This spot is cool when it's early! The food is good and this the reasonable why I go there! Is ghetto but it's okay! I love the crabs and shrimp there. It's not expensive good better to much other places. It's clean but I hate when the people smoke cigarettes as is not in Philly but it's close the Southwest. Most people is cool and sometime people and a mess. It has parking in front. I recommend this to anyone but it's really a cool spot on the weekend if you don't mind if it's not too chilled with good people. Most times it's safe. They check bags when it's late . I only like going her for my crabs!!

I normally call and place my order and they give me a ticket number . Their seafood is great I spent $25 on this order. This is the "Happy Seafood Combo " with Alaskan snow crabs, mussels, 6xl shrimps and . They are a little heavy on the garlic . It's a bar so they are opened til late. Perfect for your late night seafood cravings. Extensive menu but I specifically go there for the seafood. Would definitely recommend to seafood lovers. Cash only establishment but ATM is inside.

I came here for a friend's birthday gathering and the drinks were tasty but the drink I had was overpriced for what it was.

Great visit to the Residence Inn at Bala Cydwyn for a mini Philadelphia getaway…read more While looking at various hotels in the Philadelphia area, including the downtown area, I saw there were lots of options but many only offered small rooms and charged upwards of $60 per night for parking. Others utilized parking garages "in the area" that were not connected with the hotel and I had some safety concerns with that. I have always enjoyed staying at Marriott's Residence Inns and saw that this one checked all the boxes: good reviews, free parking, free breakfast, fitness center, within minutes from eating options and only 15 minutes away from downtown Philadelphia. The immediate area of the hotel is unique in that it is surrounded by iron works and the hotel builds on that theme with some lovley decor throughout its space. The hotel is right off the Schuykill River. There is a great walking/running trail alongside the river there as well; the Pencoyd Trail. That entire area is separated from the rest of the town by I-95 and some train tracks...very safe and quiet. Check-in process was simple. The lobby was well-maintained with some business-center style computers off to the side. We ended up getting a studio suite with one king bed, sofabed and a kitchen. The room was great...the full-sized refrigerator, kitchen, microwave, iron, ironing board and large TV with adequate channels (including HBO) are always appreciated, especially when traveling with the family. The TV also allows you to sign into a few streaming apps, including Netflix, Youtube and Amazon Prime. Clean bathroom with good water pressure. Efficient climate control in the room as well. Quiet rooms...we didn't hear much outside noise. Ice machines were seemingly on every floor. There are two restaurants at the hotel...one is casual and the other a bit nicer. Hot tea and coffee, iced coffee, water and cookies are free and available at all times in the lobby. There is a "marketplace" shop that sells snacks and drinks in the lobby as well. There is an adequate fitness center, nice-sized pool, a game room (a few games) and a lovely lounge area with a fire place. The lounge area is a quite big and had some great soft/lounge seating throughout as well as lots of board games. A nice place to kill time before check-in or after check-out, or just relax. The stay price was a bit higher than some other options, but the extras and conveniences make up for that. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

It is only about 20 minutes outside of Center City Philly, but feels a world away. Tucked away in a quiet location near a windy road surrounded on both sides with green trees everywhere. The hotel sits right on the Schuylkill River and the parking lot has an industrial look with old steel beams above it and an old railroad track near the hotel. There is also the Pencoyd Bridge which allows you to walk across the river and the Cynwyd Heritage Trail which is a roughly 2-mile trail along the river. Really beautiful setting. The interior of the hotel is nice, modern, and clean. The room was great with a full kitchen and the high ceilings (11-foot?) made the room feel very open and spacious. The beds were comfortable as well. There are two restaurants directly on the hotel premises. Lark and The Landing Kitchen (TLK). We did not try Lark but we ordered food from TLK twice. They have a small menu, but offer enough variety. The TLK burger was one of the best burgers I have had. The smoked turkey hoagie was solid. I would have liked to try the breakfast burrito but that will have to wait until next time. The hotel offers free breakfast from 6:00 - 9:00 a.m. and it was actually a very good breakfast. All your standard options like bagels, muffins, fruit, breakfast potatoes, eggs, bacon, coffee and juices. They also have waffle makers; the kind where you pour the batter in yourself. There are only two things that prevented this review from being a 5/5 star rating. The shower is very roomy but only half of the shower has glass, the other half is wide open. This made the water from the shower pool on the floor right outside of the shower where there is no glass. Not a huge deal, I just put a towel down. The other thing is that room service came into our room and emptied our trash cans but didn't do anything else. They did not restock the toilet paper, did not make the beds, did not provide clean towels, did not do anything else besides empty the trash cans in the room, which I thought was kind of weird. With that said, we loved our stay and it was the perfect location. We would like to go back and visit again soon.

