish I had ordered something different. I will be returning to the happy lemon as I am excited to try more of their menu items but will I be ordering that menu item ever again. I first tried this franchise in San Diego then again in Seattle and now all the way in Orlando, and you know what's amazing!? My experience never changed... crazy right!? The same quality, great service and bright positive atmosphere in all three locations. While the boba is great the real reason we goto Happy Lemon is the Egg Waffle... if you've had egg waffles before or think you know how good they are, you're wrong! They had a BOGO deal going on during their grand opening weekend! I loved Happy Lemon when I first tried it in San Diego, CA & I was so happy to hear that they were opening in Orlando! Bubble tea is my go-to drink, so naturally, I had to have it at my wedding. Happy Lemon was a total hit with the 130 guests (old and young) during our Cocktail Hour Par-tea! We chose to serve milk tea with boba and kumquat lemon green tea with lychee jelly. More details: Being a classic black milk tea snob, I loved HL's strong tea-to-milk ratio. After inquiring with 20+ bubble tea shops and taste testing at least half that number, my husband and I decided that HL was the best choice for quality. I don't live in Orlando, but communicating with Bao was seamless. Everything worked out logistically with the HL team delivering the drinks to the venue. They even included a few extra for the bridal party, which was such a lovely surprise. I'm sad that we didn't get a bunch of bubble tea photos during our celebration, but HL definitely added to our sweet memories. We love Happy Lemon! =) read more

To be honest this isn't my favorite tea spot in the UCF area. I've gone there three times; the first time I ordered the fresh lemon green tea, the Okinawa roasted milk tea with boba and the Oreo bubble waffle. The waffle was alright, the milk tea was on the weaker side, but the fresh lemon green tea was delicious. I was so annoyed since that wasn't my drink. The second time I got the dragon fruit yakult smoothie, and I barely tasted the dragon fruit and didn't taste any yakult at all...it tasted like nothing. That drink was honestly a waste of money, and I recommend you skip on that. If you want a good dragon fruit drink go to Moge Tee...yes it's more expensive but you can actually taste the fruit. The third visit I got the fresh lemon honey green tea, which was delicious. So if you go there I recommended you try the drinks under the 'blended whole lemon' section of the menu. I've been waiting for this place to open and went during soft opening. Service was good and that drinks were tasty. I'm a sucker for citrus so a place that specializes in lemon is really great for me, the biggest thing for me at drink places though, is the ice ratio. The worst thing that can happen is when half way through your drink it suddenly becomes very watered down, for blended drinks. After three return visits this was not an issue for me. I will preface this review by attesting that I am in no way a boba tea aficionado, and am not particularly picky when it comes to tea. I enjoy going to teahouses and boba shops but typically stick with a safe green tea or fruit tea. We'll get to those later. But first. Bubble. Waffles. Oh my god. These may be at the top of my list of waffles, of which I've had plenty. Upon my first visit, I kept it simple with the original waffle and taro puff cream. Never skip the puff cream. I don't know what it is exactly, but it is heavenly. Since my first visit, I have gone back and tried every single flavor and chocolate and matcha are generally my two that I rotate. All of them are really tasty due to the waffle base, the Oreo and red bean ones really just add a subtle hint of flavor, but the puff cream elevates to another level. A 10/10 must try snack if you're in the University area. Now, onto the tea. Throughout my many visits I've tried both the Whole Lemon and Blended Green Teas as well as the Lemon Slushy. I will say if you're not a fan of tart flavors and real lemon, definitely avoid these. The Whole Lemon drinks can have a bit of a bitter aftertaste due to all the lemon in the drink. The slushies are really good though, more lemonade-forward where the teas are more bitter and tea-forward. Kinda reminds me of CFA's frozen lemonade. All in all, a really cute tea spot in the Orlando area that is perfect for casual hangouts and delicious waffles. Always a really nice atmosphere and friendly staff to make it a very positive experience. Just go for the waffles, that's the best part. read more