We had just learned that my wife's father was in his final hours at Jefferson Methodist Hospital, and we rushed from Virginia, anxious and heartbroken. From the moment we called to let the hotel know we'd be arriving late, Kelly West and the staff responded with genuine empathy and understanding. They didn't just check us in--they welcomed us with open arms, making us feel cared for and supported. That first night, after saying goodbye to my wife's dad, the women at the front desk took extra time to comfort my wife. They listened patiently, offered gentle words, and even shared their own stories of loss, letting us know we weren't alone. Throughout our week-long stay, every member of the staff went out of their way to make things easier for us. They greeted us each morning with warm smiles and asked how we were holding up. Some staff members discreetly left notes of encouragement for my wife, while others offered to help with anything we needed, from directions to the temple to recommendations for places to eat that would accommodate our grieving family. As the funeral approached, the front desk team worked tirelessly to help us block off rooms for our extended family, ensuring we could all be together and support each other. They coordinated everything so seamlessly, it felt as if they were part of our family, anticipating our needs before we even voiced them. On the day of the funeral, when the temple's projector failed, Kelly immediately offered the hotel's projector so we could share a slideshow of my wife's dad in happier times. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to us. Kelly and the staff's compassion, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond made a lasting impact on our family. Their thoughtful actions--big and small--helped carry us through a week of sorrow, and for that, we are deeply grateful. Thank you, Kelly, and everyone at the Residence Inn Philadelphia Airport, for treating us with such care and for making us feel like family when we needed it most.

Cozy, friendly and within decent range of my destinations. Parking was easy as they have a small lot at the back of the building. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was great. My room was on the 3rd floor, so beware if you are bring a lot of luggage as there are no elevators (not that I was expecting any). I reserved this room as I wanted the fireplace. My only caveat: If you plan on using the fireplace, it is gas, and I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get it on the first night. I asked the next morning and didn't realize I had to ask for the pilot light to be lit. It was early October and it had just gotten cool out. The hosts were so accommodating! There is a small pantry area where there is a fridge for common use if needed with bottled water and coffee/tea available. (Keurig and Kcups). This was my first time booking a B&B and it was the perfect experience. My only SLIGHT disappointment was that the Wi-Fi left a little to be desired. It was sometimes spotty, but still got me through. I would most definitely recommend it and if I am in the Philly area, would book it again in a heartbeat!

We had originally booked another place on Airbnb but when we arrived it was dirty and we decided to leave. I found the Gables at the last minute and they had a room and allowed us to check in within an hour. The room was amazing. We were so worn down after a day of travel and the bad Airbnb experience that we would have taken anything clean, but were pleasantly surprised by the pristine, peaceful, beautiful suite that we got. The owners were very understanding of our situation and helped us get settled right away. They were great about helping us get trolley tokens and find our way downtown so we could enjoy what was left of the day. In addition, since it was my birthday they even surprised us with cake and champagne. The morning breakfast was also great and checkout was easy. I am a Penn alum but somehow didn't know about the Gables. It is now my go to place for trips to Philadelphia, I can't recommend it enough. Thanks to the owners for a great stay!

The shower door was basically glued shut so I couldn't close the shower doors, so the side with the shower head was completely open. The iron looks like it hasn't been used in years. I was trying to iron my shirt and every time I tried it was like, sticky or something, it wouldn't even glide on my clothes and I had to hold my clothes down in hopes of hopefully ironing my shirt before it got caught again. Then I was wondering why I was seeing random pieces of something that was brown/big chunks of brown, it looked similar to dirt.... I looked at the back of the iron and the part where steam comes out was crusty... yuck! The ironing board creaked more than an old door! That thing needs some WD40. And I know sometimes it's hard to get ink stains out of towels, but one of the towels had an ink stain on it and I know it was probably washed, but I didn't want to use it. One of the pillows also had an ink stain on the back of it, and the comforter also had an ink stain too that I didn't realize until morning. The gym... if you are desperate to workout then use the gym. The floor was cleaner than the mat in this gym!! It looks like the mat was pulled out of a dumpster and reused. The women's bathroom in this gym area were in the back corner. They look like the bathrooms in movies where women get stolen because someone is waiting for them inside. Super creaky door and poor lighting inside. I did not go all the way inside. After I wiped the weights one time, I wiped them again and the wipes were still brown from the weight handles! The flooring in the gym was coming up from every "tile" and there is a hole in the wall, like someone got mad and kicked it. The seats are torn apart and DEEPLY used. The whole area needs to be refurbished. In the morning, I had breakfast at the only little coffee shop that was open at 5:30am. The cashier/barista was very nice and friendly and she made my coffee taste delicious! However, I had to order a bagel because none of the breakfast sandwiches were in yet. Very unfortunate as I was looking forward to a real breakfast before work, but I understand it is not the woman's fault. THE POSITIVE: All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! The service would be the ONLY reason I go back, unfortunately they work in a very run-down hotel. I was offered a free cookie and, as always, it was delicious!

We selected this property specifically due to the provision of a fitness center with cardio and dumbbell options as well as a late check out so we could stay active and relax while waiting on a flight. Unfortunately, after we checked in and got to our room, we experienced significant noise due to construction on the floor immediately below our room. This included a jackhammer sound, sanding, drilling and such. Furthermore, we soon realized that the fitness center was closed not due to broken equipment yet as they were using it to store air conditioners for the construction. None of this was disclosed on the website when making a reservation, at check in, or in written communication in the room. We tried to make do yet found that at times we couldn't even hear the tv or would have had to turn up very loud and risk headache from that or the construction noise. I do not believe this is up to IHG standards by any means.

I had to make a palletb on the floor with blankets and pillows for my son. I was too afraid he would fall off the bed. You can tell this was converted to a "nicer brand hotel". The beds are updated, there are Dove products in the bathroom, and the furniture is sturdy. The problem is that the carpets haven't been changed or cleaned. It still has that feel of an inexpensive one night hotel. I spoke with someone today and they told me a crib was available. I told them I couldn't continue my reservation with them if they didn't have one. The crib was delivered to my room almost immediately. The area surrounding the hotel is cute and scenic. The Delaware River is right next door and so is a historic and kiss friendly park.
